Purchased an emerald in 2022 from GemsNY in 2022 and had a platinum setting made. After only 2 months of wear the baguette diamond fell out of one side. And of course was not covered under their warranty as they say they only cover the setting. Spent several hundred dollars sending it back, and had to pay to replace the diamond as I did not want to make an insurance claim so soon. It is now April and the other diamond is loose and about to fall out of setting. Luckily she noticed before it fell out. Do not waste your money with this company. Their customer service is great when you are purchasing but horrendous thereafter. Beautiful ring but horrible quality setting and no effort from this company to remedy.
Making a huge investment online without physically inspecting the gems is a scary proposition, but I am delighted I trusted GemsNY. Their prices blew away my local brick and mortar stores and the stone is exactly as advertised. If anything they undersold how well it was cut. And my order was made even better because I had a problem - the setting didn't quite work with my wife's wedding band. I was able to get a local setting and send back the one that didn't work for a full refund. So my wife got just what she wanted at a considerable discount -- all with great service. I'd happily use GemsNY again.

I have always wanted a ruby engagement ring, but had just about given up until I came across gemsNY. Most shops rent a few rubies and try to push them on you with little to no information.
I made an appointment and they were able to show me all the nuances in different clarity, colors, brilliance, and heated/non heated (walked me through more like). Prices were at least half what we had seen at places before and in my one appointment, I saw over 10 stones in person.
I can't speak for the online experience, but I highly suggest this company (and if you can make a quick trip or a vacation to NYC, you can see any stone from the website in person!) People were very friendly, helpful, and I never felt pressured out o my price range - they showed stones well below in fact!
