I am going to formally file a complaint against Goettl Air Conditioning regarding an ongoing issue with the repair of our air conditioning unit.
Our air conditioning stopped working, and Goettl sent a technician late at night (around midnight) to assess the problem. The technician was able to get the unit temporarily running overnight but suspected that the motherboard was failing. We were told that an expedited order for the part would be placed and it should arrive within a few days.
However, over a week has passed with no resolution. We live in Arizona, where temperatures have reached 117 degrees, and we have had no reliable communication or updates unless we proactively contact them ourselves. Despite multiple follow-ups, we are given inconsistent information.
After days without updates, we requested portable air conditioning units ourselves due to the extreme heat and the fact that we have three large dogs. Last week, we were told the part had arrived and the repair would be done on Tuesday. Tuesday came and went without any technician or phone call. When we called again, we were told the part never arrived.
Now, it's Thursday and after several more calls, they are telling us the wrong part was ordered. We are now entering our second week without working air conditioning in extreme desert heat, with no clear timeline or proactive customer service.
This situation is unacceptable. We are extremely concerned for our health and safety and disappointed by the lack of urgency and transparency in how this is being handled.
Goetl was fantastic. They came to our home within just a few hours of calling immediately scheduled for a new ac unit. It was installed in just a short 6 to 7 hours and our home is cool and feels great. The technician Ardian was very kind and knowledgeable went out of his way to make sure we had cool air as quickly and efficiently as he could. And thank you to the staff at Goetl. Will definitely be coming back for your services and I'm telling all my friends and family what a great company you are
Horrible experience with an brand new HVAC system totaling over 20K. Nothing but problems. Installed in February and now broken. Reporting them everywhere, including the BBB. We are now looking into legal action.

BE WARY OF GOETTL AND THEIR TRAINED, FEARMONGERING AND UPSELLING TACTICS We had a Goettl technician come to our house for a free service to get me to return as a SADIE customer as I was in 2020. I have a 2005 gas pack heat pump that has been functioning normally but thought a free service would let me know critical operating information, motor amp draws, condenser and evaporator coil condition, capacitor condition etc. Well. As I was not home, he used his scare tactics training and first told my wife that the unit was low on coolant (R-22) and went on to tell her (Falsely) that R-22 was illegal and since it is low it cannot be recharged. FYI R-22 is only illegal to manufacture or import. Some AC companies have a stockpile of R-22 and the smart AC companies evacuate and save the R-22 from units being replaced. Not to mention the fact that DDX 20 and R438 A are compatible refrigerants for older R-22 units... So the saga continues when my wife told him that we had American Home Shield to replace it if it should fail... and again, his scare tactics came out and He said. Yeah but it will take them 3 weeks to get to your claim and longer to fix it and you will be too hot. He provided 6 quotes for parts to rebuild the old unit totaling over $9,000.00... just to rebuild it. He soon left and I called a reputable HVAC service contractor (D&H out of Tucson) for a second opinion. The technician that responded the next day checked out the system. Performed AMP draws on all motors, checked pressures and temperatures on the whole system, Checked the split temperatures, took off panels from the unit and checked the condition of evaporator coil and condenser coil, all electronic connections, fuse block, and checked the capacitor. The end result was the unit was functioning normally all AMP draws and temperatures and pressures were well within normal operating ranges... and we were NOT low on Refrigerant (R-22)
D&H was professional and informative, and I will be using them from now on. No Goettl for me... they can stick their REJUVINATION where the sun don't shine
Met this company at the 2024 Las Vegas spring home show and they talked me into coming to my home to complete a "rejuvenation" of my HVAC unit. They were scheduled to come out on Tuesday, April 9th between 9 and 1. At 2:30 I received a call that they weren't going to be able to make it and ask to reschedule. We agreed on first thing Friday, April 12th between 8 and 9 so that I would be the first on their schedule. At 8:36 I received a text, NO CALL, stating that they were experiencing complications and had an influx of calls and that I would need to call their office to reschedule. I will never be using Goettl since this is obviously the way they treat their customers.
Had a backup on Saturday in March. They come out run a snake and then a camera 500+. Tell me they need to jet the line the clog is still there. Shows a picture from the camera. Jetting cost 2K. I ask about a clean out they quote 3500. Which is high. He said where they would put the clean out.
Call my regular plumber on Monday. He quotes me 750 to put a clean out. I just need to find the sewer line. Call a company to come out and find the sewer line. Guy from the company tells me he ran the the camera the entire length and there was nothing in my line. I had a clean out in the exact same area the plumber from Goettl said he was going to put it. It was about a foot down and it was buried. So now my regular plumber will come out. Dig that out. Extend the neck of the clean out.
I am glad I went with my gut and told them I was going to check around. Then he warned me the clog was there and not to do laundry or run the dishwasher.

