My experience was excellent. I wasn't able to find a winner with my first contest and your agent offered to upgrade me for free and I also decided to increase my prize amount. Anytime I sent an email I got a prompt response. In addition, my designer did a great job of getting back with me in a timely matter and would do several different revisions even when I just requested one.
While I have a creative side, and vision for what I like, I don't have the aptitude to execute with technology or even free hand. My project was for a logo for a baseball team, and the response and creativity that I received from my hatchwise contest was fantastic and it helped me exceed my goals. Our team will look and feel good wearing our new logo!
I had a great experience with Hatchwise. After the 10 day competition, we were able to extend the competition with the number of days we thought we needed. I think it was helpful to interact with the designers through feedback, as this inspired other designers to change their logos accordingly. I do not recommend Hatchwise or any similar site for designers. Not only will the losers of the contests have worked for nothing, but also the winners will have created designs for less money than what they really deserve; even a simple design with several variations takes many hours that can span at least 2 days. For a contest that rewards $350, if you're the lucky winner, that's less than $22/hr if you only spend 16 hours. It's even less money for the cheaper contests. Also, I don't know how frequently this happens, but there was one contest I entered and 6-7 months later, the contest holder still hasn't decided whose design(s) to choose. Another nuisance, you need to contact Hatchwise to cancel subscription and terminate account (with termination, all they did was deactivate my account, logging back in will reactivate it.) I'll be keeping an eye on my CC to make sure no strange charges are being made should Hatchwise get hacked by an unscrupulous hacker/employee. But good luck to those of you who can make it work or enjoy wasting your precious time working for free.

I stumbled upon Hatchwise in late 2020 and submitted a lot of entries on that site just to test the waters. It's January 2021 as of this writing, and I have just discovered that my entry NovelFunds.com was stolen in Dec 2020, which means a scumbag (either the bogus contest holder or a member of Hatchwise team) registered the domain without me knowing and getting rewarded for it. What makes Hatchwise even more scammy is all of a sudden I couldn't submit any entry (no matter how many times I press enter) to the first and last biggest reward contest I was partaking in. Very strange and fishy! Anyhow, I'm going to update this review once I discover more stolen domain name ideas.
I actually loved everything about Hatchwise I believe your site is well developed. Whoever came up with this idea. It was a fabulous one. There are so many amazing designs it was very hard decision.
After winning a contest, which had been prepaid by the contest holder, Hatchwise decided to freeze payment to me for three months. Their reason? Suspicious activity. No clarification given. I was told to check back in three months and they would look into it.
I could not have been more surprised by all the wonderful, creative entries I received! This was an amazing experience, and well worth the money. Thank you!

I have never used Hatchwise (or anything like it) before. Wow! I have already recommended you to others. What a brilliant concept. When I read that I could expect 80 options on average, I thought it was an exaggerated number but I received more that 380 options! Some were not great but there were also a lot of really, really good ones. I would use this website again in a heartbeat. Nice work!:-)
It's a great site concept with plenty of designers! Customer service is good too. Only feedback would be to simplify your site's interface. One theme is blue and seems like a different website -- the other is black and white. Sometimes the page navigation is a bit cumbersome as a result, but no biggie.
My first go with this contest was unsuccessful and disappointing, mainly because I was new to Hatchwise and didn't realize that I could comment on entries and instruct designers on how to proceed after the contest had begun. When I contacted customer service about this, they were exceptionally helpful with not only explaining how to encourage more successful entries, but also extended and upgraded my contest for me. I would absolutely recommend Hatchwise to anyone after this great experience. Very appreciative of the service!
I've used Hatchwise twice now and referred a friend who used it as well. I will be using it a third time soon. The real value behind Hatchwise is convenient access to the diversity and creative talents of worldwide designers. It's the only way I will ever have another logo created.
This is my first time. Really impressed with the website and the designers. Received a lot of submissions and designers were open to feedback. Highly recommend and will use again if I need it.
For a first time user it was much better than other platforms I have looked at. I found the designers on Hatchwise very good, and accommodating to the changes. I will be back on Hatchwise again for my next project.

I won a logo contest, which ended two months ago. Payment periods (1st & 14th of each month) come and go and all I get is canned responses from them. The "My Account" page is a joke, as it displays just a bunch of nonsensical information to keep you guessing and thinking that something is happening. I would be shocked if they ever pay me. My next step is report them to the BBB.

We've been in business since 2008, have paid out millions of dollars to designers since then, and consistently make payouts of many thousands of dollars multiple times a month. Occasionally it can take a little while to verify a contest win: making sure there are no issues with plagiarism or copying, that no credit card fraud is happening, collecting the designers info, getting accurate payment info, and making sure that contest holders did not enter the contest and pick themselves as the winner to get around having to select a winner - which is against of our terms of service and unfair to the legit designers who participated in the contest.
All of these issues can cause occasional delays (up to six months in a very few cases in our history - mostly in cases where the initial payment had been flagged as possibly being fraudulent) in payouts (although 99% of all winning designers are paid out on the first payout date following their win), but as long as the required information checks out and the win is legitimate we ALWAYS pay out our winning designers.
