I had a small leak in camper roof. I used liquid Flex Seal and covered entire area 3 feet around hole, Looked great. Next year I decided to coat entire roof. Bad idea. 2 years later Flex Seal starting flaking off and roof leaked resulting in major damage. Also roof cannot be coated with anything until all the Flex Seal is removed. Decided to scrap My camper valued at 6000.00
We bought 8 spray cans of Flex Seal to coat the seams and bottom of our above ground swimming pool to stop a leak and prevent new ones. We coated it several times waiting a day between to let the first coat cure. After two weeks it was still tacky but other people told us that was normal... we filled the pool and turned the kids loose. Now we get to throw out the 2000 dollar pool because every time the kids get our their feet are coated in Flex Seal. The carpet from the back door to the bathroom was also ruined before we figured out what what mess was and we cannot get the Flex seal out of it. Also took me 2 hours to scrub the crap off my shower floor because it transfers so easily from the bottom of their feet to absolutely any other surface while somehow still being decidedly difficult to fully remove from their feet. The pool still leaks. Complete waste of money on a product that is going to wind up costing us thousands more in clean up and repair.
I had 3 small areas in my basement where water would trickle in during a heavy rain. I decided to coat most of my basement 3 blocks up with Flex Seal. I purchased 13 gallons of flex seal at a cost of $89 per gallon and had it professionally applied by a licensed contractor. Final cost was $3000. 00. It did nothing. I have watched the water trickle in through the Flex Seal. This product does not work on cement block. Do NOT waste your money and time.
Lousy product. Scam! Expensive. Tried it just now to seal some unused mounting holes in my Sears Roof Top carrier. Squirt, squirt... Empty! Wouldn't even fill 10 small (5/8) holes before it went empty. Not more than one tablespoon of product in 2 oz can. Save your money and try duct tape or stainless steel duct installation tape. There ought to be a law (like the old days when consumers were protected from scam artists like this. Now they're all in Congress)...
Who do we contact to get a refund from this junky online service? I want to simply cancell my order its been a month and still no shipping. Im contacting the BBB as well. What a sorry run business. Ill also call my bank.
Pure garbage. Just use spray tar. That allways works. I hate it it when a product is over sold by ridiculous claims. Remember what our parents said "if it's to good to be true, it probably is" I should of went with my gut.
After seeing the TV ad listing the product as $19.99 plus a free can (just pay s/h) sounded good. I placed an order. Just before my card was charged, the site asked whether I wanted to "upgrade to bigger cans" for $4.95 additional. I did. By my calculations that's $19.99 + $9.95 + $9.95 + $9.90. At this point I thought it was getting high, but decided to go with it anyway. My bill ended up being $99.74! The products came out to $59.94 which should have been $29.89 and the shipping was $39.80 (really? For 2 cans!) which should have been $19.90. The kicker is - if the product DOESN'T work, you get $60.00 back, but not the $40.00 in shipping. That probably is how they make their money - overcharge shipping which actually pays for the product to begin with! I canceled my credit card!
How can any company or person sell bull crap and get away with it. For instance that bullcrap supposed to plug holes in boats yeah right u will drown. I'm so sick of all these fake bull crap. I really hate ppl taking advantage of other ppl for the sake of money. Wow get a real freaking job. Also they know that ppl gonna buy it at least once and just millions of ppl buying it to see if it's legit these greedy as ppl or company already made millions because we trusted what they say. These ppl need to be locked up and throw the freaking key away! So freaking unreal how they can get away with this.
As you already know, people are having a problem with this site. I basically wanted to use this product really bad but I am not interested in paying that type of money for a can or even two cans for that matter even though I really love the convincing commercial. So since many on this site has ordered it, I don't mind buy a can for $10 if you wanna get rid of it. This is for the ones who got 6 cans and didn't order but 1 can. And know that I won't be mad at you if you feel I am trying to get over. I just think the amount on the site is too high and the S&H is too high as well. But if somebody got their money back and still wants to get rid of some of those cans, let me know.
Believe all the people that say it takes forever to get. One thing I haven't seen posted is that the commercial shows this crook holding a tub of this flex paste crap and he has like a 5 gallon pail in his hand. BS. 3lb tub that took months to get. I called and they basically said if you don't like the wait we will return your money. Great! I've been waiting for two months for you to tell me that. I saw the commercial every night and I said to the customer service agent "If you don't have this stuff, why are you still running ads. If I could give it a ZERO I would.
Had a tiny crack on the seam of my sand pool filter. Bought the liquid, glue, tape AND PASTE. The leak is WORSE keeps finding ways to pop a hole and water squirts out more then original leak. Obviously going to have to get a new filter but thought this stuff would be a quick fix in the meantime. Don't waste your money or time,
Flex Seal should be named " Flex $hit".
I purchased 2 cans of the Flex $hit spray- was absolutely worthless.
Not worth the ink on the cans.
And looking at the commercial, the situations advertised simply do not exist for the most part.
Flex $hit is a scam originating/ based/ owned in the country of Jordan whom uses profit to fund terrorism around the Globe primarily against any non si-lam-ic sectors.
Don't take my word for it- do your own research and learn all of the facts that cannot be displayed in this review.
Flex Seal/ Scam/ Jordan based/ funds terrorism.
PLAIN AND SIMPLE.
I used flex seal sealant it worked pretty good. I had some left in the can put it in basement where it is cool with my other paint it's been sitting there for almost 8 month I went in the basement and noticed the can exploded and now I have paint on my ceiling floor and all over the other paint cans and buckets not sure why this happened but was glad no one was around when it happened can anyone explain why it did this in my cool basement.
I've used this product probably 75 times and 74 of the 75 times I was completely satisfied with the product all right one time I found out just how flammable the product was my own fault but it ran me completely out of the product and that caused a bit of grief but otherwise it works as advertised
This stuff is garbage when he said for flood damage anything with water this is so bad this fat body that owns the company phil swift is a liar he does not no anything about construction he needs to retract these advertisements now
The tape is hard to handle, but worked for holding up ceiling tile from leak in the roof until it can be repaired. The Flex Seal liquid was a little hard to spread evenly, but to my amazement stopped the leak in the attic from the roof. I would definitely recommend it.
Used this product to seal edges of gutters along roof edge that had a minor leak. After 3 cans and applications the area was still leaking. I then used a tube of good Silicone seal that cost $6.00. No more leak! Flexseal it total BS!
I painted the bottom and top of each shelf on my metal shower caddy. No more rusting!
And my water fountain started leaking we painted the inside with a few coats of white liquid flex and no more leaks.
I have used flex seal in the past with no good results. Just used the flex seal tape with even worst results on a simple hose that had a small leak and it still leaked even more. When they show a leak running from a pipe and put tape on and stop. But what I think is they turn the water off. I will let people how bad the product really is. I would post a picture but didn't want to crawl back under the commercial washer.
I needed to stop water from seeping through the mortar at the bottom of a brick wall. It has just gotten wet but the rain had stopped. I tried to spread it in the seam between the brick and concrete floor. It immediately pulled away and followed my putty knife wadding into a pile of goo. I could not get it to stay on the horizontal or vertical surface and it would not stick in the joint.
Junk junk junk!
Answer: I would highly recommend NOT using anywhere around moisture. I experienced mildew growing on product.
Answer: No. Recommend you use eternabond sealant and then eternabond tape and skip this garbage.
