After writing this review, I never saw the response from the company until recently! I almost didn't bother emailing them back because I was done trying, but I decided to anyways. I simply emailed the person who responded and didn't expect anything in return. I was very delighted to wake up this morning to a credit in my account from gifttree.com. I don't know if they have new people on customer service or something, but THAT is better then any of the other customer service I've received. I respect when a company notices they've made a mistake and they go above and beyond to fix it! Especially after like six months after the fact!
My husband ordered me Mother's Day flowers and ordered the additional bear to come with them. He wrote in the letter attached to the flowers that I would be receiving a bear. Well the bear never came. I contacted the company and said that I wanted a refund. We weren't satisfied with their service, and they have a "satisfaction guarantee" so I brought that up when contacting them. They said they would give me a refund on the bear first. And I said I wasn't satisfied and wanted a refund. They said they could refund the bear. And I said I wanted AT LEAST a partial refund for the flowers since they were incomplete without the bear they referenced. The lady I was chatting with online ended the conversation...
So I never got a refund for the bear I never received, and when I called again to ask for the refund of the bear and of the flowers, she told me it was too late. Uh, terrible customer service. I contacted them the day after Mother's Day and the lady ended the conversation on me. Not my fault.
Wish I had read the reviews before using this company! I paid extra to have a flower arrangement delivered to an office building by 2pm on a Thursday and it arrived on the following Monday. Not only was it DAYS late, it looked nothing like the picture (what I ordered is the photo on the left, what was delivered is on the right). I was completely embarrassed by what was sent. I would have preferred to not have anything arrive at all!

I ordered a gift basket for my step-father's son's passing. I saw a basket on gift tree with a black ribbon which I thought was appropriate for the occasion. Well, see the picture below for yourself on what I ordered and what I received. Not at all the same. Sure, the website has disclosures about receiving some different items, but the whole theme of the basket was about grief and mourning, so what's up with the purple ribbon? Not to mention the grocery store stickers that were left on the fruit. I brought this issue to customer service, and they gave me a $10 gift card. Thanks Gift Tree, the cheapest item on your website is $19.99 + shipping.
They got one thing right, it was delivered on time.

I can certainly appreciate the disappointment that was caused when this gift arrived with a purple ribbon instead of black, as it misrepresented the feeling you wished to convey. With our hand delivered gifts such as the one chosen, we ask our local designers to create a special gift for the recipient in the theme that is chosen. We do not guarantee any specific ribbon or color, though we ask them to be aware and conscientious of the occasion. It sounds like that did not happen here, which is why we extended the $10 in-store credit for use on a future purchase with us. From looking at the pictures, it appears that our designer did replicate the basket to the same value as the advertised gift, and we feel that they did what was asked of them. I ordered a gift basket for a customer which was delivered promptly. I had just ordered another gift basket when I received a call from GiftTree asking to review their service for the first order. I mentioned to the woman that the service was great and I'd already ordered another basket. She then proceeded to log in to my account for me and add a discount of 25% on the new order, saving my $30+ and free shipping. The whole process took under 5 mins and I've already been reimbursed for the discount.
Ridiculous! This company's website clearly states that as the receiver of a gift, if you are not fully satisified, they will exchange the gift and do anything to make you happy. However, upon receiving a gift that I would not use, they refuse to exchange it because it has been personalized. I am unhappy with this company. I will never shop here and I recommend you do the same.

I understand that products delivered will not be 100% exact as advertised, but that the floral arrangement received looked like a $10 bouquet bought at a supermarket with a $2.00 very ugly vase that it was put together in less than a minute...
I was buying this birthday floral arrangement I saw online for a very special person birthday and paid a total of $75.00 for it.
It is embarrassing and it looks really cheap. I wish I was allowed to upload a picture here...
Even better when I complained, they offered me a $30 store credit or 10% of the order back, $7.50?

I bought my mother a gift basket from this site for her birthday. I ordered the basket 10 days before and called to make sure it would arrive by her birthday. So her birthday comes around and she did not receive anything from gift tree. The next day i live chat with a service rep named Jessica and she proceeds to tell me that if i had upgraded the shipping it would have gotten there on time. I told her that 10 days is plenty of time to have gotten it there by the date i requested. She then told me to call next time i order so that they could talk to me about shipping options. Needless to say i will not be using this company again.

I see that ground (standard) shipping was selected, and this is unfortunately not a guaranteed delivery date, rather a delivery estimate. Although it is a fairly accurate eta, FedEx and UPS Ground can arrive a day or so in either direction of the delivery date depending on local traffic, delivery volume, etc.
While this is not ideal, if time is of the essence, we do have other options available as well to ensure your gift is guaranteed to arrive just when you need it.

Ordered Balloons for my Niece's 4th Birthday. The balloons were supposed to be delivered ON her birthday and I clearly indicated the correct date. Balloons were delivered a day late... and with mixed balloons - both boy and girl balloons. Not very special. And not WORTH the $10 per balloon that I spent!
I guess you get burned enough... that you learn! Will NEVER order from them again. They spoiled the surprise... and the balloons were marginal at best! You are better off going to the dollar tree, selecting what you want. And spending $5 instead of $50.

I ordered a $70 gift basket of candy for my best friend that was supposed to have oreos, twix, kit kats, etc. and it had total crap items when it was delivered (off brand chips, popcorn, nuts). I was very disappointed and asked for a refund, only to receive a $15 gift card for more crappy products from their site. NEVER order from here!
Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! I ordered a $60 gift for my boyfriend on father's day. He NEVER received the gift even though I payed extra for it to get there early. I complained and they SUPPOSEDLY resent it which was a BS lie because i was at his house when it was SUPPOSEDLY delivered (JULY 5TH)but the door never rang and his mom was outside cleaning at the time. They robbed me of my hard earned money. Never again will I order from them! Horrible company!

