I have been ordering from Hello Fresh for years. The quality of their products and the quantity of their products was great. Recently I have noticed poor quality ingredients, ingredients missing from the boxes, boxes arriving on completely different days to when they are due. When you contact customer service they say they will do something when they are online, but they never do that thing. They advertise $25 off a box if you buy x boxes in a period of time. You do that, but the $25 is never applied to your next box.
This was my first experience with meal kits. I was delighted with the packaging of the ingredients, and the freshness of most, with the exception of a few wilted salad greens, and the Mango which was too green to be usable. Fortunately I had a ripe Mango on hand to 'save the day". Plenty of delicious food for dinner, and it was FUN!
I do not understand these reviews! I am chef, although, I am not in the business any longer. I rarely have time to go to the grocery and started to hate cooking. Tried a couple of the home deliveries and was not impressed. I love Hello Fresh, had a problem with delivery with the unexpected snowstorm, but they did not charge me for the next order. I love cooking again., the ingredients are top of the line and always fresh! Highly recommend!
I order 3 e-giftcards for my daughter's birthday, only two was emailed to her. However odrder history showed three and I paid three. Overall the website is very difficult to use, the customer service is some one at home with kids noices in the background and she was unfamiliar with Hello Fresh website. Won't order from them again!
I was supposed to get a free box but $60 later, it's definately not free. I couldn't see what they were offering until after I put in my credit card and then I immediately cancelled because it wasn't things we'd eat. I still was charged and they refused to refund it saying it was already processed and that all future orders would be.
So I tried this last week for the first time wanting to see if it would be a solution for me and my son. We had such a hard time navigating the app that we couldn't even pick the food we wanted. When I wanted to cancel I went over the instructions in The Help area several times it says go online and you can cancel or go through the app and you can cancel. You cannot cancel through the app if you have the app downloaded to your phone and you use your phone to go online to cancel it you cannot do that either you have to delete the app in order to go online and be able to cancel your subscription they don't tell you that so be careful with these companies the food portions are extremely small
I absolutely love Hello Fresh! I have tried all the others including Plated (never delivered but said they did... twice), Marley Spoon (delivered late and spoiled) Dinnerly (same as Marley Spoon which makes sense when you realize they're the same company.) Blue Apron (No complaints) and Sun Basket (My other favorite) But Hello fresh comes out on top for so many reasons from dependable delivery to fresh ingredients, to fun recipes I can cook with my kids. Thank you for making my life easier!
I was on the web site and saw the promo for 16 free meals for signing up. I filled out the application and got to the point of entering the code for the 16 free meals. After entering the code it said that promotion was no longer available. I felt this was a bait and switch so I did not complete the sign up. Several days later I received a box from HelloFresh. I called to find out why I was sent the meals. Customer support told me that when I entered my credit card information I was set up even though I did not complete the order. What I received was not what I would have ordered. I canceled and was told I would receive no future shipments, but I would not receive a refund.
I received word that HelloFresh was now offering meals for one. So I looked into my old account to see what they had to offer and did not see they had meals for one. Apparently when you go in there and you look at what their specials are and click on it you automatically reenroll and they'll send out a box and charge you. They sent it to a house that I lived in three years ago. Customer service to try and get it changed was horrific. I was not able to get any changes made it through them. Unbelievable horrible customer service. I was very interested in doing the meal for one, but HelloFresh will never see me again or anybody I know I will spread the word to my dying Day...
First box of 3 meals for 3 people fine, second box of 3 meals for 3 people fine, third box (forgot to order - ok nevermind) they are sending us/taken money for 6 meals.
Customer service shocking, it's a scam, avoid.
I completed a transaction with confused.com and was offered a choice of 3 rewards for my custom. One the rewards was a free box from hello fresh, which I ordered and £ 34.00 was taken from my account without my permission. When I contacted them they told me I was too late to cancel and just brushed me off. They refused to refund me.
Unfortunately, I have to press one star to give a rating, but this is two stars too much. I will NEVER give them my custom again and I urge others to follow. Customer service was absolutely disgracerul
DO NOT ever set up an account with Hello Fresh. They sent me a delivery I didn't order. I provided them a screenshot of where I skipped the order and they apologized and said they would refund my money. They did not refund anything and I never heard from them again.

