I was looking through different housing websites but few of them were trusted one. However, my experience with Global Housing Corp was more than great and as much as I expected on site. They were more than helpful and their suggestions were the right one. Actually, the whole process went so smoothly and fast. I had to choose among really nice options and quite competitive prices and I am really glad about the service.

$2500 in credits from shows that were postponed is totally gone. Their phone number is turned off. A new company Worldwide Exhibitions started receiving emails to Global Housing and owns their website, but says that they aren't the same. It's the same people, address and website, but a new name. It's all a scam. Book through the hotels which is much safer.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use this company to book hotels. Go straight to the hotels to book.

Products used:
I reserved hotel rooms, but when the shows were postponed, they said that they would keep my deposit as a credit. I lost almost $2500 in credits.

Please do NOT use any of their services!
This is completely useless, they just act if they could provide you very attractive prices for hotels near an exhibition (in our case) once you say yes and confirm the order they send you the invoice and ask for an advance payment. Before payment they are very helpful and always respond their phone!
Once payment is done, we tried to contact them many times but no response at all. After checking with the hotel booked we came to the conclusion it was FAKE and we were CHEATED!
Ps. If you want you can always contact me directly to inform you about this BULL)@&^#$*(% company. Find attached one of their invoices unfortunately paid by us:-( stupid me...

Tip for consumers:
DO NOT USE, IT'S SCAM!!!!

Cannot rate this company low enough - over 4 months chasing them for our refund of $3,900 USD for a booking that was made 6 months in advance which was then cancelled on us after we made final payment. Group turned up to hotel and were told there was no booking as it was cancelled. Over 40 emails with this company and the excuses and delay tactics to avoid paying the refund is just ridiculous. Head of Operations, Vito Conzalez and Office Manager, Lillya Miller just alternate between sending the excuses. Do not trust them to do the right thing - most unprofessional group!

SCAM - also operates as TGP HOUSING in the UK - this is 100% a scam - they call people listed as exhibitors on conference websites and claim they can offer discounted rates - completely false + their phone doesn't work

I was working for global housing, I worked as a sales rep, they are 100% scam, they let you get the deal in, and then you don`t know anything about your customer, they let a scam team from the back office handle their scams! They take the money from the customer and provide no service, when we try to call those customers back to get them to book again they tell us that they got scammed from the company! Chris Carter ( The owner) is an a**hole, he never refund anyone! He`s a scam artist! However his partner Scott is a good man but in a partnership with the wrong dude!
Chris doesn`t give a damn about customers or even his own employees! He use deductions for useless reasons! He loves to deduct his agents and tell them that he use the deductions to pay rent / electricity / ETC!
Stay away from Global Housing Corp and his sister companies (CBS- Corporate booking services) / Pro Housing LLC / TGP Marketing.

His scam managers are: Kevin / Patty / Sean / Lola / Terry.
Also Adam Berg is a big scammer. Stay away from those people please

So glad I read your reviews. I was contacted today by this company first representing they were with the trade show company and then when they got me on the phone they indicated they work directly with the hotel and can get us a better deal. I almost fell for it but decided to call the hotel and the management company of the trade show... both said they never heard of them and to stay away from this company. In reading your reviews you just confirmed our suspicions... I almost fell for it!

I think there was a confusion on what exactly was said. We do have better rate because we deal directly with suppliers that purchase directly from the hotel. So at the end there is no way the hotel reception will know what the upper management are selling or to who. Do it’s true if they said they never heard of us. As a matter of fact did you know that we are booking.com affiliate partner. So how on earth can we be a scam and have booking as our partner. Re think your opinion on this matter and we will be very happy to assist you. We proudly guarantee a better rate no matter what.

I worked for this company for 1 month while I was visiting Egypt. I figured why not make a little extra money while I'm out there. I first realized it was a shady company when they asked me to use a fake name when talking to customers and they claimed they were based out in New York but that's total bull$#*!! Every employee gets a script of what to say and they get paid next to nothing, and they don't work with no suppliers they just go on google and book you a room. I would never ever book with them if I was a manager of a company. Great way to get scammed outta ur money

We booked 6 months in advance for a trade show in Las Vegas. They charged us a deposit and even charged outr card for full amount last week for 3 rooms. We then received an email yesterday stating that our rooms were no longer available due to overbooking! They would not talk to us on phone and offered no viable solution via email. This cost my company over $1,400 since the trade show is in 2 weeks and rooms are hard to find now. We are considering legal action. This company should be shut down!

Sport for any inconvenience caused, I think we had made it clearer in the agreement signed that changed caused by the hotel or our suppliers we have no control of. This happens about twice a year and when that happens we do offer alternative unless the customer refuse and we can refund at this time.

All this company does is perform an online search to see who is exhibiting or sponsoring a conference based on the event website. They get a hold of the exhibiting companies' phone numbers, call to claim they are partnering with the event or organization and supposedly have a better deal on hotels. They are NOT affiliated with the event or organization and are simply scam artists. Do not fall for it. They call about once a month now which is clear on the caller ID. My new tactic? Pick up the phone and set it right back down on the receiver. Please quit wasting all of our time.

