I have ordered multiple items from Gilt and they randomly cancel them sometimes after months and leave me high and dry with a measly $25 credit. I am not sure if all items have this problem but the experience buy $1000s of furniture from them was abysmal.
Hi, I have never bought from them and the main reason is because the design of the platform keeps changing and also I've been buying from their competition legit websites such as MackTak.com ideeli.com and RueLala.com
And another reason I didn't get the chance to buy from them is because they sell out fast and they don't have the item I want in stock. But I have friends that have bought from Gilt and they are very happy and also I've been seeing their ads on TV.
My daughter was thoughtful to send her mom flowers on Mother's Day. When the package arrived at our house we could see that she had ordered them with my AMEX account through the gilt.com website. When we unpacked them we saw that the flowers were "dead-on-arrival." Even trimming the stems and placing them in water for several hours did not resurrect them. When we called the gilt.com customer service department and explained the situation they refused to offer any remedial action, either replacement flowers or a refund. They told us that they needed to speak with the person who placed the order first. I explained that the order was placed on MY credit card account and they still didn't offer to help. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

Thank you so much for your service. I'm sorry that you all had to suffer in the eclectic ways that you have, but you should know that your reviews have gone to a good cause. I almost purchased a pair of shoes off of the gilt website today, but decided to do some cursory research on gilt as I had never ordered from there before. I was shocked and disgusted to read the reviews of the gilt.com website, and due to these reviews I will not be ordering shoes, or anything else for that matter, from gilt.com. Soon enough, the incremental contributions that you all have made will result in the end of this horrible site. I will instead pay double the price to order the same shoes from Zappos, as that is how much I value my time and piece of mind. Again, thank you to you all. Your service is very much appreciated.
I was double charge then told I would have to receive the packages and return. It's taking forever and I'm out Christmas money... they are rude and they do not have good business practices. Things were supposed to come in boxes instead were in plastic bags stick with Zulilly or Ru La La.
I had to reach out twice to get the same problem resolved, that's why 4 stars. That being said, the second time they were much more clear in stating the solution than the first time I reached out. I feel better that the matter (a partial refund) will be resolved after this.
This company sucks! I ordered a red sofa on July 3, & no one can seem to pin point the whereabouts of this item nor do they know when it will be delivered. I've talk to the shipping company (EFW) Gilt.com hired to deliver this sofa. I've been on the phone with them 3-4 times & still no sofa. Complete bull$#*! & horrible customer service on Gilt's part. Never again will I patronize this incompetent company. ~OD
I purchased a Gilt Sample Sale ticket. 9 days after purchasing Gilt send an email that the sale is now being sold at 50%. I contacted their customer service immediately and they said no price matches after 7 days. I explained multiple times that this is not a product and a Gilt Sponsored Event. They did not budge. I opened a BBB case, in the beginning the Gilt management team did not want to help either. They claimed they didn't see a price reduction for the event and it is now sold out. I had to send them a copy of the email plus the screen shot of the day that I saw the prices at 50% off. After providing those documents they refunded me the difference. They are very hard to deal with, they don't want to make any exceptions for anyone. Their customer service doesn't care about your concern. I had to fight tooth and nail to get the refund.
I had an excellent experience dealing online (using email) on a billing question. Andrew from customer support researched the issue and send a detail explanation within 15 minutes. I am a happy customer. Thanks Andrew.

I ordered a kids cotton jacket, it was reasonable quality, but I'm sure a little overpriced; I mean it's just OK quality.
I guess what is paid for is the uniqueness of the style, which was pretty unique.
I would have liked to have some kind of email confirmation and shipping status update, but I got no communication after the purchase.
I have since been advised and apologised to, that indeed, i should have recieved confirmation email.
Emailed with a question about the jeans I had just purchased. Although they did not have the answer they had a wonderful solution and the email was answered very fast. Great guest experience. Thank you.
I purchased a Chloé Tess Small Leather & Suede Shoulder Bag. The bag cannot be real as the "leather"
Is cheap, hard and materially different than anything that you will find at the Chloe boutique. Too expensive for a fake. I am still waiting for gilt to authorize a return. However save yourself a disappointment and buy from a Chloe boutique.
My order with price 800 dollars is lost and GILT.COM does not help me to find my order. They inform me, that my order is transported by DPD Russia, but they provide the tracking reference from some other company. I can not receive my order for 6 weeks, GILT. Come ask by e-mail automatically to wait. I strongly do not reccomend to use this fake horrible web. Site.
I purchased a watch that was priced at $134 (reduced from $475). Afterwards I checked the prices that the watch was being sold for. It was priced anywhere from $94 to $115 - not $475. Purchasers have five minutes to change their mind before the purchase becomes final. Is this fair? Do not use Gilt.
Items are NOT as advertised! I Bought an expensive piece of jewelry. The pictures online vs. the piece I recvd were completely different! False advertising! The piece Also did not have proper stamps. Customer service refused to do anything stating it's "final sale"!
Stay away from buying from this site! Worst customer experience. They lost my first item and didn't ever inform me until I called... then they said my anniversary present to my boyfriend would ship in September and now it's almost December and after many calls in which they assured me it was on its way... they then tell me it is never going to come and UPS lost the item. OH and icing on the cake, I can re-buy the item and hope that it will come in February! 5 months after ordering the item I may have a hope to maybe receive it. And best part is you didn't try to appease me in any way.
I have always had a great experience using Gilt. Haven't ordered in awhile and was very pleased with a recent order I placed. I had asked for a promotion to be applied and the customer service team took care of the adjustment for me.
I wish I read the reviews before shopping at Gilt. I made a number of purchases in the past no problem but when I had to do a return, it was impossible. Stuck with a $300 pair of sunglasses that I don't want. Beware!
I hate this site! I got online at 12 to get the right size and color of a a very expensive dress and they sent the wrong size! Then they said they didn't have anymore and their customer service was terrible. This site is going down hill. Don't buy anything. Go to www.ruelala.com. Much better service and what you order is what you get.
Wouldn't it be nice if customer Service replied to your issues? Do not count on it! It has been a month with no response after an email a week looking for my products that were not sent. I probable would still be purchasing from them but what's the point if you do not get what you paid for and get no response regarding it? Make sure you are willing to part with your money if you choose to purchase from this company.

Answer: DO NOT purchase from Gilt! They state they "stand behind the authenticity" of their products. THEY DO NOT! I paid $975.96 for a LV handbag. Later, (after the 30 day refund policy) it started falling apart. Found out it was a fake. Gilt will not exchange or do anything to correct this. It's horrible customer service.
