Grammarly

I paid for premium and downloaded the chrome extension and the Office add-in. Both perform inconsistently. Sometimes they just stop underlining suggestions. Their support page pretty much says maybe try this or maybe try that. Nothing works. Then it will randomly work again. Sometimes one works and not the other...infuriating. Sometimes it injects spelling corrections into a different word and produces gibberish. For example I typed "between tha". Grammarly flagged the error, suggested "between the", which I accepted, but then changed the phrase to "betweeen tha". It's impossible to find help in their support system unless you enter an exact question that someone else has. While I'm typing this I'm trying to figure out how to get grammarly to start underling suggestions again! It says I have 510 issues but keeps them a secret as to where they are!

Grammarly as marketing is an online spelling and grammar checking tool; I have utilized it on several occasions for writing school papers and creating or revising resumes. Not only does it provide word suggestions, it also corrects punctuation errors, while it integrates itself on many websites to include social media such as Facebook, there are still some websites and apps it cannot be integrated onto, however, copying and pasting content is an easy solution. It also has an advanced feature that you have to pay for a member upgrade in order to access, but I do not find it necessary you really want to set your personal bar very high in writing. I am very pleased with this website and application so far and do hope they continue to evolve it as it's a reletively new online tool available to internet users.

I actually have come to love Grammarly. As a writing instructor, when I first saw the commercials, I though, "Oh, great. Another spell-checker." However, my institution has an account, and I grew to rely on it as a busy writer. It is very easy to make little typos when shooting off hundreds of emails per day, so using Grammarly comes in very handy and saves me time. In addition, the support team was nice enough to refund my Premium subscription 24 hours after I accidentally bought it (I didn't know my school already had an account with them). If my school no longer wishes to use the premium, I will go ahead and purchase the product at that time. I can use it across platforms: in Word, Google Docs (Beta) and my phone.

I got this to help me write better for schoo. Sure it helped me with spelling, but google docs would do that normally. I could barely do anything and was always spam emailed constantly being asked to sign up and spend tonnes of money. I am a student. I do not have hundreds of dollars to spend each year.

The support team were nice overall, but my general opinion has stayed unchanged. I unfortunately cannot pay the amount that is required, and I hope that Grammarly upgrades their free services soon, or release a cheaper student version.

I design several newsletters and general pieces of print work as I am an "old" typesetter. I can't count the number of double spaces and other odd Word-like things I have to import into my InDesign files. I know there are search/replace functions in both Word and InDesign, but Grammarly finds these and the ever-present spelling and grammar errors. It actually turns my client's crap (that's a nice word!) into shine-ola! It runs smoothly on my iMac M1 and also my late-2012. Absolutely no hang-ups at all. This is the best extension ever and I am so happy I use it. A wonderful program that I can't speak highly enough about! Thank you!

I have Grammarly installed across my Apple, Android, Chromebook and Microsoft surface. The tool seamlessly integrated into all my applications, from text messages, word documents to web forms. It provides excellent grammar and spelling checking and its premium suggestions are amazing. It helped me get ahead in my workplace and reduces my stress levels of simple mistakes I used to make. Id like to try full premium at some point and see how much further Grammarly can take me :)

The worst.

Save your money people. Customer service is non existent. Even though I have premium service, I continue to get emails telling me I should upgrade to premium. Absolutely absurd.

The corrections when using the product are usually wrong. It's hit or miss as to the quality. If you're using Grammarly, you better check every word and context or you'll end up embarrassed for the quality of work.

This company is as bad as Zuckerberg when it comes to stealing your private information. They save all your text messages, including those written long before you ever subscribed to Grammarly. They claim they are using them to make the product better. Nonsense. Why do they need my text messages? With full sentences and possibly very private information? Don't trust these corrupt thieves. Cheats and liars.

I've used this for two term papers and would've gotten perfect scores it wasn't for the grammar. My teacher found 8 fragments in one of the papers, she was appalled. If I would've just read them myself and used my own judgment I would've done much better. Instead, I trusted an app I paid 60 dollars for, never again. P. S I never write bad reviews but this app was released far too soon when it should've been worked on more, and I don't want anyone's grades to be affected like mine were, or feel like a fool like I did.

The premium version of Grammarly was so helpful to eradicate grammatical errors and improve technical writing for my master's thesis. Grammarly changed my life! It took my writing skills to the next level. I would say one should definitely take the premium version at least for a month once in a lifetime. I learnt a lot and now I can easily rectify all the grammatical errors and focus on proper sentence structures with no help.

I thought I will try the pro version after trying the free add on. It was advertised that I can do 14 day trial. To my suprise they took the money straight away and not as a normal company would do after 14 days. I thought I will give it a go anyway. The difference between pro and free is... none. Unless my writing skills are so good I don't need it there was no difference between the two. The critical issues showing in free version simply disappeared in pro - even on the same unchanged text... When I approached them for a refund and explanation I got ignored. Do not waste your money, Word will do the same job.

Grammarly Premium is incredibly easy to use and the most powerful online grammar checker out there. I feel confident now when I submit emails and letters to coworkers and clients. I would recommend this product to anyone in school or anyone who writes for their career.

Support: Grammarly's support team is outstanding! I contacted their team with an account issue and worked with Iris, who was very prompt and professional throughout the process. She's such an asset.
