We took the shuttle bus from Heathrow to the rental location. This was a bit confusing as the bus went at different times than expected and the hire company name had changed. Hopefully that is now sorted out.
The collection was slow as a customer ahead of us wasn't prepared for their rental. However another staff member arrived and dealt with us promptly and courteously.
The car was clean and a better model than expected. Leaving the Heathrow area was ok as the signage was fairly clear.
Drop off was very easy. We took a taxi back to the airport.

I got an earlier flight & called for a pick up at the airport. I was informed as I was so early I would have to pay an extra £50. I agreed as I wanted to get going I'd been traveling since 2am! When I got to the office the lovely young woman said as the car was there & waiting I didn't need to pay the early fee. I was so pleased & got on my way in no time after the paperwork was completed. The car had a full tank so I was off. I used the car every day & it was fine. On return the hand over was smooth the inspection went well & I was taken back to the terminal. I will definitely use GreenMotion again on my next trip to Glasgow.

I still have to mention one thing: When I booked it said that the car would have a full tank of petrol. But it wasn't. You have to return the car with the same tank level. But not everyone can judge that well at the petrol pump.
Nevertheless, I can definitely recommend GreenMotion. The car was clean and the service was good.

Hiring a car from Greenmotion was a reasonable price and the procedure for pick up and drop off was efficient and quick. The free bus service from the airport was very good. We got the keys quickly despite arriving earlier than expected. We weren't pressured into taking out additional insurance although it was offered.

When receiving the car at the Newcastle upon Tyne branch. I was informed I would have to pay a £400 refundable deposit upon the return of the vehicle in good order. Upon return the paperwork was signed to say it was in good order. It has been over a month now and I was been in touch a couple of times with customer service to get the deposit paid back. This is unacceptable.

I can confirm that security deposits are automatically released by Green Motion on the last day of your rental after it has been established that the rental vehicle has been returned in the same condition as it was provided, and there are no further outstanding charges.
Please visit https://greenmotion.com/terms and select the country you rented from to see the deposit information which will advise the general timeframe that you can expect for the release of the deposit.
Whilst in most cases this is available again within 10 working days, unfortunately, this can take up to 30 days depending on the bank that you use. We suggest that you contact your bank as they may be able to speed this process up for you.
Green Motion's policy is to use pre-authorised transactions for our security deposits, which ring-fence the amount within your account, not charge it. This pre-authorised transaction will allow us to make charges if necessary at the end of the rental, but unless this occurs no money will leave your account. Due to the nature of this transaction, the release of these funds may not show on your bank statement as a separate transaction. If you believe that you have been charged your security deposit, please contact your bank and ask them to provide proof of the transaction as a charge on the first day of your rental so that we can look further into this for you.

Avoid this little companys at all cost, went you get there they hit you with hidden fees after hidden fee like the second charge for the insurance,toll fee, 150dls deposit they said they would give it back in couple days it took them like 7 days to get the deposit back

Answer: I have used them many times, always cheapest, always very new cars, always charming and helpful staff ( Stansted Airport). Every firm will try to get you to upgrade. Buy a 3rd party policy, and just say you have your own cover. Up to now I have never been scammed. I ALWAYS inspect the vehicle before. I drive off. I take photos and make sure I get it inspected and signed off by staff when I take it back.

Answer: I believe Green Motion are a perfectly fair and respectful company. I suspect you didn't read their Ts&Cs properly. The two customers being served while I was collecting my car had also not read/understood the conditions and were caught by surprise. The representative dealt with them firmly but fairly.
