Was anyone that was scammed by Global Housing Corp able to take action against them and rectify the situation? I am dealing with the same issue now and would like to know what steps if any you took to remedy the situation with them.
This company contacted me at a time when I was looking for accommodation for a trade show, saying that they were affiliated with the show. The rates and hotel were good, so I booked and paid a deposit. Then I heard nothing and did not receive the confirmation of the booking. After calling several times and waiting 20 mins, and not getting through, several emails later I got a response saying that they would send the final confirmation. Still nothing, and I am not paying them another penny. Going to contact VISA and see if I can get a refund. The hotel has no record of our booking. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

We have made a booking through them this year for Texprocess, they have called daily andd at the end, we closed the deal and paid the deposit.
They required full prep-payment. Once paid, we have received BOOKING CANCELLATION 2 days before the show due hotel low capacity!
It has been 2 months since then and still, they only promise to look at our case, they reply they are working on it, or they claim the hotel has not refund their money. And so they cannot refund to us!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY because your will LOSE YOUR MONEY!
I enjoyed my experience with global housing corp, good enough customer service when I wanted to change some details in my reservation they did it with no hassle as I was finding it weird for the first to go through some kind of a hotel reservation like that but everything went fine and I actually saved good enough money like what the sales representative said.
So I advice people to go through Global Housing Corp. I knew some people who had problems with their reservation with other companies and I know not all companies are clean and honest with what they say, but for now I went 3 times with Global Housing Corp and I had no problems with them.

Company calls DAILY about a Trade Show- they pretend that they are from the Trade Show directly, but when pushed for a company name, they will give it. When asked what the call is about they simply state "arrangements" or some otther generic answer. I have told at least 10 different foreign speaking individuals that we make our own reservations and to stop calling. The guy today kept talking over me and saying "yeah, yeah yeah."
These people are scammers (and yes Chris from Global- you ARE scammers!)
A LEGIT company would have their name on the Trade Shows webpage and a legit reference. A LEGIT company would remove you from the List when asked, a LEGIT company wouldn't try and hide who they are by pretending to be "with" or "part of" the Trade Show itself.
Stay away from this company! Hang up on them, put them on Hold until they hang up, or waste their time by asking a million questions, or put them into a voicemail no body ever checks... just STAY AWAY AND AVOID THEM

I received many phone calls for booking the hotels and i have many rates but global housing their rates were the lowest, first i thought they were scamming but when i received my hotel confirmation within the travel itinerary i found that they are really good company with a good service
No issues were there whatsoever, the prices that we had were really good, the service that we were promised with was completely fulfilled, and the only comment that I have is that I wish that in the future I will have a dedicated personnel to handle my company’s reservations throughout the year
This company is the worst I've dealt with, they went back on the price agreement and confirmed, refused to accept any conformations of emails, NO UK contact phone lines answered, when we did get through they cut you off, no response on any complaints

I was solicited by these people to get better rates for hotels. They blatantly lied about their services. Since Las Vegas was our goal, I am aware that there is usually a "resort fee" that is added to the hotel room charge. I specifically asked Global Housing Corp. if the Resort Fee and taxes were included in the hotel fee quoted. They lied and told us that ALL FEES were included. We were led to believe that we would receive a suite with a kitchen. Upon checking in, we were told that the hotel had no suites (they don't offer suites at all), and we received a regular hotel room with not even a microwave. Also, upon checking in, we were told that a resort fee of $22.37 would be added to each day of our stay. The hotel made it clear that was not optional. When I complained to Global Housing corp., they did not respond in any way. None of my calls were returned and none of my emails received a response. During my stay at the hotel, I spoke with several directors. After examining my paperwork with Global Housing Corp., they eventually took off the resort fees. Everything Global Housing Corp. had promised was a lie. They were happy to take the money and run. This company has NO ethics, whatsoever. I can't imagine they will be in business for long when they take no responsibility for their actions!
Thank you for the review but please note that everything we commit our selves to is on the agreement signed. We have to protect our effort for providing competitive rate. We can not provide service and book the entire reservation on your behalf and you cancel the reservation free of charge since we already pay fees for cancellation. If anyone says you can cancel without fees pleas let us know who so we can investigate ASAP. Other wise the comment mentioned on no cancellation fee 15 prior to check in date is correct as far as you not cancelling the entire reservation but modifying to a shorter term as explained in the agreement signed. Please let us know if we can be of any help top make up for the confusion
GLOBAL HOUSING CORP. of Astoria, New York misrepresented the property, made a booking, took the money ot of my account for an eleven night convention stay. When I arrived at hotel Rosen Inn at 9000 International Drive in Orlando, as stated on my written itinerary, I was told i was booked at a cheaper prperty a couple miles away. I figured i would go there for the night as it was 1am and when I get to the other hotel Rosen International a motel--not a hotel--had a paid booking for only three nights. S a professional conference and meeting planner I am shocked and appalled by the actions of Global Housing Corp. They seemed nice when they were out to deceive me. I will report in to my professional groups to avoid at all costs. Not trustworthy.

