I've never used an online auction and have only been to one in-person auction before. Pretty simple to understand and follow. I won about half of the items I bid on and feel good about my first experience.

The only suggestion I have would be the ability to look up items by lot number. Also thr search function only brings up exact words.

I had an extremely unfortunate experience with John Stephens at Great West Auctions in Petrolia, Ontario, Canada. I used them for my parents estate and amongst many questionable practices a deliberate theft was set up and all my father's extensive Elvis record collections/cd's as well as other records were stolen and I have no recourse. I have spent considerable time trying to find what there was in this pristine collection to no avail and at prices that are very high. Much I could say but the end result with regards to all the other items totaled just over 400.00 which was issued by cheque to me. The prices he sold the items at were priced way less than Goodwill have sold them for. Had I been informed as to how they operated I never would have gone ahead with them and as such I will never use an auction house for anything due to this horrendous experience I encountered. As well many items listed on the online auction were not even my father's and I can't even be sure what else was "stolen". Many of his cohorts were coming in and out of the house and it was utter chaos. Obviously, my kindness to John and my vulnerability were greatly exploited. I truly hope this is not standard practice for an auction house as I wouldn't want this happening to anyone else. I had to create an account in order to post this review.

This seller often has multiple quantities with condition ranging from Rough - Good - Excellent. The photos of the actual item does not provide enough detail to show why one is Rough, another is Good and almost identical one is Excellent. I would prefer more detail or explanation as to why the difference between identical items being sold. Thanks! I
