It is nice that there are cheaper phones and the customer service is okay. However, it would be much better if customer service had a phone line and or replied to emails quicker. Also, many orders get cancelled and that needs to be fixed. Overall, glyde is still a good website to buy products.
I heard about Glyde on one of my morning tech bite reviews. I had an I phone to sell. I went to the website and found it very easy and self explanatory. The shipping was fantastic. The kit came with everything including the shipping liable. I strongly recommend Glyde for electronic sales and purchase
Although it took five days before my package was mailed out (Ipad), it was essentially a really good deal, and the Ipad was in excellent condition as they said it would be. Despite the delay in shipping, I would definitely buy from Glyde again..
I ordered a phone. I knew the process would be slow, but it was a great deal. The phone came with a sim card still in place, and the phone was locked by the previous owner. When I search for customer service, I found no number and sent an email that I was told could take up to 48 hours to respond to. Terrible customer service.
Hi Charles. Thanks for the feedback here. This is Brian from Glyde's customer service team. I am very sorry to hear about the locked device. We can often get this cleared with the seller to prevent a return. Please email us at service@glyde.com or reply here with the order number. We can often address the issue sooner that 48 hours via email. Thanks again.
So easy and got the most for an old iPhone. I compared the payout from each website, including my cell phone company and Glyde hands down gave me the most money and it was so simple. They did exactly what they said they would, no hassle, and I got the money in less than a week.
Had no trouble selling my iphone 5s on Glyde. Just make sure you watch for the email notification of the sale -- the first one went into my spam box and I didn't see it, so the sale was voided. Second one was a success. Wiped my phone clean of anything stored there, put it in the convenient packaging, and mailed it. Got the check on schedule. Would do it again.
What a great way to sell devices and phones no longer being used. I am so glad I found this site. I sold 2 iPhone 4s and an iPod touch in less than 2 weeks, and I sold then for a lot more than I could have gotten selling them locally.
Thank you Glyde! I will buy/sell again.
I originally used Glyde to buy a used iPad mini and iPhone 4. I had no problems with them. Then I decided to upgrade and buy an iPhone 5. This is where the problems started. The good condition had a phone without a working headphone jack. I was offered a $20 discount, but it would cost $80 to fix, so I returned it. Hoping to get a better phone I upped the category and paid the extra for excellent condition. Guess what? The second phone I received didn't hold a charge. Boo. Good bye.
I signed up with Glyde months ago and have been watching for the right iPad at the right price. When I found it, I chose the buyer button. I filled out all the requested info and credit card info. Almost immediately I received a confirmation number and email to confirm my purchase and expected arrival date. The next day they sent me an email saying they needed more info but it sat in my inbox for one day. I then responded within 24 hours, but by then they suspended my account and cancelled my order! All my time searching was wasted! Why didn't they get all the info they needed when I was checking out? Poor customer service! Their email had no customer service contact number to resolve the issue. I have responded to there email with all the requested info and asked them for a return call to discuss the matter. (crickets) No return call as of yet? Currently, I wouldn't buy toilet paper from them to wipe my a$$.
I attempted to purchase a phone via glyde.com and was told my account was suspended and order cancelled. I unfortunately referred a friend because I was so excited about this service and his account was suspended and order cancelled, When he asked why, he was told a third party service did the validation and they were so sorry to disappoint. End of story... no resolution or attempts made to validate account
This business appears to be in the business of collecting credit card numbers to sell. I cannot understand the logic here.
The first time I sold a phone on Glyde it was easy and straightforward. But my second time was disappointing. I tried to accurately describe the phone given the options but the buyer wrote that I had falsely described the phone. The price then dropped $ 50.00. In the future it would be helpful to have more options to describe the phone so buyers know exactly what they're getting and the seller doesn't end up losing money.
Ruined about four of my days. I had the same experience as many others about these guys not being able to process my credit cards. Got several e-mails saying my purchase was complete, then it was not complete, then my account was on hold. No phone number to call.
