If everything goes as planned GolfNow is 5 stars. If it rains bit the course is open you will get no refund. I have a ton of points but can't figure out how to use them. But overall I like GolfNow I personally have seen no problem with the company

No customer service. They charge your card if a tee time is already taken. Then you have to scramble to get connected with them

Booked a tee time on GolfNow and had to cancel due to COVID19. Cancelled more than 24 hours before my tee time and they wouldnt refund my money. After many phone calls they did give me promo codes for future bookings but only good for hot deals after 12 noon, thanks for nothing. TEEOFF.com much easier to work with on the customer service end.

Booked a course in Florida online with GolfNow. Received a confirmation that my card would immediately be charged $2.95 - which it was - and the balance of the fee paid at the club when I arrived. The course charged me the full price and GolfNow game me some vague explanation that it was not their responsibility.
Instead of booking through GolfNow I would recommend using them for research but book directly with the club and same a couple bucks.

I reserve three or four tee times a week... they advertise you can change or cancel before you play and just pay the fee... total BS I tried to change tee times less than an hour after booking only to be told I wasnt elgible and the response included points equalling discounts monday thru thursday... if you work they are giving you nothing cant play then... so a total Bull#$%^ experience save your time call the course directly

Booked Country Club of Hilton Head. Nice course and certainly worth playing.
But booking a foursome and trying to have each player pay individually was a nightmare. Course couldn't do it. Last year was simple and seamless but this year not worth the agrivation. Will probably not use in the future unless you go back to the previous system.

They change the VIP agreement in the middle of the year! When I signed up they told me I would receive 1 uncapped "Hotdeal", well I did the first 4 months. When I called and was on hold for 57 mins. They told me that deal has changed. WHAT?

I earned over 800 GolfNow points playing the same course in Palm Beach, Florida. I currently have 4 unused rewards totaling $40. It appears when GolfNow rolled out their new expensive reservation program they decided to change the rules on the use of their rewards, I assume to drive people to buy their new program. First they required non members could only use the rewards on their Hot deals. Then they added that the rewards could only be used Monday-Thursday. Further they required the rewards had to be used on Hot Deals after 12 noon. The course where I earned the 800 points does not have any Hot deals after noon. I complained and was told if I joined the VIP program and paid $197 I could use the reward dollars... what a surprise! GolfNow is owned by COMCAST... a word to the wise.

I inadvertently booked a tee time for the wrong day that happened to be a hot deal and cancelled it immediately before rebooking for the correct day. Their supposedly "clear" policy of hot deals being non-refundable was not as clear as they think it was so I ended up being charged for both rounds. Needless to say, I didn't get the support I was hoping to get and will not be using this app again. Thanks for having crappy customer service GolfNow. #DumbPolicy

You used to be able to call and speak with a helpful rep. Now everything is web based, and if you have problem- tough. You will not get a refund, your money is lost.

I find it so strange that you spend money on a Tee time- say at 12:00. Something happens so the course can't provide you with that Tee time. Now you have already paid for a round of golf, BUT the course will not move that time up to an open slot. They want you to pay again.

There is a reason golf has been slowly dying. GolfNow is adding to the problem.
I won't use them again, and takes away my desire to get out on the course.

Golfnow used to be a good place to get decent green fees. But they changed the site making it much more difficult to search and find particular courses. Their rewards system is a joke. You can only use the rewards by booking 3 days in advance when the prices are % 50 higher! Whoopeeee. You save nothing. Best to take your chances and book hours before the desired tee time when you can actually get good deals. Be very careful booking though to make absolutely sure of the day and time before you commit. Unlike some here I found customer service OK - got a refund when somehow I double booked - suspect I accidentally hit the book button twice. Also check the course website to see what their rates are as some have good senior rates - much lower than Golfnow quotes.

Booked a tee time at a resort in Asheville but unfortunately all rooms were sold out so we needed to cancel since the course was 4 hours away. Waited 20 minutes on the phone while they called the course to cancel and to top it off they would not refund my booking fee. Do they not realize there are exceptions to the rule. Will never book through them again.

As Golf Now grows a larger number of members the competition for tee times on the hot deals gets tougher. Most of the tee times are just before the rates would have gone down anyways so when you ad a booking few which in my area is up from $2 a round now $3.50 and the fact that they used to waive booking fees after 10 rounds you are paying for your own rewards with these fees and in fact are getting nothing for free. I booked the 1st year over 50 rounds and the second and 3rd year the fees were waived as customer loyalty program. This year I was down to 30 rounds and less likely to book with them much more this year. I play a lot as a single and am flexible to go last minute and in this area there are still some decent deals to be had. Golf now gets 100% of all money on the hot deals and some courses hate the golf now customers. They do not need to charge booking fees on hot deals it reeks of greed.

Make sure that you very carefully book the actual day that is posted. GolfNow has
A habit of listing one day, but once booked, the play is for another day. Then it
Is impossible to reach GolfNow for a full credit. The customer service is simply
Terrible. My credit card company did a full credit to my account. However, this
Was no thanks to GolfNow.

Don't ever book Hot deals unless you make sure the Date, Time, Place is correct and that all the players are going to be there. I booked a 4sumHot Deal on Thursday instead of Tuesday for a total of #169.96 That included A fee of $13.96. I called them Telling them i made a mistake! All they could say is sorry nothing we can do. They cancelled my tee time without my request and they couldn't get it back. That was another problem. So they gave me a Courtesy credit of $170 to be used on a "One time Hot Deal". I couldn't find the same price so, They kept $34 from my original booking and charged me a booking fee of $13.96 again! Really are they that hard UP! I will never ever book another Hot Deal!

