The company has established a reputation for providing a user-friendly online auction platform, with many customers appreciating the ease of bidding and tracking items. Positive feedback highlights the quality of products and efficient transaction processes. However, significant concerns arise regarding website performance, excessive shipping charges, and insufficient customer support, particularly in resolving issues related to missing items and unclear invoicing. Overall, while the platform is favored for its convenience and product variety, improvements in customer service responsiveness and transparency in seller charges are necessary to enhance the overall customer experience.

While registering, I was not able to add my credit card information using my I-Phone. I then went to a laptop computer and was able to enter the credit card info…
I won 2 of the bids, but after the auction I was notified that my credit card information did not work and said to call a phone # and arrange another payment method.
There is not an issue with my credit card as I used it for other purchases that same day and since. The bank did not reject the purchase as they would check with me before doing that… so still not sure what the issue is.
Someone on your side was texting me updates and I want to say thank you for the updates, this was my first online auction and because of you I will be bidding on more auctions
I bid on items and won, but have not received any info on my merchandise
This was my very first bid. It went really well and I was very pleased with the items I purchased.
Big d discount advertise stuff as new and when you go pic it up it's mostly used or broken I'm telling you because my friend referred me to you guys and he told me to be careful which auction you bid on some are just scammers just like big d
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about your experience with Big D Discount. We understand how frustrating it is when items don’t match their description, especially when they’re advertised as new but turn out to be used or broken.
While HiBid itself doesn’t control individual auction houses, we take these concerns seriously and encourage you to report any issues directly to the auction house. If you need assistance with a specific auction, we’re happy to help connect you.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we hope your future experiences are more positive.
Several times while trying to bid it said network error, my sister and dad had the same issues and both go through different internet providers.
I'm also very confused about what I'm supposed to be picking up tomorrow, everything says you MAY have won so I'm not sure how big of a vehicle I need to bring.
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the network issues you and your family experienced while trying to bid. We understand how frustrating it can be when connectivity problems interrupt the bidding process.
As for the "You MAY have won" status, it typically means the auction is still in progress or has a soft close. We recommend checking your email or auction details for confirmation once the auction ends. If you’re unsure about your items or need further help, feel free to contact the auction house directly.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope your future auctions go more smoothly.
Online auctions are the way to go for me. Stress free bidding from anywhere you have access to the internet.
I sent three separate emails requesting sizes of some of the lats. It would be helpful if either the dimensions were in there or something sitting next to it where we could judge it like a pop can.
Well I think that your percentage is too high and was not expecting that
Thank you for your feedback. We understand how important it is to have clear expectations about fees, and we’re sorry if the bidding percentage was higher than you anticipated.
Each auction house sets its own fees, but we appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We hope your future experiences are more in line with your expectations.
Great people to work with you will learn your different auction companies and will see who has the most items that you are interested in. I have been dealing with this site for 6 years and only had a couple of problems
I wish instead of updating every 60 seconds when time is running down after a bid it would show the actual countdown.
Love the platform on my PC but also easy to use/bid on my tablet and phone (I am generally reluctant to use my portable devices for things like this).
Over all.I've been very pleased, but lately I've noticed. Some auction companies are getting sloppy with product descriptions. And they're not exactly what they've been described. They would say it's one brand and when you get there. It's a different brand thankfully. The auction house made good and refunded but I hate auction credit
The site worked well as expected. I liked how I could set the site to show 100,50, or 25 items. It just went smoothly. I was very happy about it.
After I wasted a few hours watching, waiting and bidding I seemed that I won a few items. However when I contacted the auctioneer about pick up, I received an email saying that actually it was a glitch on HiBid and the auction was postponed blabla bla!
So I wasted my time and didn't won anything, total garbage!
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re truly sorry to hear about the issues you encountered. We understand how frustrating it can be to spend time bidding only to find out that the auction was postponed due to a glitch.
We take technical issues like this seriously, and we apologize for the inconvenience it caused. If you continue to experience problems or need further clarification, please reach out to us, and we’ll do our best to assist.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we hope your future experiences are more positive.
It was just simply cool!
It's kinda addictive! Looking for to more!
I like that many of my favorite auctioneers are on Hi-bid so it's easy to keep eyes on several listings at the same time.