Thank you for the comments. Not affiliated with an organization does not mean fraud or scam. We simply have prices that is better than the organization and we help customer get those prices. And again we give offers and the decision is yours.

I wanted to share my experience with theSCAM company called Global Housing Services Corp! *******409 THE PEOPLE I SPOKE TO WAS PATTY and FRANK!, This happened 8 months ago when I tried to book for an event and I found an email from them in my inbox claiming that they`re the show housing company, we booked a block of 8 rooms with them, before we book, we asked on the phone if they`re the affiliated partner of the show! They said yes we`re the official loud and clear, then they said you can cancel totally for free up to 15 days and I asked couple of times if that`s okay if I need to cancel the entire reservation they said absolutely!
Then when we tried to cancel they told me I`ll have to pay 25% cancellation penalty! They were rude, after investigating this company with one of my friends who`s working for the FBI! It turns out that they`re operating from CAIRO, EGYPT! The owner`s name is Mohamed Shabaan and his brother Sameh is managing the company from overseas! His made up name is Chris Carter and he`s a 100% thug! He got kicked out from the states because of his thug life! He has a file in the states and he cannot get back in here EVER!

If that`s the owner, Imagine his employees! I filed a dispute and I attached all the evidence and I got my money back!

Be aware of those A**HOLES!, Chris is a big thief!
If I ever visited Egypt I will have to go by his place which is Alserag Mall, CAIRO, EGYPT
His Egyptian Cell phone number is: *******022.

Thank you for your review and we hope that your statements are true. After investigation on the process of the reservation and listening of the call we discovered that all that was mentioned above is incorrect. No one have ever mentioned any affiliation with the show. It seems that your FBI friend have gathered wrong information about GHS. Please note that the cancellation fee we requested was for a work we have done.

Last week I was contacted by Global Housing Corp (further as GHC). At first I didn't understand who they were or why they were calling me. The phone connection was quite bad. During our conversation the agent, Emma Smith (khem... can't the name be any more original?) stated that GHC are working together with the exhibition that we are about to exhibit. I thought, well, okay, because similar offers come from other exhibitions too, legit ones. The only difference is that those are sent by e-mail and nobody calls. Red flag #1. Then during the conversation I agree that they would send me an offer for me, after asking me what's the budget I've intended to spend. The first times I said that I didn't know, because it depends on the booking date, the distance from the city center, the hotel, etc. She kept pushing me for the budget, so I gave her that. We agreed that she would send me an offer and call me afterwards. Which she did. She sent the offer, I had a look at it and she called me. She asked me if I'd seen the offer, I said yes. She asked me what I thought of it. I said it's OK. She asked me if I'd book. I told her that it's way too soon for me to tell, because I look at hotels maybe 3 months prior to the exhibition. She told me that the offer's valid only this week for the "discounted" prices stated. She also said that this offer is for ME not her. Classic manipulative sales tactic. Aggressive too. Red flag #2 and #3. I went to Booking.com and checked hotel prices for the same dates. The prices were similar to the ones stated in the email also in other hotels. So, why order through them if I can get similar price through the trustworthy Booking.com? Red flag #4, I decided to google this company and I found this page. Finally, I decided to inform the exhibition about these scammers and they agreed that they're scammers and will work on informing other exhibitors. The end.

Attached pics of e-mail received from them.

Thank you for the comment but if you allow me to answer the comments. First, we do not work with any exhibitions. We have a better offer on all hotels and we call from that aspect. There is no way that the price on Booking.com is the same, what customer don't understand that the first price you see on booking is without taxes and fees. Also i want you to understand that sales tactics is to make the customer feel the product discussed is very important and the customer is in need for it. This is not GHS tactics, this is all sale tactics. The customer must know whats important for them and whats not. We never force any customer to pull out his or her credit card to give it to us, they have their own brain to think and make a wise decisions. Other than that i do not see where we a scam in this comment and have we delivered what we promised or not.

We have made a booking through them this year for Texprocess, they have called daily andd at the end, we closed the deal and paid the deposit.
They required full prep-payment. Once paid, we have received BOOKING CANCELLATION 2 days before the show due hotel low capacity!
It has been 2 months since then and still, they only promise to look at our case, they reply they are working on it, or they claim the hotel has not refund their money. And so they cannot refund to us!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY because your will LOSE YOUR MONEY!

I signed their documents WITHOUT credit card info, as this paperwork was only to "hold" a booking ( we were not reserving yet). I spoke to Adam, and everything he explained, was false. Later on, I provided CC info and I asked Adam to not charge it YET, as some additional costs were added, and I needed to talk to my boss first. Well, they charged it without waiting for my consent. I then cancelled and opened a dispute with my credit card company. I have told GHS to CANCEL everything because I will not do business with such company. They still have the reservation active, and they want to keep the deposit they charged, as a credit for future bookings. Are you kidding me? I will never, ever do business with this company. I do not need any sort of "credit for future bookings". This company is a nightmare. Please book directly with the Hotel and save yourself a lot of unwanted headaches.

