I ordered couple of automatic toothpaste dispensers. They never got processed even after 6 weeks of waiting and I am still waiting. There is no way to email or contact Groupon and it is a con. They will never consider an exchange or refund once purchased and paid, and once paid, you are trapped, these guys don't know what customer service is and will cheat you to their advantage. STAY AWAY from their website www.groupon.com.au
We recently booked a trip to Cairns in May through Great Pacific Travels Pty Ltd. We were very pleased with all aspects of our booking from flight arrangements to hotel accommodation. The specials advertised are not trustworthy, please do your research first! The groupon claimed that we'd save 43% on a buffet for 4 people. But after going to the restaurant, we realized that they have the same buffet advertised for $10 less on their menu! Support was unhelpful, only providing generic answers and claims of 'market fluctuation' but I find it hard to believe that there can be a difference of over 40% due to 'market fluctuation'...
My wife purchased 2 Groupon vouchers for a family kayaking activity (for my birthday) in Brisbane. We booked via Groupon's online booking tool and received confirmation email.
When we arrived, the business had no record of our booking. As the session was fully booked we were turned away. We then had 3 hours to kill until our dinner reservations.
I contacted Groupon immediately and explained the situation, asking for a refund as my birthday had passed. We spent the next 5 weeks writing dozens of emails and using the online chat function. Groupon used lots of dishonest tactics (changing reps in the middle of online chats; failing to respond within timeframes they promised; offering a credit on their UK website!).
They have begrudgingly agreed to a full refund after threats of legal action were made.
You don't need to take the risk of using Groupon. Please learn from my mistake!
Purchased a car wash, was the second one I purchased. And forgot about it as I'm busy with work. Recently remembered and think it should be all right as I haven't received any service they should be able to at least refund that to credit. Read some T/C and said during this covid19 (altho when it comes to my deal, I purely forgot about it, so the expiry has nothing to do with covid19 honestly), they are working to help customers refund the expired vouchers into credit. But when I contacted the online customer support, get a simply answer, no, sorry, it can't be refunded. Yes, I'm sure, sorry about it.
Great, $99 is not a big money, but great it persuade me out of any further groupon deal, never groupon again. Spending more money supporting our local businesses, not a problem, but let this kind of nasty company to make benefits between consumers and merchants, a big NO.
Wrong things delivered and expensive items were not able to contact customer service and when I did they never got back to me. I'm still waiting after 7 weeks to get something returned that came in the wrong colour. Wasn't even cheaper than a legitimate website and now I have the ring thing and can't get my $1000 back?
I ordered a cabinet from Groupon and waited three months but it never arrived. After complaining numerous times online and on live chat, Groupon "investigated" for six weeks but never came to any result. I will not buy anything further from Groupon and their unreliable suppliers.
I ordered a weighted blanket from this mob and Couriers Please could not understand my address and sent it back. Now they can not find it so I have had to ask for my money back. Lets see how long it takes for that to happen.
Do not order from this company. They take your money but do not deliver the purchased items. They then make it near impossible to contact them to chase up your order. A refund is impossible.

If i could leave 0 stars i would.If youre smart you will completely avoid this company! I paid tickets for a festival to be rejected at the door and had to pay double the price of the ticket I purchased, while my friends paid a lot less. Everyone at the festival with a groupon ticket couldn't get in. Now they are apologising and not trying to refund me. Why they apologising? You sold a faulty ticket to a customer, we don't want apologies but our money back. They should really reimburse the difference but looks like just getting a refund is hard enough. Complete scammers. Customer service is a joke they don't want to deal with it at all

For the first time that I am having an issue with a purchased item and gave feedback and complain about it I did not get any support, return or refund. This experience was extremely disappointing and unsatisfying.
I ordered a SOFA BED 2 IN 1, worse purchase ever made, bad quality, extremly uncomfortable. When buying a sofa, you do expect to be sitting comfortably and relax on it. This one in particular, you can not.
Consequently, I have a sofa now that I can not use, waisting handred of dollars and Groupon that does not care for customer support/ help.
Just wanted to share my story and help further customer by letting now what is happening, if you receive bad goods from Groupon. Do not expect anything.
I had great experiences UNTIL I bought a weekend getaway. The hotel resort was not able to book any accommodations and the voucher expired. After contacting Groupon (7 times by email and lastly by phone) for a credit for the full amount... as it was not our fault... they have told us that they can only give a partial refund because all deals are subject to availability. So the $$$ I spent for this weekend getaway has gone straight into their pocket. Now that is a scam! Hundreds of dollars gone! Never again. And they don't give a damn about customer service or retention!
Purchased a steamer from these people and it arrived within days. Was very pleased with the price and quality of my item. About half the price that I would be expected to pay anywhere else. Great experience and highly recommended:-)
We've used this three times everything each time was a disaster. From the difficulty of redeeming the coupon to poor assistance from the company to extremely slow service and redemption to not being able to use a coupon at all... Grouping buying sounds good at face value but is a headache to the consumer in the end... Buy from a normal shop. Online or otherwise. Search for the best price. You'll get want u want faster and for about as cheap and you won't spend weeks-months regretting using groupon
I recently bought 20 coupons for a service. When the vendor accepted only one, I requested refund of the remainder. Groupon refunded 7, but cancelled 9. No amount of explaining by phone, chat or email made a difference. They kept apologising but insisted that all had been refunded.
Paid for an item 16 days ago, haven't received it. Got in contact with the unheard of delivery service that my package was sent via and they are incredibly unprofessional. The emails i have gotten from them seem like they were written by a 10 year old. Then they said they sent my package through australian post but will not give me a tracking number nor item number. Groupon won't give me a refund as it has 'already been sent'. After a certain amount of time if i still haven't received it then they will give me a groupon refund to spend on their website which i don't want! Last year i paid for a spa package then called up to make an appointment to which the woman replied angrily that their business has been used as a scam on groupon, they are still advertising the same business on their website to this day! It really pisses me off.
Most purchases from groupon have been successful, but very disappointed that they still deal with Nelias beauty saloon in perth. There are so many bad reports about this business regarding services not being delivered. So disappointing that groupon does not vet the businesses it advertises
Fully disappointed with this website! I ordered 2 products 7 weeks ago, only just received one of them about a week ago after I emailed in to complain. The product i had received a week ago was such a let down! For $49 I got an 'oversized blazer with one size fits all' fail to mention you must be a size 10 or less! Had no lining so you saw stitches and no brand tag on it to say where it is from or how to look after it! It was also sent with NO receipt! Now I'm still waiting for my macbook cover i doubt Ill see it, save yourself the hassle and DO NOT order anything off them.
Had a particularly bad experience today with their first aid course offer using Edway training in Sydney. Edway refused to let me do the course even though I had travelled to the city to do it. Ringing their manager just led to a stupid comment that I should send in a written complaint! Apparently they attach a workbook to one of their emails (not on their site which is where I and others would naturally look for it). I offered to do it and bring in the next day but this was imperiously not allowed. Avoid Edway Training like the plague, their arrogance is disgusting.
As you can see on many internet forums, Groupon wash their hands of complaints like this, so they also have gone down in my estimation since this morning. These sites should be made to answer complaints satisfactorily and to follow normal refund and complaint policies like other businesses.