I listed my phone on Glyde and it sold rather quickly. After sending the phone to the buyer, I received an email that the buyer wanted to return my phone. Fine.
The problem is, that was about 3 weeks ago and I still have not received my phone back. There is no phone number, and customer service only operates via email (how is that even possible).
I would advise NOT using this company and go with a more legitimate company such as EBAY.
Between me, my father and sister we have bought three phones, all phones were bad. Beware. My dad ( his phone arrived completely smashed) and sister (my sisters was marked as stolen with the phone company) were able to return theirs, and I was told my date for deciding would be extended since it arrived earlier than it was supposed to and my sim card was still in the mail, but then when I went to reject the phone it did not let me return it. Very frustrating
I have been a loyal glyde customer for a year now, every transaction and selling of my old phones went well until recently when I ordered an iPhone 6s Plus certified and it still hasn't came. I am disappointed and I will never use it again
Hi Rodger. Thanks for contacting us here and I am so sorry about this delay. Can you tell me the order number here? We can check on the status of the order and urge the seller to ship ASAP. Although shipping times can vary on Glyde from 8-10 business days, we hope that by matching you directly to an individual seller, we maximize the deal you can get. Thanks again.
I purchased an iphone from Glyde in May of 2019. It was a good price and when the phone was received it was in great shape. What got me interested to buy from them was the buy back program they offered. I have contacted them two times, once on May 6 and again on May 26 trying to get an answer to a question and the buy back program. There immediate auto reply states that, "Your business is important to us and we will get back to you soon". I don't think this is true. I don't think they will ever reply by the looks of my situation and reading the reviews on this site. I would say, "Buyer Beware"!
I purchased an HTC One on Glyde that was listed as excellent condition. I was given an estimated arrival date and was told that I would have 48 hours to review the device. Unfortunately I was scheduled to be out of town the day the phone arrived. I contacted customer support and they were glad to work with me and allowed me to review the phone when I got back in town. Upon receiving the phone, I noticed that it was not in excellent condition, but could have passed for good due to numerous scratches and dents. I informed customer support and they contacted the seller to try and adjust to price to the value for a good phone. The seller did not budge (I didn't expect him to if he already lied about the condition) so they gave me a small credit for my inconvenience.
The customer service team is amazing, I just wish there was a way to review the phone prior to purchasing it or to have an outside party verify the condition.
Glyde has some very good offers for their phones and that makes it the best phone shop that I have come across online. I decided to give it a shot after my friend suggested it to me and I am glad to know what I made the right decision because I was able to get a good phone from them and that is what really matters.
It's a pretty good way to make a buck in comparison to trading games in at gamestop. Really the only disappointing parts about it are the shipping time it takes for them to get the packaging to you, and also that a lot of the time some games won't be purchasable or sellable. I'm talking AAA titles too, not just random indie games or cheap crappy games.
I was told that my phone came with a 14 day return policy and it has been three weeks since the phone was sent back. I still have not received my money back and believe this company to be a scam. Would not recommend to anyone.
Answer: Glyde is a great companyi did have a bad experence with a purchase but glyde sent out a return label on them and i was credited really quick. When dealing with companies on the internet i use my amazon or my paypal so that way its not hlding up my personal account. At any rate my issue was the person that sold me the phone had sent me a phone that was originally a sprint phone but flashed to cricket carrier when i tried to switch it to sprint they werent able to program the phone and i was already a customer only they couldnt figure out why. When we were programming the phone it showed the name cricket as we completed a reset of the system. So most people these days they jailbreak phones or flash maybe another work at any rate your covered regardless but i would recommend
Glyde has a rating of 3.3 stars from 922 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with Glyde most frequently mention great experience, video games and shipping box. Glyde ranks 3rd among Mobile Phones sites.
Hi Linda. I am so sorry about this delay. Can you tell me the order number here or the full name on your Glyde account? I will see what is causing the delay and email the seller to urge them to ship ASAP.
Thanks,
Brian