Do NOT use Goettl. They charged me $34,000 for a new roof AC & ductwork in June 2023. CA law requires HERS testing of ductwork - Goettl failed twice. Los Angeles requires LADBS inspection - Goettl failed and now wants me to allow them to do roof work that will void the warranty for my new roof, because they say the AC unit needs a guardrail installed on the roof. They also have not provided me with an itemized invoice, and they refuse to explain why they cannot send one.
Tamara came to our house at the end of her long shift and cleared a clog in our dishwasher that had the kitchen flooded right before family coming for the holidays. We are very grateful to her. She deserves a big raise from Goettl!
My yard guys found a small crack in our sprinkler line. They dug it up and I called Goettl to replace 15" of PVC that was already exposed. See attached photos. The guys came out and filled the hole with water and the told me it would be $660 to replace les than two feet of PVC pipe!
I refused that outrageous amount for 30

We made an appt had to wait days with an AC not working properly. Called in morning of appt and told all good. Waited for tech never came. Called in again said appt was moved three hours later due to Technicians running behind. Agency stayed they have this issue all
The time. Refused to send me to a manger. Agent was rude, condescending and had no intention on helping. This call was after I waited on hold, was sent to agent and could hear all the conversations going on in the background and no one would answer, so I hung up and called back. Their customer service is non-existent. Would never even think of calling this company again. Their motto they do things the right way not the easy way should be they don't honor their appointments or their clients. Glad we found out before buying from them.

The two guys who came to unclog my bathroom sink. 1 of them who did all the talking had a very bad attitude and after waiting 10 minutes for an estimate he wanted $326 to unclog the bathroom sink. 18 months ago I used this same company and they charged me $80 for unclogging the same bathroom sink. This guy tried to rip me off. Had to tell them both to get off my property. Also reporting them to BBB. If you want to get ripped off then go ahead and use them.
Just FYI - I paid 1100.00 for an A/C capacitor from Goettl. Too late did I look for the part cost online, which averaged around 300.00 plus install, around 170.00. My bad I did not look up the cost of a capacitor myself online. I am sure there may be circumstances that affect cost, such as the age of my unit (20 years). I think double the average cost, is cost enough for me to post the info online and hopefully save someone else the trouble.
After installation of new rooftop Trane unit & new thermostat yesterday 8/7 everything stopped working in the middle of the night. Breakers did NOT trip, the issue is the new thermostat. We can't get the AC to turn on. The homeowner called several times this morning & was told a tech would come by to check the thermostat. Now@ 4:45pm, no tech no nothing & the internal temp is now showing 90 degrees & our dog is under stress now. We were told that dispatch sent the tech to an installation instead of coming here for a 5min or less job. Pretty shabby "customer service" Goettl. Not gonna help your referrals from us at all.
I made an appointment to get my air conditioner serviced over 2 months ago for August 1st. Today I get a call saying they are moving my appointment to the end of August. I pay them monthly for their service plan for what. I canceled my subscription and appointment. I'll never use them again for anything. Horrible customer service.
My a/c wasn't so I called them to come out, the technician said I was low on freon, I said how can that be this system is only a few years old, her answer was maybe a leak, so she filled it back up but said she didn't find a leak so I said where did it go? She said it just happens, I didn't accept that as a good answer but it was damn hot outside so I said fill it back up, I was charged 350.00 for 3 pounds of freon, 6 weeks later the same problem so this time I called a mom and pop place and the guy came out and found the leak in 2 minutes, it was a lose fitting by where the freon goes in, I said how could the Goettl tech not find that? He said it's an old trick to get called back out for another service call and charge you more money, so he tighten the lose fitting put freon back in it and it only cost me 150.00
I was impressed with the speed and availability of the Goettl crew. I contacted them on July 1st, and they installed new system on July 2nd. Crew leader Nacho and his crew of Brian and Jerome worked in 110 degree heat to keep me cooled. Outstanding job by all and all showed a great attitude about their work.
They rope you into that yearly contract you make the appointments and then they cancel them one by one stating big emergency. Can you call to make a follow up appointment and it's not for months it's all just a rouge. Parker brothers is the way to go.
Answer: We bought a service agreement and never had to buy anything. They do bi-annual service checks that are covered per the agreement, we paid nothing. I have never had problem with them.