Thumbnail of user chrisc217
Chris C. – Global Housing Corp Rep

Thank you for the above comment, i have looked over the case and i have discovered the following. You have reserved the hotel through us and than wanted to provide the card latter. We have reserved on a good faith and later the credit card was received. Once the card was received the system automatically charge the deposit. Later on we have discovered that after all this work that the customer wants to cancel and does not want to honor the signed agreement and pay the cancellation fee. And to earn more business in the future without the customer loosing any cancellation fee we offered to keep the amount charged as credit for next use and from that point on we never heard back from the customer unless through the credit card company. I apologize but we had an agreement and we will not do the all this work for nothing.

If i were you, i would look for another company cuz this is a true scam company...

They told me we wont charge your card until you give us green light, and then suddenly they charged me 600 USD as a deposit and this is the company credit card, so guess what...

I payed from my own pocket to my company!

Dont doom yourself with these terrorists.

Chris C. – Global Housing Corp Rep

I think this is a mistake because if you asked not to charge until you get another form of payment we do not mind, unless you are planning to not pay at all for reservation already made for you. After all I think you not really a customer you just a competitor just adding reviews to make us look bad as all previous reviews. The fact that you said the word terrorist prove that you are not a customer. So after all good luck because our business still on top between all others and that is for a reason. Lol try other ways TPS.

They mistakenly called my number, and I am the event director of the event they were saying they represent.

My colleague picked up my phone as I was not at my desk. She passed it on to me. I had the caller repeat that he was representing my brand and company, to make sure they neither my colleague or myself heard wrong.

As an international event organiser of B2B events, we never use the services of these types of organisations.

I was passed on to the manager and asked them to stop calling our exhibitors. They refused to stop calling on behalf of our organisation. That's their business model.

The manager also admitted that it is illegal to say you are calling on someone's else's behalf. Furthermore, that if this did happen on my call there would be consequences. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this happen and we know clients who have booked and not gotten their rooms plus lost money on this.

Thumbnail of user chrisc217
Chris C. – Global Housing Corp Rep

The issue here that you guys as a trade show organizers are ripping off your exhibitors by selling very expensive rooms while we can always beat your rate. Again customers are always happy with the rate provide and the service rendered. We have over 25000 customers and we must have some unhappy customers. We are not perfect but the total unhappy customers are less than 2% which is a great accomplishment for any business, please check the review on the world largest search engine in the world and you will be surprised to see all the bad reviews which does not make them a scam for the fact that have went to google to type sitejapper to write this review. Thank you again.

Don't expect the room you booked and paid for to be waiting for you when you arrive at your destination. Adam Green is the king of Fraud! Did you get an itinerary with an ASTA logo and member number on it? They are not members! Just copy and use the logo. Hucksters, con artists, scammers are all good descriptions. Book thru hotel block and not through Global Housing Corp of Astoria NY. Think about it... how did they get your phone number? Even show exhibitors can get access to the data these illegals have hacked in to! Avoid at all costs!

Thank you for your comment above but i believe the truth is not said because of the fact that you did not answer emails requesting balance as agreed forced us to cancel the room. So after all the room was booked as agreed but you failed to comply with our terms and conditions, and as far as the ASTA membership i don't know if you have searched correctly because the following is the link to our membership. Global Housing Corp booked my room with a "Shared Bathroom" (accessible in an outside hallway, like a college dorm) despite reassurances that the room would come with a private bathroom. They refused to refund the reservation money and tried to upcharge me to guarantee a private bathroom. Their contract makes no mention of a shared bathroom, which is absolutely not the standard for hotel bookings in the U.S. Had to go through the hassle of cancelling the charge via the bank and re-issuing the credit card to prevent them from re-billing the reservation.

Dear customer, thank you for the review. I think you should blame the hotel for the shared bathroom you mentioned because our company just book the hotel the customer pick. We send options and customers pick what they would like, we do not know if the room chosen has a private bath or shared how the hotel is designed. We just book rooms as picked and as showing in the hotel room list. We know this is frustrated but again it's not us that designed the way rooms are formed.

Don't deal with them! "You can make changes or cancel the rooms 15days prior to your check in date ". "Will I get my deposit back?", "Of course".
Bul$#*!! They don't pay it back! Now it means "This amount can be re-used ONLY but will NOT be refunded to the card holder". Never ever again!

Thumbnail of user chrisc217
Chris C. – Global Housing Corp Rep

Thank you very much for the review, but I think they are a misunderstanding because we can make changes 15 prior to check in date if available. As the contract stated changes may not be accepted by the suppliers. And at that point we will refund or change the reservation as you would like as we usually do when this happen. It's a small % that the changes will not be accepted. If the hotel is fully booked there is nothing we both can do. But on the refund level we do refund but if you cancel the entire reservation for no reason than we will keep the deposit for next use to ensure you will use us again rather than taking a cancellation fee and you will lose your money. Please contact us to review your case and solve it ASAP if you are correct. And again sorry for any inconvenience caused.