Unable to contact customer service re phone. Waited an excessive length of time and then opted to have a call back. The call back rang once and was terminated. I went through this procedure several times with the same result. I am now trying to contact them again re promotion codes. I left a new call back number in hopes that this call will ring more than once before terminating. On the positive, I have had no problems with any of my bookings other than being shut out when entering a promo code which meant I had to start over with my booking. Customer service is sooooo important. My rating reflects my experience with this department.

I wrote a review critical of the menu choices available on a golfnow "package" deal, and Golfnow would not publish it, saying it was "inappropriate". Our foursome all felt that we were ripped off. I won't use Golfnow again. Another reason is inability to change reservations. I recently booked directly with a course in Palm Desert on what turned out to be a very windy day. The course gladly re-booked our foursome for the same time the next day. Try that with Golfnow!

Used Golf now for a tee time on Monday. Monday turned out to be rainy and cold as a front came through. Called the course and it was raining. Called Golf now and was told (after they called the course) that "the course isn't closed, no refund. But I can get a credit. Well wanted to play Thursday and went to book with the credit, it doesn't work! Called Golf now and back and forth, they said it works but when i forwarded the screen shot of the denial... no response. Never had this problem with Golf 18, won't use golf now anymore.

Tip for consumers:
Use Golf 18

Golfnow is struggling with transparency issues. I have been a member since it's inception and am now not sure if integrity of the golfnow team should be questioned. They are not qualifying Rewards/Special Promotions booked rounds until we contact them each time about their errors. This has occurred multiple times this year and is unnecessary and very time consuming. The fees paid are also not displayed after you book the tee times. Therefore, unless you print the credit card form you will no longer have a copy of what price you booked the rounds. Another disclaimer they added in Q&A states that you will no longer get waived online booking fees (10 booking per year waive fees)... unfortunately, several advertisements they have are misleading and state that you are booking rounds to get no booking fees. $2.49 per player per round booking fees along with the hassles dealing with lack of professional integrity is not what golf is about. You need to be very diligent tracking all charges and promos on this site unnecessarily.

Too many 9 hole offerings. Tired of wading thru your website to find 18 hole times and deals. You should provide a category in your selection process for one to pick either 9 or 18 hole offerings. Stop wasting my time on your campaign.

Good rates since courses give them free tee time for advertising the course but read the fine print. We booked a foursome and the day we were to play my back spased out. 3 of our group played. I called before the tee time and asked for a credit for 1 fee. No way they said. Then when our 3 some showed up they were stuck behind a tournament. They quit 5 hours and11. Holes into the round. Save yourself the trouble call the course direct and talk to the prospect. This outfit stins.

First, I have to admit, I play a lot of golf using GolfNow. I'd say every 4/5 rounds is booked through GolfNow and I haven't had any problems up to this point. However, I drove 150 miles round trip to play a course on a Saturday morning that I booked Friday night at about 9pm. I arrived for my tee time 45min early and the owner of the course told me GolfNow had made a mistake and my round needed to be cancelled, as he had a tournament that day. I of course gave him grief and he said, "I called GolfNow 45min ago and they assured me they would call you." We worked a few things out amongst ourselves and then I waited on the call from GolfNow.

Well, it did eventually come, but not until 23 minutes AFTER my original tee time. Better yet, the owner of the club called them AGAIN when the other two people in my group arrived and they explained the situation to those people. So, at 9:45, I talked to the owner of the course again and he said they would be calling me. He called them back and told them to call me immediately.

When I finally got the call, I expressed my disgust. I told the girl who I was talking to I wanted a credit to my account and she said she would talk to her manager. This happened twice as she said no and I demanded to speak to the manager. When I got the manager, he repeated what she said, and he assured me he called me "as soon as I found out the trouble with your tee time." I called his bluff and he ignored me and said corporate would call me and that is the best he could do. I said, when people say that, corporate never calls. He promised me they would.

Guess what? No call. I sent them an email explaining all of this. No response.

GolfNow is ridiculous and I will keep calling. I don't recommend it since there are other sites that work just as well.

We have been using golf now for a few years and have been mainly happy with their products. But, during the past few months, things have gone downhill. We booked a tee time for 4, used our reward for 3 and paid for the other. It cost $189. Later we found out that if booked directly with the course, the cost would have been $ 99., in fact the course usually charges only $ 149. What a ripoff. They have not acknowledged our e-mail. Also there reward program has now been changed and is giving people less for playing more. Golf now blames their reward people, which seems t be a different group. Pass the buck and do nothing. We are looking for a better alternative.

The course had two openings through Golf Now. I booked for the second. Went to course and they had no booking for me at either time. Yet, Golf Now took the money from my account and said through an email to me that there was no refund except for weather. A RIPOFF, for certain.

So I was booking a tee time, then right before I paid, I checked out this review site, and saw that some were complaining about showing up to the course, and there being an outing. I called the course I wanted to play, and sure enough, there was an outing. I really would have been irritated if I had paid, booked a tee time, showed up, and couldn't play. I called GolfNow, and let them know, and they said the course did not call to inform of an outing, so that is why they never removed it. I would use golf now to book a tee time, but I would certainly call the course for availability first. Also disappointed that when I went to check out, there were taxes and booking fees, so unless you are getting more than a 30% discount, GolfNow is not worth using.

Tip for consumers:
Call the course first to see if that time is really available before booking through GolfNow.

Booked 2 rounds on GolfNow for what was advertised as "SAVE 36%". Later found out the price to book through the course was the exact same.

Actually, it cost me MORE to book through Golf Now once their "fees" were added.