I had a great experience with them, its only one time but i love it, i was traveling dubai and they really got me a great deal in the room. Even better than booking.

Our contract with them indicated we could make changes up to 15 days prior - NOT THE CASE! - they then tried to put us in another hotel - the itinerary showed 2 rooms 2 nights - but the check in/out dates were for only one night - they told us we could add the other night after check in - I called the hotel - they were BOOKED - now they want to charge us a 25% cancellation fee since I had to secure our rooms with another hotel

I booked with these guys two months ago for a trade-show in Las Vegas and i am now in the trade-show everything is good the service was perfect and don't mention the very good rates that provides for every expo it's just Amazing i would book with them for a lifetime

I had a business trip and i received a call from global housing asking me to book through them. I was worry at first but it turn out to be a great experience and very competitive price.

Last week I was contacted by Global Housing Corp (further as GHC). At first I didn't understand who they were or why they were calling me. The phone connection was quite bad. During our conversation the agent, Emma Smith (khem... can't the name be any more original?) stated that GHC are working together with the exhibition that we are about to exhibit. I thought, well, okay, because similar offers come from other exhibitions too, legit ones. The only difference is that those are sent by e-mail and nobody calls. Red flag #1. Then during the conversation I agree that they would send me an offer for me, after asking me what's the budget I've intended to spend. The first times I said that I didn't know, because it depends on the booking date, the distance from the city center, the hotel, etc. She kept pushing me for the budget, so I gave her that. We agreed that she would send me an offer and call me afterwards. Which she did. She sent the offer, I had a look at it and she called me. She asked me if I'd seen the offer, I said yes. She asked me what I thought of it. I said it's OK. She asked me if I'd book. I told her that it's way too soon for me to tell, because I look at hotels maybe 3 months prior to the exhibition. She told me that the offer's valid only this week for the "discounted" prices stated. She also said that this offer is for ME not her. Classic manipulative sales tactic. Aggressive too. Red flag #2 and #3. I went to Booking.com and checked hotel prices for the same dates. The prices were similar to the ones stated in the email also in other hotels. So, why order through them if I can get similar price through the trustworthy Booking.com? Red flag #4, I decided to google this company and I found this page. Finally, I decided to inform the exhibition about these scammers and they agreed that they're scammers and will work on informing other exhibitors. The end.

Thank you for the comment but if you allow me to answer the comments. First, we do not work with any exhibitions. We have a better offer on all hotels and we call from that aspect. There is no way that the price on Booking.com is the same, what customer don't understand that the first price you see on booking is without taxes and fees. Also i want you to understand that sales tactics is to make the customer feel the product discussed is very important and the customer is in need for it. This is not GHS tactics, this is all sale tactics. The customer must know whats important for them and whats not. We never force any customer to pull out his or her credit card to give it to us, they have their own brain to think and make a wise decisions. Other than that i do not see where we a scam in this comment and have we delivered what we promised or not.
First i was worried about my first booking but when i checked in i was really happy for the stay and the hotel that they recommended. I will deal with this company for my next trip.

I wanted to share my experience with theSCAM company called Global Housing Services Corp! *******409 THE PEOPLE I SPOKE TO WAS PATTY and FRANK!, This happened 8 months ago when I tried to book for an event and I found an email from them in my inbox claiming that they`re the show housing company, we booked a block of 8 rooms with them, before we book, we asked on the phone if they`re the affiliated partner of the show! They said yes we`re the official loud and clear, then they said you can cancel totally for free up to 15 days and I asked couple of times if that`s okay if I need to cancel the entire reservation they said absolutely!
Then when we tried to cancel they told me I`ll have to pay 25% cancellation penalty! They were rude, after investigating this company with one of my friends who`s working for the FBI! It turns out that they`re operating from CAIRO, EGYPT! The owner`s name is Mohamed Shabaan and his brother Sameh is managing the company from overseas! His made up name is Chris Carter and he`s a 100% thug! He got kicked out from the states because of his thug life! He has a file in the states and he cannot get back in here EVER!
If that`s the owner, Imagine his employees! I filed a dispute and I attached all the evidence and I got my money back!
Be aware of those A**HOLES!, Chris is a big thief!

After investigation on the process of the reservation and listening of the call we discovered that all that was mentioned above is incorrect. No one have ever mentioned any affiliation with the show. It seems that your FBI friend have gathered wrong information about GHS. Please note that the cancellation fee we requested was for a work we have done.
I don't want to write a story as everything was simple from the call I received until I decided which hotel I want to stay at and they offered me a price I couldn't find any better than online, pre-booked it as they call it with a deposit and I recieved my vouchers reached my destination gave them the vouchers and done nothing more nothing less.

I found the hotel is A DAMN MOTEL 2 stars and its 1 mile away from the place ~!, and when i called them they gave me another number, i called the other number he told me i cant help you, i mean wtf!, THIS IS BULL$#*! I ALREADY SUED THEM AND FOUND OUT THAT THEY ARENT IN THE STATES!