Spent all night throwing up and cramping with cold sweats after eating the blackened chicken penne pasta. Because I was suspicious about the chicken I opened the 3rd pack of chicken this morning and found it was rotten. The smell was horrible. Reached out to HelloFresh. They first offered to refund me 10.54 for one meal (the one that made me sick - I am still very sick as I type this) and when I asked about the chicken I had to throw out this morning (for 3rd meal) because it was rotten, I was suddenly offered a refund of 28.34. I am to "hear" from someone by email to discuss this further. What I want to know is how did I end up with rotten food and how often does this happen? How is this company regulated? I will certainly let everyone I know not to try this service.
They were charging my credit card twice, when I'd call to let them know I'd get a rep who refused to help. They wouldn't look into it or anything! Not sure why they pay people to NOT do customer service.
Very gluten/carb heavy and you can't opt out. Meals take FOREVER to make. NOT faster than going to the grocery store and making on my own.
They only have a few veggie options and it was ALWAYS the same! We got green beans 90% of the time, and they were only not rotten one time.
I tried to use a coupon given to me from a friend. I placed the order tried the coupon it did not work. I cancelled the order as soon as the coupon did not work. You sent the order CHARGED ME $105.00. I called customer service and was told I could not get a refund because the order was already sent. It should not have been sent because it was cancelled with in 5 minutes. She said it showed the account was cancelled. Very disappointed.
Got my first box of 3 dinners with the $40 off for the month of April so it was 29.00 for the 3 meals. I was very pleased and so was my husband. We had a sausage and peppers sandwich the side was asparagus! Fresh ingredients, good quality meat the sausage was above and beyond what I wld usually get. A fabulous Italian seasoning made it extra good. It's a treat to have someone else's idea for dinner especially when it is such quality. Very easy to make all on a baking sheet in the oven. I say hell yeah... Adding to this review we had the other two meals out of our 3 they were not so great Beef Bolognese & parm crusted chicken, although they send good meat, grass feed beef and natural chicken, they were just very average and I wld not look to have them again.
I have been a customer of Hello Fresh for about 3 years. I called the company to suspend my subscription for 3 months while I was away. For some reason Hello Fresh began charging me for meals 3 weeks before my return. My neighbor who has been bringing in my mail and checking for packages says that there have been no deliveries from Hello Fresh yet the company charged my credit card. I called Hello Fresh and although it acknowledges that I called to suspend the service for 3 months, it says it does not accept suspensions for that long of a period so the subscription automatically restarted. Yet the boxes did not arrive! The company has refused to credit my account and I have now permanently canceled my subscription. I have heard of others who have had similar problems.
I cancelled my complete account on the 9/01/2023, a refund was issued and he told me on the phone that he had completely closed my account and that To reactive it all I have to do is log in. NO ACCOUNTS ARE NOW ACTIVE. I recieved a charge on the 16/01/2023 for £33.48 and again on the 23/01/2023 for £33.48. I called up and spoke to Someone who was useless. I told her my account details and she said, yes I can see that account and they're inactive. I said so why am I being charged after I closed it. She said let me check. A short while after trying to blame me for logging in 'accidentally' She said the account is now active. I said but right at the beginning you said they're not so how is it now? I asked if it had been reactivated since we've been on the phone and she said yes. Anyway I've asked for a manager to call me back… wether I'll get my money back who knows but check your bank statements if you've closed your accounts because they're still robbing me!
I used them before years ago and decided to see if i wanted to use it again so I deactivated my email in order to see the coupons they've sent out only to find out a month later that food was being shipped to my old address and my card was being charged weekly called to get my money back and I was hung up on called back and was told a supervisor would call me back. I wish this place all the bad it's truly a scam don't open any emails from them I will be taking it to small claims for scamming me
I cancelled my subscription and was still charged. I contacted customer service to see what kind of refund they can provide and they said there wasn't anything they can do. I'm in customer service too… you definitely can find SOMETHING to refund the customer back but it seems like they truly don't care about customer satisfaction. Theyre wildly expensive. Extremely disappointed.

Answer: I signed up and realised its a scam - your first order is only able to be placed 2 weeks away, meaning they get your money even if you use a coupon... and from other reviews they won't let you cancel. I just registered a voucher, saw the dates and tried to cancel... and can't - there is no "cancel" on their website
Answer: You will still have to pay for delivery and such because this company says those things cannot be covered by a gift card. Beware signing up, because they will subscribe you as soon as you enter credit card information. It is in their Terms and Conditions at the beginning of the process.
Answer: You're automatically on auto ship…any week you don't overtly cancel will get sent out and you'll get charged.
Answer: Nor really. They will want to give you a partial refund of the single ingredient you found to be of poor quality... and that's if you want to take the time to navigate the website to find out how to do it. Their website is totally designed to make customer service difficult.