I do see that you contacted us on June 28th regarding this matter, and a replacement was set up immediately, which shipped out on June 29th to the address provided. You receive the tracking information via email of the replacement that was confirmed as delivered on July 5th. It saddens me that someone would take what is not theirs, but it does appear that is what has happened with these shipments.

I ordered balloons and a bear for my best friend for her birthday while she was on holiday in Hawaii. I entered her zip code during the order and the website guaranteed me it would be delivered the following day (on her birthday). Today I received an e-mail advising me that the gift could not be delivered as there was no one in the area to deliver it to her. I called Customer Service and they told me that the order was only submitted then and there was no one who could deliver it to her as she was in a "rural area".
A) Why did the company not identify that upfront when i entered the zip code?
B) Why did I not receive a phone call or e-mail with 'other options'
I could have ordered a gift from a competent company who can actually deliver on their promise and commitment.
What an absolute disgrace and a somewhat of a joke. How someone can run their business this way and not even offer a form of compensation...
NB: I have rated most of the "detailed ratings" as "Not Applicable", especially the rating for "Shipping"!

We had not received an order for this area in the past and have updated our system to reflect this being an undeliverable area. While we work with florists nationwide, it is difficult to pinpoint these smaller areas until doing some legwork to see if there is local service available.

Ordered a VERY expensive package on Monday - delivery guarantee of Thursday - website changed order status to delivery on Friday. On Friday, friend still had not received order ($18.00 delivery charge!); called Monday to inquire, was told order had been cancelled on Thursday! Customer service was NOT helpful, continued making excuses one after the other! I do NOT recommend them; I will NEVER order from them again!

I went on the gift tree website to order flowers for my mother in law's birthday. The next day, when it was time for the flowers to be delivered, I received a phone call from gift tree letting me know that they did not have any flower companies near her area I could deliver.
What I could not understand is why I did not receive a phone call the previous day when I ordered the flowers. By the time I received this phone call, it was too late for me to contact another company to get flowers to her on her birthday. I was absolutely shocked that this happened, and I will advise anyone not to use their flower service.
This was the first time I have gone through gift tree, and will absolutely be my last.

Read the other reviews. Ordered a birthday gift well in advance of actual due date. Wasn't delivered two days past the requested date. Got the run around about delivery issues, UPS, etc., no solid explanation. Asked for my money back and was told "that can't be done" by customer service. They offered to refund my delivery charges. Still don't know when, or if, my package will get delivered. Only way to resolve issue is to contact my credit card company. Stay away!

I too ordered a candy and fruit basket. There was no candy or nuts as promised. There were 3 apples, 3 oranges, and three pears. For this paid $120.00. This company is a true rip off. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Ordered online. Said they would deliver gift for daughter's birthday that day. It didn't arrive and I wasn't notified until I tried to call and the number wouldn't answer. I emailed and got a response that went back and forth apologizing but not offering other options. "If you'd like to have something else delivered let me know". "Okay, how do I do that?" I can give you a phone number. The number was the same one that didn't work. They then said they would cancel my order "tomorrow when I come in". Totally frustrating and unforgivable.

I ordered The Chocolate & Fruit Orchard which is supposed to contain Quality chocolate and Candy as well as a variety of fruit for my daughter's honeymoon suite. What was sent was an embarrassment, there was no chocolate or candy but there were Dollar Tree cookies. I sent a Toast of California wine basket to my sister for her 59th birthday. The basket was beautifully created and contained ornate, individualized boxes along with wrapping that was described as very classy. The basket did not look like the one on the website, but was nicely presented in a gorgeous basket that can easily be re-used. Don't let the negative reviews deter you. I would definitely buy from Gift Tree again.

I ordered a flower arrangement for my boyfriend's mother for Mother's Day- whom I have yet to meet. I live in California and she lives in Mississippi so I decided to try out this site. I was told it would be delivered on Monday (the day after Mother's Day) and although I was nervous about her receiving them a day late, I figured it wasn't the worst thing in the world.
I got a call on Monday saying that they wouldn't be able to deliver but that if it was okay with me, they'd like to deliver it the next day. I was annoyed but if it couldn't be helped, there was nothing I could do about it.
I called them today (Tuesday) to make sure it would be delivered on time. They assured me it would be delivered today and that I was on the priority shipping list. HOWEVER, they called me a couple of hours later to notify me that now it won't be delivered until tomorrow (Wednesday) and that the florist didn't have the flowers for the arrangement that I purchased so they want to go ahead and do a "designer's choice". So now I'm left with flowers that are going to be delivered a lot later than promised AND I have no idea what they're going to look like. I paid $60 for flowers I have no idea what it's going to look like.
It's not even guaranteed it's going to be delivered by tomorrow seeing that Gift Tree keeps postponing the delivery date. And the saga continues...
Would NOT order from them again.

What Gift Tree did to me is called "bait and switch". Charged me top dollar for beautiful flower arrangement that they displayed on a website picture. Sent me email that gift is scheduled for delivery and then at the last moment informed me that flowers are not available and instead they would replace them with so called "designer choice". They refuse to show me how the flowers look like and did not allow to speak with a florist. I did not have time to reorder another flowers, so I was hoping the Gift Tree would have curtesy to replace the arrangement with something comparable to what I have ordered. What they sent instead did not worth even fraction of what I ordered. That was just an embarrassment! When I called customers service they said if I have problems they would have to collect the flowers back. It was terrible, as they did not embarrass me enough.
What a rip off! Just want to warn fellow shoppers, so they be careful and would not become victims of Gift Tree with theirs rip-off service.
