Scam?
October 11, 2021

My experience is that GI a scam. They've taken my money twice and never delivered anything. I get no response from their customer service dept. by email and they hang up on me before anyone talks to me. The uploaded receipt shows delivery by 9/15/21 but it was also promised by 8/25,9/4,10/1,10/7. It's not coming and I get no response by email, phone or chat to credit me.

Ordered paper towels. Product description --quantity included in order-- was completely misleading. Given that we received a much lower quantity than what we thought we had ordered, the product turned out to be very very expensive. Next best thing after highway robbery. Stay away!

I purchased a dehumidifier for $750 18 months ago. The dehumidifier worked well for 15 months. When it stopped working, i called customer support for suggestions on where to repair it. It was 3 months out of warranty — ‘check the internet.' No-one carries the pairs for the obscure Chinese manufacturer. So i have an expensive, non-operating unit i cant fix. I wont purchase from them again. They sell Chinese garbage and cant support their products.

Ordered 4 anti-vandalism garbage cans for our commercial building. Missing the anti-vandalism wire connecting the lid (as shown in the picture & video). Try to find out what happened w/both Sales & Customer Service@ Global Industrial & you just get the run around & non-answers. Weird way to conduct business for a company based in NY?!

WORST COMPANY EVER

This company sucks. The manufacturer sucks. Don't waste your time or money on them. Their return policy hurts customers. They will say that they can accept your return but will wait a month and a half to reach out to you to say they can't accept the product without original packaging. That is pathetic. We are out $400+ because we don't have the original box. The customer service reps are THE WORST. SO RUDE. One hung up on me. DO NOT WASTE your money! You will regret it! This product was ok but was too big for the area we needed. It was never used and they still won't accept the product back. I would give them 0 stars if I could. We are even considering taking this company to court. The communication is nonexistent and they will just be mean to you because you want to return their product. Absolutely terrible experience.

This is the worst business I have ever encountered. I ordered two 3-tiered shelving units for almost $200 including an absurd $53 shipping for UPS ground and I ended up getting two shelves that attach to nothing. The picture mislead me to believe it was a 3-tiered shelving unit taller than a man and it was two small shelves with nothing to support them. Absolutely useless. When I tried to return it they wanted to charge me another $53 to ship it back. So in total a $106 waste of money for literally nothing at all.

Told me prior to placing the order to send my sales tax exemption, then said to place the order and they would credit me back the sales tax. Days and days of run-around and one department not knowing what the others are doing. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Still don't have a credit and had to file a dispute. You don't even get an answer. Totally incompetent people working here and when they email they don't list their name or who to contact. Wish I'd of seen these reviews prior to ordering. You can't cancel an order because they don't respond!

Just ordered storage bins with no issues

I was concerned with all of the negative reviews, but just ordered a case of Akro-Mils storage bins with no issues. Fast, efficient and good communications. The price was significantly less than the competition but do be sure to figure in the shipping which can be quite high.

No customer service!

Tried to do first order for wire storage racks and customer service is non existent. I had problems with on line order. No one called back or responded to emails.
I finally gave up. Prices seemed fair in my case, but they don't care about the customer.
Avoid this vendor. Go elsewhere... not worth any savings. Much wasted time.

I ordered 6 leather midback conference room chairs and found identical chairs some $400+ cheaper at Houzz. I emailed Global and asked for some concession or price match. Heard nothing for over two weeks (in spite of additional emails).
Another email triggered a succinct, "We don't do price matches."
Suggest anyone keeps this firmly in mind before buying from Global Industrial.
Not recommended.

Watch out for 15% restocking fees on returns and no prepaid return shipping. If you get half your money back, consider yourself lucky. This company does not manufacture anything. They are a wholesaler. This means that they have to reach out to either another company or the manufacturer to issue returns. I even had to wait for a week for an RMA # (an authorization to be able to return a product). The wind usually blows in their favor as it is apparent that customer service is a void at Global Industrial. You would have better luck buying rice from china, than getting this company to do what other companies do naturally. :)

I purchased a new refrigerator for a tenant situation with supposed delivery up the stairs for an additional $400. A broken refrigerator was delivered by an old man who could barely get it off the truck.

After 3 months of repeated calls and emails I have been stonewalled by these thieves who will not replace, repair or refund their defective merchandise.

$300 for next day shipping on 7/11/22. As of 7/15/22, one day later than product was needed, the updated order status is "estimated" to be delivered 7/27/22. They literally choose NOT to provide tracking information (wonder why...), and if you feel the need to talk to customer service due to their inability to handle shipping in a timely manner, you can call the customer service phone number, and learn that ALL of their support team are "in training to better serve their customers". Every single time you call. Every day. There is no way to contact them minus the chat bot, which we all know how helpful that is. Bottom line, they are the epitome of how terrible customer service has become, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY.

I ordered a hand dryer from global industrial and they all work perfectly. Relatively cheap compared to what my contractor wanted to charge me. I recommend buying from them and then letting your contractor install for you.

I purchased an item from this company and didn't even remove it from the box when I realized it was not going to hook up correctly to my wall. I called to get a return and they are taking a 50% restocking fee and that is in addition to me having to pay my own shipping. Do not purchase from this company. I will be posting this all over Facebook

Horrible customer service. The tracking information on their website has not been updated for my order in two weeks. I was told Friday that it would be delivered that day and that I needed to wait until 7:30 pm for it to arrive. On a Friday. It didn't show. Then I was told it would be delivered Monday. It didn't show. I received a call on Monday from someone from their customer service team asking for more info about how I typically order. I asked if she would like to hear how my experience was. She said not really. They do not care about customers or their experience in the slightest. Stay. Away.

"I ordered a Workbench and accompanying Upright kit (add shelves, etc). They were shipped separately. The upright kit was totally damaged, unusable. I could not believe how they packaged it. I was basically a couple of boxes end to end taped together. Not sure who is managing this effort, but it was pretty bad packaging. No way was it going to survive. The bench never arrived. I paid extra to get notified of the delivery day and time so I could have someone assigned to receive it. Finally cancelled it. Not sure if this is normal or an aberration. I had very bad experiences asking questions of their support team when picking out the products, so I'm guessing that this is more normal. I was warned by others not to order from these guys, but I did anyway. Oh well live and learn. I sure hope they refund my money."

Update: To be fair to Globalindustrial, they refunded my entire purchase, acknowledging it was their bad.

We ordered lockers and were told they were in stock so we paid for the order. 2.5 weeks later 2 sets of the 36 lockers were delivered, no notification that there were back orders. Took 3 days to find out from customer service that they weren't in stock and would deliver "when the truck arrived"
Its now been almost 6 weeks and after leaving 5 messages and 3 emails am told it will be another week.
I would never from them again. EVER

This company is the WORST!
This company is the WORST! Stay away.!
My order took 3 weeks to arrive. I open the box and realized the item was to big. Trying to return it and called 4 times left 6 emails but customer service has to wait for Return service to reply! After a month and some days they send me the return information and gave me 15 DAYS to return. They wrote the return notice on December 17,2019 but did not send it to me till December 30,2019 there is no way I can ship this back in time unless I do one day shipping which I have to pay for! This place is a joke and a scam of a place! You were warned!

Ordered from them on 6/30/22, received estimated delivery for 7/12/22. On 7/13/22 looked for my order. Suddenly it says" Awaiting Shipment" So I have messaged them since chat no longer will load as a option, 2 days later they say " We will message manufacturer" REALLY?
So their tracking still says "awaiting shipment, estimated arrival 7/26/22 so we shall see...