The entire lot was fake autographs and listed a real authentic autographs absolutely disgusting and needs to be taken seriously because people are paying hard earned money just to be ripped off by there scam artist
Thank you for sharing your experience, and we’re deeply sorry to hear about the fake autographed items you received. We take issues like this very seriously, as we understand the importance of authenticity when it comes to collectibles.
We encourage you to report this situation directly to the auction house, as they are responsible for the items listed. If you need assistance, please contact us, and we’ll help facilitate communication. Fraudulent listings are not tolerated, and we will investigate further.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we’ll work to ensure that future auctions are more secure for all bidders.
I was trying to place a bid for $1100 and it popped up a message starting it required auctioneer approval. As the auction was ending soon this was alarming! I ended up losing the auction because I didn't know what to do. If you're going to hold a bid, you should provide details on why, what the hold is, and how long it will take.
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the confusion you experienced with the auctioneer approval message. We understand how stressful it can be to have your bid delayed, especially when the auction is about to end.
We agree that more clarity on why a bid is held and the time frame for approval is important. We’ll pass your feedback along to improve the process. In the meantime, if you encounter a similar issue, we recommend reaching out to the auction house directly for clarification.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and hope your future auctions go more smoothly.
While in the last minutes of my bidding the bidding froze and I was unable to rebuild, and I lost the lir, The auctions continued to pause and finally I stopped bidding,I had planned to spend much more
Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry to hear about the issues you faced with freezing and pausing during the auction. We understand how frustrating it can be, especially when you were prepared to bid more.
If you continue to experience these issues, please reach out to us for assistance. We appreciate you sharing your experience, and we hope your future auctions go more smoothly.
Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
Answer: Most auctioneer there are scammers, a thrift store would be better option.
Answer: YES! Confirmed by an auctioneer I know. Hibid auctioneers can see your "maximum bid" and in most states it's legal to "shill" an auction or to bid against the public bidders - to "ensure reasonable sale prices" per national auctioneers associations. Also, anyone can set up an identity and bid against you. Although that may get interesting when they have to pay a commission to "buy" their own item!
Answer: "Mechanically challenged" is often a term auctioneers use to indicate that an item might not be functioning properly. It usually means that the piece needs repairs, doesn't operate as intended, or may have some technical issues. It's best to reach out to the seller for a clearer explanation to avoid any surprises. By confirming the exact condition directly with them, you'll have a better understanding of what you're bidding on.
Answer: Yes, if you suspect any fraud, please contact HiBid directly at 844-775-4774. Our team is here to assist you and ensure a safe and secure experience.
Answer: Some auctioneers require credit card verification as part of the bidder registration process. This process involves a temporary authorization charge of $1.00 to ensure the card is valid. In some cases, additional processing fees or taxes might cause the amount to appear slightly higher, such as $1.46. Please rest assured that this is not an actual charge but rather a temporary hold that will be released by your card issuer. Typically, these holds clear within 5-7 business days, depending on your financial institution. If the charge doesn't disappear after this time, we recommend contacting your credit card provider for further assistance.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out regarding your bidder rating and the reasons behind it. Bidder ratings on HiBid are determined by various factors, such as your bidding activity and whether you've been permanently approved or declined by auction companies in the past. Unfortunately, HiBid support and bidders themselves cannot view or access these ratings or the specific reasons behind them, as this information is exclusively available to auctioneers. The best way to gain insight is to contact an auctioneer you have a good relationship with or one whose auctions you'd like to participate in. They may be able to provide some clarity or work with you to address any concerns.
Answer: Thank you for reaching out! We understand how it can be confusing when an item is removed before an auction ends, but please rest assured it's not a scam. Sometimes auctioneers encounter unforeseen issues and may need to cancel or relist items. Keep in mind that auctioneers often work with consignors to ensure items are sold fairly, which can involve reserve prices or other considerations that may or may not be visible on specific listings. We recommend reaching out to the auctioneer directly for more details. If you have any difficulty reaching them, we're here to help facilitate communication.
Answer: Yes, HiBid regularly features a wide selection of motorcycles available for auction.
Thank you for your feedback, and apologies for the delayed response. We’re sorry to hear about the issues you experienced with entering your credit card information. We understand how frustrating it can be when payment details aren’t processed correctly, especially when everything appears to be fine with your card.
Sometimes, technical issues can arise that may cause payment problems even if there’s no issue with the card itself. If you continue to face payment issues in the future, please reach out to us for further assistance, and we’ll do our best to help resolve it quickly.
We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, and we hope your next experience is much smoother.
