At $6 a year it's a bargain to have a backup site for those treasures you're bidding on. I've not lost a bid yet. One can give the free service a try and once you see how committed the site admin is by his attentiveness to his business, you'll enjoy a brilliant service as you bid practically worry free.
I have never had a problem with a snipe. I see where it shoots in two bids at the end. I pay the 6.00 they ask for there service but they don't charge. I don't like getting something for nothing and only 6.00 a year.
I used the free Gixen for a while, and was so impressed by how well I did buying on Ebay that I decided a few years ago to subscribe; for me it is well worth more than every penny. I work out the "sweet point" between where if I had paid more and won I would feel ripped off and if I had bid less and lost I wish I had bid more, I put in my Gixen and get on with the rest of my life. I find it particularly useful that I can group my potential bids so that if I want something that is on several auctions, I can Gixen all of them knowing that if I win one auction the subsequent bids will not be placed. Also that I can change my mind and simply withdraw my Gixen right up until a few seconds before the auction end.
I have been a big buyer on eBay since its inception, buying used equipment to refurbish and resell. Over a year ago I switched to Gixen for my eBay transactions, about 1,000 per year, and I have found it very reliable with good communication. I highly recommend the service.
I am a reseller, and have used Gixen for several years. I initally resisted the paying membership, but have found the advantages of the Gixen Mirror service (two servers, remote from each other, to deliver snipes) has been well worth the tiny investment to give dependable service in case one server has an impairment. Very happy with their service!
I have been a happy Gixen user for many years. It has a simple user interface that you can simply set and forget. Gixen does the rest. The owner of the site communicates directly with users, and is extremely helpful. You don't get that anywhere else online. A "must have" for online bidders. A+++
I have been using Gixen for almost a year. I find it to be a great sniping tool when bidding on ebay. I use it for every bid now. I import the watched items over to Gixen and place my bid. I never place a bid in ebay. My bids go in with 6 seconds to go and I win most of the items that I am bidding on. The cost is very reasonable as well. I will continue to use this service as long as it stays available. Never a problem with Gixen.
I am not paid or sponsored or receiving anything for this review. I got an email from Gixen asking me to review them. Normally I wouldnt bother but I really like Gixen's service. I've been using Gixen for many many years. They have been nothing but fantastic. I paste in my eBay auction number and most of the time I win the item as long as I had my max bid set high enough. The fact that Gixen only charges a few bucks a year is pretty sweet. I'd probably pay more. I've won quite a few auctions that I didn't expect to win and I fully know Gixen is why I won.
For years I used AuctionMagic, but since AM stopped being supported by it's developer and now no longer works, I searched for another service. I've been using Gixen now for several weeks, and it works flawlessly. Unlike my previous auction software, my computer doesn't have to be on for the snipe. On the downside, there is no (at least not yet) "Logic" that would allow a snipe to occur or not if a previous snipe was unsuccessful or was successful.
I love Gixen and use it all the time. It is free but I use Gixen Mirror to keep the site going.
Gixen allows you to bid on eBay in the last few seconds and that way you can give it your best shot without running up the bids. Also if you change your mind you can easily edit or remove your bid.
I've used Gixen for years now and never had a problem. I had a question once and Mario answered right away!
Used another sniping service but they ran into problems and I lost to many bids on eBay. So I searched and found Gixen. Switched over to Gixen and have been with them for over five years now. They are outstanding. After placing 1000's of bids I have not lost a single one since signing up due to a malfunction from Gixen. Twice a malfunction happened but it was eBay's fault. Gixen is a great sniping tool and they don't charge much at all. And the owner is very polite and answers your questions quickly. I rate Gixen with more than 5 stars if I could. I rarely recommend any company but I don't hesitate at all to recommend Gixen, they are just great (product and service).
Gixen has worked very well for me for many years. I not only subscribe to it but I also pay for use of the mirror site.it is a great eBay sniper and takes all of the emotion out of the process. I can set up my snide for three seconds before closing and it has worked very well for me. You simply set up the maximum you would ever pay for an auction and let Gixen do the work. I recommended completely
I've subscribed to Gixen services for several years now and have always had positive experiences. Gixen always bids exactly when I plan it and has never failed to submit a bid. It's simply a set-and-forget entry and has definitely increased my wins on bids. Perfect and completely trustworthy!
From reliability and ease of use, to the courtesy and dedication of the developer, Gixen is a fantastic tool for efficient and effective Ebay purchasing. While the service can be used at no cost, I subscribe to show my appreciation, and have been a user for several years.
For quite a few years now I have used Gixen as my only sniping service and it has never failed me. It is easy to use, the operator is very responsive to inquiries, and is continuously updating Gixen and keeping users informed of what changes are happening, and explaining what and why those changes are happening. It is free but there is very modest fee to use its mirror service, which I do and highly recommend.
Fantastic sniping service. I've used Gixen for years and have never had any problems. Everything runs like clockwork and the premium service is definitely worth the small amount of money that it costs. The best sniping service out there.
I have used this snipping service for a few years now. They offer a free eBay snipping service that works great, but you can upgrade and support the site for $6 a year. It is a great value compared to other snipping services. Highly recommended!
I subscribe to Gixen Mirror. It is an excellent service offered at a very affordable cost. I have made multiple purchases over the last 3 years and have never been let down.
The communication from the developer is clear and honest with no spammy emails. I used the free service for a few months before I decided to subscribe. I am glad I did - I highly value the service I get at a very low premium and, in any case, I like to support an independent developer who is constantly maintaining and improving a high quality product.
I have been using Gixen for many years. Back in the day almost everything was an auction and very few items were new and I don't think there was a buy it now feature. There were very few times in fact maybe only once or twice that I lost an auction to a quicker bid.
I've been using Gixen for a couple years now. It's legit; it works great; it's a great value. You put in your max bid and receive an Email whether you won or not. There's a Firefox extension called Autosnipe that makes it easy to interface with Gixen. It creates an extra "Add to Gixen" button above the normal eBay "Place Bid" button. Gixen is a great product.
Answer: TOTALLY LEGIT! Been a paid up user for over a decade and never had a single problem.
Answer: It is obvious the reviewer had all the problems that he incorrectly blames on Gixen because he has visited other websites that have put malware/spyware/keyloggers/viruses on his computer. He won't admit that his problems are his own fault so falsely blames GIXEN for his own incompetence.
Answer: I have not needed to reach Customer Service. Their online help is pretty good. Just read.
Answer: It just works. Simple user interface. You can just "set it and forget it". Maybe the best online tool I have ever encountered.
Answer: Nothing at all. Gixen main service is free up to 4 winning snipes a month. Reliability for the free service is 99.5%. If you want higher reliability you can subscribe to Gixen Mirror. In that case your bid is sent twice, from two servers in different regions to minimize chance of failure. Gixen Mirror is inexpensive, around $6 / year, and there are different subscription types that can be seen on the settings page.
Gixen has a rating of 4 stars from 508 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally satisfied with their purchases. Reviewers satisfied with Gixen most frequently mention many years, mirror service and ebay auctions. Gixen ranks 8th among Auction sites.
