I purchased an iPhone 5S for my wife over the Christmas and the website listed it as "very good condition". However, when we got the actual unit, it was far from "very good".

The iPhone 5S has a significant dent on the top right corner, a couple of scratches in the back and finally, dust in the front camera len (I don't even know how it is possible to get dust in there).

Overall, the shopping experience is decent, I just wish I knew that GetOrchard defines "very good condition" as having a dent on the phone and scratches.

They responded promptly and extended our 30 days no risk return to 45 days. We're still left feeling a bit ripped off. We will buy again in the future if need arises. But just change our expectation for our next buying experience.

Brilliant! It was an absolutely painless experience from start to finish. It starts by using an app to determine the value of your phone. This is a very novel idea, and it works flawlessly. After a few simple hardware tests and questions, you are presented with a value for your old device.
When you are ready to sell, Orchard sends you an envelope with a box, return shipping label and everything else you need to safely deliver your old device to them free of charge. You are provided several options of how quickly you want them to sell your phone. The longest time is three weeks, which I chose and isn't long at all. The longer you're wiling to wait, the more money you will get.

With Orchard being a startup company, they don't have much of a user base. This made me uncomfortable at first, but I'm glad I decided to try them out. Their process is simple and free, and I was able to get almost $300 for my iPhone 5 to put towards an iPhone 6 Plus. Their trade in values are easily the best in the market, and they do exactly what they say they do.

So if you're looking to get some money for that old iPhone, and you want to help out a very deserving fledgling Canadian company, I would encourage you to use Orchard, because I truely believe there is no better choice out there.

I have sold 3 phones through Orchard and the transactions has been seamless. A super easy way to sell your phone for little effort, for a great price. All the staff are kind, understanding, and really want you to get the most money possible for your phone. Once you download the app to quote your phone, they send you a box and a shipping label and you simply just package up your phone and bring it to the post office. Once they receive your phone, they again, quote your phone (usually for the same price as the original quote). You have the option to select a quick sale, so receiving less money but right away or the most amount of money after a four week window. I am all for selling things on kijiji but honestly, being a student is quite busy and I just do not always have the time to put in the effort to sell something this way. Orchard has allowed me to still make a decent amount of money with literally zero effort. I trust that they do their job well, and that I will receive an e transfer at the end of my selling window. I will definitely continue to use Orchard and spread the word!
