My over-all auction experience was positive, other than losing an item, there seemed to be an auction house that had submitted the same auction on another website which made things a little confusing at the close. But, I'm guessing that's done frequently, I'm not too saavy on the on-line auction ways, but this is a learning experience and I will do my due-diligence in the future! Really enjoy the ease of use. Timing for lots is set up well, and it's nice to know how bidding increments are handled with time allowed for upping your bid if you have been outbid! Clear shipping practices.

The album auctions I was in I was bidding against myself? I bid up a few albums tgat j alone was bidding a guy had 2 auctions going on at same time and I was thinking they were different the lot numbers were the same on some example I was bidding on Beatles rubber sole against myself

The ability to search for hidden gems nationally and in some cases internationally has been awesome. I have won a few auctions from Canada, and all over the USA. I am not real happy with the shipping and handling fees though and there should be a way of rating auction houses for their cooperation with retrieving your items you won. I had some items that were not breakable and could simply be put into an envelope and the shipping and handling was double my bid price. I have a had about 70% over charge, 30% fair.

I've shopped on highbid for sometime now, and love it. This particular auction did have a lot of lots — a lot!, which seemed to slow down the speed at which you could change pages. This made me a little anxious during bidding. Otherwise everything went great!

Bid and went to pick up
First said they didn't get my payment which I sent and then didn't give me 2 items.
They stated I got credit for The one but blew me off for my other item. It's a piss off and I wont be using this again. I dont even know how to access the credit.

Website was glitchy during the auction and wasn't able to see won items. This resulted in bidding on more items then wanted. After the auction I was billed for more items than expected. I called a few time till I got through to someone and was told there's nothing they will do to fix the issue. I will be closing my account with them.

Love the map feature to search auctions around you. The live auction option is great when you are bidding on multiple items. Plus you can 'X' out the items you are not interested in to focus on what you are. Great platform for bidding!

After winning a bid, all the fees makes it cheaper to just go buy at a store and bypass all the junk with missing parts, the broken pieces, the stained rugs, the high buyers premium, the taxes, the credit card fees, and anything else that they can tack on after the sale. Then you have to be there on a certain day, certain time to pick up your stuff... No bargains to be found here!

I was not able to pick up the items on the pick up date. I phoned and they said it would fine to pick them up the following day. The lady I spoke with was very nice.

Some auctions are easy to bid on, the extended time period for bidding goes smoothly and the process is good. Other auctions appear to have AI bid to increase the final price of the items. The same with picking up items, some auctions are very organized, others it's grab what you want and some of the items you purchased are missing.

I won A ring off this site. Shows a quote for a Real lab diamonds. But when three jewelers tested, came back as fake moissanite. Be careful on what you are looking at they will trick you What you're actually getting

Answer: Licensed auctioneer here- auction law is that if you give notice that you need to retract your bid before the hammer falls (or the auction ends online) that the auctioneer is required to retract the bid. Actual law also dictates that bidding must start over at opening bid, not the next highest bid.
Answer: Very easy. If you dont get someone immediately they do call back. But once again if you have a problem with items contact the auction house not hibid. Hibid doesn't auction they only provide the platform
