We dedicated Friday dinner to fish at McDonald GE. Went out of town for 4 months and came back to a frozen patty of who knows what. So very disappointing. I don't know how to upload pics or receipts. I am not interested in $ back. I will not buy it anymore. SAD
Giant eagle is the wirst grocery store. There is never the advertised stock. Not to mention their prices are double. Publix is a much better store with much better quality. Don't shop giant eagle.

The store may be good but the pharmacy needs a new manager. Why should I wait 3 days for refills on my prescriptions? I have been having problems with refilling my prescriptions so I switched to 90 day prescriptions. Yesterday I called in 5 prescription refills. Today only 2 prescriptions were filled. It doesn't do any good to complain because the manager is young and does not care about customer service. Ditto the store manager. The whole pharmacy should be overhauled. I will have to move my prescriptions elsewhere for better service.
So it's a regular ol' Wednesday not a holiday nothing special and at peak hours ( 6pm) and their beer sales are closed. STUPID! Just really dumb, especially since there were about 6 giant eagle employees sitting in the Cafe at that exact moment, so it's not like they are under staffed... its just dumb... and everything is super expensive there anyway, these are the reasons I shop at small local places that are reliable and not some mega Corp that just sux! So dumb
It doesn't matter what department you shop in, employees are extremely rude, could care less about customers and are rude, obnoxious and can't think ahead to prepare for bakery or deli goods after a holiday.
Giant eagle prices are ridiculous. They take advantage of people every chance they get especially senior citizens. All there perk programs... Come on! Who do they think their kidding?
All they care about is making as much money as possible.
I was a big fan of Giant Eagle's homestyle chicken salad until recently. The recipe has obviously been changed. The chicken is too chunky and the dressing is bland. There is an old saying,
"If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Several people who I recommended this salad to are also unhappy.
Any chance the original recipe can make a comeback?
Kenna was so helpful! She has a great attitude and it's obvious she loves to help her customers! She's one of the reasons I chose to shop at this Giant Eagle location. She is extremely delightful and I love her wonderful smile! I must say the rest of the employees are great as well!
Giant Eagle Coraopolis/Moon Township has to do something with Michelle, I'm assuming she's a manager? I only saw her name tag, needless to say you would think that Giant Eagle HR would have fired her for the way she speaks to employees in front of customers at check out. What I saw and heard brought me to tears. NO body should ever be treated with such disrespect!
Shaler Giant Eagle has the worst customer service out of anywhere, the managers are a joke and the employees are the same. The deli does not close until 5pm but yet they stop slicing meat at 430 to clean the one last slicer out of the 5 they have? The sliced meats are horrible and the just re package them day to day so they sell. Giant eagle needs some serious help with customer service. Dollar tree has better service then here
Our Advantage Card was not working because it was old and the bar code was worn. I was informed to get a new card and we could link it to our account. We had Fuel perks and we were moved to Myperks. I never wanted MyPerks! Now I no longer get a discount when buying gas. Our Advantage price no longer exists! No one at customer service can help. Morons! Walmart here we come. Bye bye Giant Eagle!
This shop has at least two big problems. The first is that the prices it shows (if you go into the shop) are not the same as the prices that are scanned - and the strange thing is that, the price that scans is always HIGHER - if it was by chance, you would assume half would be higher and half would be lower. But ALL are higher. So I think that Giant Eagle just assumes that they can trick customers, who never remember the price they saw on the shelf. But I do remember. The other thing is that, after a customer (I) finds the price is higher than on the shelf, even to get a refund of 10c, Giant Eagle takes about 20 minutes to give you your 10c back. So they make it so that the customer has no protection! So my method is to just get up and leave if the price is wrong, and let the employees (who are probably miserable as well in that shop) deal with the mess.
