This will be the second time using your company, I am very happy with everthing the first time so this time should be great as well. I'm due to drop off my truck tomorrow morning, so I expect everything will go just fine but we shall see.
From departure to delivery car was kept indoors/contained. Arrived in good condition.
Very professional. Hope your complete service follows through.
Wish all transportation companies were as easy to deal with. It was like a gentle sea breeze, check in, pick it u8p a short time later.
I've used this company to originally ship my car out here and they made it so easy! Great service!
Making a reservation to ship a vehicle is very easy. I also verified the rate with the point of contact listed in an email request for quoute.
Pickup came a day early which was nice. The advance call to meat transport driver was initially 2 hours our but then time alipped another 2.5 hours. I willbuse this company again.
Booking so far pretty easy. But that is like saying ordering on a menu was easy. Shipping and arrival will be like eating the main course.
Easy. One of our friends recommended Pasha. I was going to ship with Matson but have known of Pasha for many years. Would be interested to learn about shipping a small pod to Maui, maybe from Oregon.
Highly professional. Communication was excellent. Vehicle arrived in like new condition.
Sofar sogood
Will take 3 weeks not 2 as first told.
So far it is good.
Easy and quick
Quick and efficient.
Before:
Booking is pretty straightforward but paying first and waiting for booking number and further instructions is different.
Is there other paperwork to fill out? When will I know if my order was accepted? What paperwork is required to make this a seamless process? These are the things that make people reluctant to make online transactions. I had my car professionally cleaned and Hawaii Car Transport still charged me a cleaning fee, don't know what it was for because my car was covered with salty grime when I received it. You want the vehicle spotless when you take possession of it.
After:
It should be cleaned before you return it to the owner. You should provide the Matson Port Number because the Hawaii Car Transport booking number doesn't mean anything to Matson. I never received any communication from Hawaii Car Transport after they took my car. I had to call them multiple times just to get status. Finally, the paperwork was wrong, the recipient and the shipper's names were swapped on the contract. I was lucky to get a Matson employee in Long Beach who helped me get the right documentation and my car.
Conclusion:
I wouldn't use this service again if I had a choice
Very easy to book. We received excellent service from John Namba who take care of everything for us.
As business should be. Top notch!
I contracted with Hawaii Car Transport to deliver my Jeep from Las Vegas to Hilo, Hawaii. The company was initially eager and responsive to arrange for pickup of the vehicle from my home in Las Vegas and ground transport to Long Beach, California shipping port. Since my stay in Hawaii was limited to 2 weeks, I stressed the importance of having the vehicle delivered as early as possible since I needed the Jeep to pull a utility trailer. The first few company representatives were accommodating and scheduled a pickup of the Jeep in Las Vegas so that the vehicle would be delivered to the shipping port in Hilo on December 26, one week before my arrival in Hawaii. This required the vehicle to be picked up from my home in Las Vegas by December 12. My sons were able to complete the after market modifications to the Jeep prior to the pickup, although they had to take off a day of work in order to have this done in time. The vehicle was picked up on December 12 as scheduled, but was not delivered to Long Beach until December 15. I was told by Matson shipping company that the ship scheduled to transport my Jeep across the ocean had left the day before. Further delays on the part of Matson shipping company delayed delivery of the Jeep to Hilo until January 11, at which time I was able to pick up the Jeep, 3 days before my departure from Hawaii.
When I reminded the staff at Hawaii car transport company about my time constraints shortly after vehicle pickup, I was then told that they were unable to guarantee a vehicle pickup time in Hawaii ( which they do state within the fine print of the customer contract). The fine print also limits the liability of Hawaii car transport to only $ 1000 for vehicle damage or loss.
I would recommend that people interested in transporting their vehicle contract directly with Matson shipping company for transoceanic shipping of their vehicle, and contract with a different ground vehicle transport company to have their vehicle delivered to the closest available shipping port.
Driver showed up 3 days earlier than expected so that created an issue for us. Also, driver said that I would have to meet him somewhere with both of my cars because he didn't want to try and pull into the neighborhood even though I repeatedly told him there was ample room for his truck and trailer.
So we were not completely satisfied with the "door to terminal" service we paid for.
