Used flex seal spray on corner joints of aluminum eavetrough, cleaned & degreased with acetone first, spray the outside, still leaked, sprayed the inside, it did last about 3 rainstorms, so yes it will work but not for long enough to justify the cost ($16.00 cdn) per can, or the time to remove it so it can be repaired properly.
Looks real good, sounds good also, but found it almost useless. Would not even think about riding in the flex seal boat with out a good life jacket on. Never tryed the liquid or the tape. Plumbers love the stuff because now they can charge $75.00 dollars an hour to remove it & repair it correctly. It,s kind of like Alien tape works good in space but not on Earth ( gravity)
Recently I purchased a 4oz. Tube of flex glue from a super Walmart. When I went to use this glue the following day I found it to be dried in the tube, impossible to squeeze out and totally unusable. I checked the package and the tube. Both seemed to be completely I damaged meaning no reason for air to get in and dry out the glue. If this product has a "shelf life" than there should be a "use by date" on the package. Waste of money.
Flexseal spray was on my basement stairs in a cool dry spot and it released flex seal doing damage to my house. My thought initially was the tin split on the bottom but I now realize the product came out the nozzle. I have contacted flex seal about them paying for repairs in my house. No response from them very disappointed! I have pictures of the damage done to my house and I sent those to flex seal. If this product released into someone's eyes can you imagine what would happen. This product should be recalled until proven the tin and product are safe! I'm not the only person this has happened to I found another on the BBB website.
Spent $20.00 at Canadian tire to repair an outdoor fountain, 2ft by 8in by 10in, water reservoir. Sprayed as directed, let dry as instructed, sprayed several coats as recommended, used a whole can spraying inside and out, did not even slow the leak down, cannot believe it would work on a boat if it can not hold 2 gals of water, what a joke and a waste of money. I will be sure to let everyone I know how poor this product is, will never purchase this product again.
I bought some Flex Seal at Walmart and I tell you what, I put Flex Seal on my campers roof and it made the leak in our roof worse. It was raining harder in my camper than it was outside. If I knew and read this before buying very expensive seal spray that makes things worse, I would have never bought it. I would have saved $60 bucks on something that works.
Had a leak on the outlet side of pool pump, tried twice to seal leak with spray, did not work, also had leak on the suction side of the pipe line. Again did not stop the air leak. Would not recommen to anyone and will never waste any more money on this product.
However it sid work on my gutter(no pressure involved, put on 3 spray coats.
I ordered 2 cans of flexseal and instead of what i ordered i got 6 cans and a bill for $119.67 I did not double or triple the order as they tried to sell me but they just send it to you even when you tell them you do not want it. My bill was supposed to be $29.94 and they charged my credit card $119.67. Now i have 6 cans of crap that may not even work.
Used on the seam of my gutters to stop leaking and well no bueno. I wasn't sure if product would work so I only did one area. So I tried another area and even after cleaning second area really well again, still no good. I used the white spray which discolored to yellow after 6 months. This company just scams people out of their hard earned money. Do not use any of their products
Small drips from the end of the corrugated roof line that i underlapped another short sheet on my pergola to make the roof length.
Sprayed and pasted Flex Seal over the underlap joint with the paste to seal and then 2 full cans of Flex Seal spray over total area to cover any open spot.
Dried till nxt rain.
Not even a heavy rain and now the leak(s) have expanded across the entire patio roof line.
How after sealing the leak, the water went against gravity and went under the corrugated roof.
The entire area 8" x 72" was covered by FLEX SEAL and now it leaks even more.
WTF! GO FIGURE... but ill never trust this product anymore and my customers too.
Fallowed directions to a T on both tape and spray on and didn't hold either time. Spent more money on this product than it would have been to just buy a new one. Once again I fallowed the directions to a T
Purchased flex seal mini for my pool and to begin with the patch didn't stick. I then opened the glue to try to use it and it was hard and wouldn't come out. Emailed the company and sent them pictures. After a few emails of discussing the issue he finally said he couldn't help me I had to take it back to the store. I work 12 hours a day and don't have time for this and why couldn't he just sent me a coupon or a replacement. I sent him pictures of the packaging and the product. Just don't think they wanted to correct the wrong and was expecting me to just go away. The person I was communicating with was named Stephen. Thanks for all the help ( yes that was sarcastic)
I placed an order for the buy 1 can and get the 2nd can free just pay the s&h, when I went to print my reciept I dropped it on the floor when I seen$99.74, no way. Thank god when I checked my debit card, I didnt have that amount in it. You can't even talk to anyone, computer only, thats so they don't have to deal with the people they are ripping off.
I have been waiting for almost 1 month and have called several times. The last time they told me it was going to be shipped within 2 days, and they would text me. No it wasn't and no they didn't text me so I called them. They told me that they had no information this time so I tried to cancel the $100.00 order. They told me to call back tomorrow. So I called the credit card and refused to pay it.
Deceptive website, can't review order before placing... on hold for FORTY (40) MINUTES when I called. I wanted to cancel or change my order. The girl told me it was "in process" so it couldn't be changed, even though it hadn't shipped yet. Ridiculous. I finally got an RMA number out of her that would allow me to return part of my order for a refund.
We live on the lower half of a hill with a creek in the front of our house. We used flex seal spray on the outside and inside of the baseboards around our house. Flex seal kept water from entering into our house lastnight when there were flash flood warning and raining really bad. This was the 1st out of 4 times our house finally did not flood inside. Amazing stuff yall. Recommend to my mother in law for her to use in her down stairs area where water gets in as well.
I live on the Jersey shore and have an elevator. When it rains, the elevator pit fills up and there is an automatic switch that send the elevator to the 3rd. Floor. We can not use the elevator until we pump out the pit.
I used Flex Seal and Flex Spray on the pit walls and the floor. We had a very heavy rain (12-15 hrs.), this past week. The pit was BONE DRY... You have a GREAT product.
PS. I bought your product from Amazon and do not have a proof of purchase. Frank J Provenzano- *******@aol.com
Ordered flex paste, did not here back, called company was told on backorder. Was told it would be in stock by the end of week. It wasn't, so I canceled the order because we would be across the country. Next day received email saying they would keep trying to fill the order. Called again and made it very clear the order needed to be canceled, was told it would be. One month later received email saying it was shipped. Tried calling company to say no one is there to get it, was on hold 30 minuets twice. What a rip off. Worse company I ever had to deal with. Never again.
I think I covered it in my title. I totally wasted my money buying flex seal. It didn't seal anything I tried using it on and I feel cheated. I think 2 3rd graders came up with this product. Then they got the greatest marketing team to go on and swindle everyone that buys this CRAP!
Purchased Flexseal CLEAR and sprayed the upper part of my front entrance door. The CLEAR came out white ruined the front of my door, neighbors thought someone graffitied my home. Called Customer Service and for months gave me the run around to prove the damage. They act concerned but they they made it difficult to get reimbursed for the damage. Till today they will not reimburse me and I sent a Linkedin message to the owner, no response. Classic avoidance, spread the word stay away
I used 5 cans of flexseal on the roof of my 12 foot camper. This was over a three week period i paid 25 dollers a can. Answer: I would highly recommend NOT using anywhere around moisture. I experienced mildew growing on product.
Answer: No. Recommend you use eternabond sealant and then eternabond tape and skip this garbage.