I stole something a year ago i was 12 and i got caught i am now 13 going on 14. Writeing about how stealing taught me a good lesson.the cops came i was scared my mom had to take off of work to get me and she is a nurse and a single mom of 3 kids. That was the first time i saw her cry and i told myself i would never do it again Im writeing this because it taught me a lesson to work for what i want instead of stealing.even though they where mean thats there job and i appreciate that because without that meaness i probably would have done it again i also want to thank the person that said something about me stealing because without them i probably would still be doing it now im 13 now about to be 14 and i told myself when i was 12 that i would write them a good review because how much that day effected me for the better and i know its kinda funny me writeing a review about me stealing but i really appreciate them for that. Absolutely horrible experience for the weekend shopper. Have shopped there for years and quality standards are getting worse. Management is not exist in the Lyndhurst.
Made a complaint to store manager and security injected themselves and then I started at 30 that they didn't have, Giant eagle can do better than their security company
Local grocery store in north eastern US. Wide selection of produce, meat and general grocery products. Wide selection of private brand goods. Only complaint is the pricing is high, occasional specials are good value, but by and large you can always find the standard staple groceries for less money elsewhere.

Was contacted by customer service, and was basically told that they condone harassment, abuse, hate, discrimination, and refusal of public service to anyone with a medical condition who are unable to wear a mask. That they deliberately don't care to abide by the ADA law, or the Civil Rights Act of 1967. It's unbelievably immoral and despicable! As a public service if you are unable to serve your customers to the best of your ability and abide by the law, then you deserve to be shutdown and go bankrupt. It's absolutely disgusting how you're employees treat their customers, an absolute disgrace, unethical!
I was aggressively harassed and discriminated against today around 12:40 at the 2801 E. Waterloo Rd. Giant Eagle, (store #4029). Had two employees and their manager jumping down my throat over a mask after I explained to them that I have a medical condition, and it isn't proactive for me to wear a mask, they proceeded to harass me and refused service. So I went to the self-checkout, and there I was harassed by two other employees. I explained to them my same situation, and they continued to harass me and discriminate.
They tried to tell me that wearing a mask is the law now, they are sorely mistaken. Mandates are NOT law! I don't give into tyranny and unconstitutional acts of the government and these fear mongering dictators. The only ones breaking the law were your employees, so you should probably inform your employees on the ADA law, because they all broke it when I informed them of my medical condition and how they are breaking the ADA law by harassment, discrimination and refusal of service of someone with a medical condition. It doesn't matter what your policy is on masks, you still have to abide by the ADA law and the Civil Rights Act of 1964. And because of this despicable harassment and discrimination, I will be filing a discrimination/harassment complaint to the Ohio attorney general, Better Business Bureau, and Ohio Civil Rights Commission!
Don't shop in Brooklyn ohio store especially when buying a sub sandwich. They run out of stuff and are not "authorized" to go replenish an item to make the customer happy. Don't deserve even 1 star for that area. Close it down! It was 445 pm today and the sub sandwich area was not closing or anything I see lazy employees! The store is in Brooklyn ohio. The store manager Brandon did nothing!
I have been in the consumer rating business for many years and never seen it as bad as this before. Giant Eagle has been on the forefront of everything from racial profiling to falsely accusing shoppers of shoplifting. Further, The stores take no responsibility for alcohol consumption in their stores. If you have been a victim of such, contact a lawyer.
When someone calmly goes to customer service to clarify a display sign promoting buying three cokes and getting two free and is rudely informed she's wrong in spite of the signage and then is told, "I'm done with you!," in front of other employees and customers, you cant get any lower. I hate to think this is representative of the culture at Giant Eagle because if it is, I'll be writing about this in articles I ghostwrite for a large client in New York. Some of my articles are about CX (customer experience) and leadership. Besides customers who witnessed this spectacle, talk with Sue who was the only employee there who displayed any empathy. She's aware of the conversation.
Answer: It depends on what you mean by 'scam'! They do try to trick the customers into giving them more money than the customer owes to Giant Eagle, so it that is what you mean, yes, they are a scam! But I assume they are a legit company in that they do have a business system - but then again, so did Al Capone!
