Since my last review the fault i had in march 2022,, with my leather sofa.it was the sofa seat falling in.the cushion the inners failing, well nothing has been done about this. They did send out CASTELAN FURNITURE CARE to look at this in may 2022 they told me the leather and seating needs replacing. Then sent the report to F. V they then faked the report and sent it back to me. Saying nothing wrong its just settlement,, but not heard anything on that fault they refuse to look at the faked report, and just ignore me again. Then in august 2022 my sofa developed yet another fault. The high quality preminum leather sofa started to peel at the back panel. Looks awful. I reported this to. But heard nothing, im not expecting to either... remember this sofa is not even a year old with all the warrantys avalable,
But at least i can tell future customers about furniture village, ill keep putting the photos on.as the sofa falls apart. Not botherd about taking them to court of section 75.or the ombudsman. They just ignore all them too..
Look at the photos and see if you can spot what my issue with this product is! Apparently FV think this is acceptable. I paid nearly £1000 for this table and extension leaf. Not fit for purpose and thy could not care less! Customer service department is a joke and couldn't give a monkeys. Fobbed off again and again with no offer to replace or refund. Small claims court here I come.
The company is poorly managed
I worked at warehouse distribution in Bristol and never heard so much racist remarks. When questioned it was told it was only banter. Most of the drivers are always off their face. Hence while there is a high records of damages. The managers are all blasé and doesn't care once the furnitures are delivered.
I have bought a sofa got all the warrantys had the sofa a few months it fell to bits. They refuse to do anything,
They sent an assesor to look he was here 12mins 4 seconds.and lied on the report or they alterd the report, its full of descrepencies i think i caught then out so they just ignore me.
I tried everything to contact them but cant. They never get back.
They are terrible company and people should know to avoid them
Ordered dining table end of dec 21 we are now beginning of June 22 and still no sign. We paid in full in good faith. Lie after lie as to where it is, whilst our money is gaining interest in their bank. Cancelled order after being persuaded not too on numerous occasions. Ordered from another store and being delivered in 1 week. My advice Avoid FV at all costs!
Warranty dodging retailer...
Furniture village old trafford. Rubbish cozee leather sofa. 4 months old, but they just ignore customers who complain. They claim they can NOT do anything EVEN THOUGH ITS GOT A 2 YEAR MANUFACTURES WARRANTY.
20 YEAR COMPLEMENTRY WARRANTY
5 YEAR A GUARDSMAN WARRANTY
ITS COVERD FOR NOTHING. ALL THIS AND COVERD FOR NOTHING. A 4 MONTH OLD SOFA. Can you imagine what there sales people have to put up with all these faults none of their problem...
Once they have your money forget it! Nightmare company to deal with. I can't even begin to explain the runaround I've had from the Reading store... zero stars don't exist and even that is too much for this bunch of idiots. Couldn't run a booze-up in a brewery... weeks and weeks later I just cancelled my order after so much waiting in and days where they didn't turn up... just make you wanna scream... avoid at all costs unless you fancy wasting your life chasing these morons
Sofa bed which has been used a dozen times max over 18 months. The bed had a bent hinge so after 3 months of chasing, 8 calls, 1 returned call we have up and accepted the FV offer of £500 (£800 purchase price) despite being under warranty as they couldn't replace the part. They just do nothing and hope that you accept they insulting offer they make... And this time they were right
(UPDATE) So customer services acted like they cared by reaching out to us on here... they sent us the report where it states that a new cushion insert would fix the problem, it also had inconsistencies, furniture village went above the report and said this is down to normal wear and tear... AFTER 4 MONTHS NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR... also said we must not of been sitting correctly... WHAT... I suposse that the sofa's are just show sofa's and not ment to be sat on. I will take this as far as I can... if you want to see the sofa's and progress you can check them out on TikTok search parkiv86 and you will see there... they may offer good service to start with (sales techniques) they may look nice for a with weeks but don't be fooled... 0 starts, the company has no customer care what so ever. After being sold by the rep in buying these firm solid recliners and spending lots of money, after just 4 months you would think we have had them 4 years, the sponge has lost its padding and is like sitting in a bucket and does my back no good getting up. They send a guy out who clearly said (TO US) there was an issue with the larger foam seat pad and that there had been movement, but according to furniture village the report came back fine... we even have photo evidence... after sending further emails and asking for a copy of this report they are now not responding, awful company. Avoid at all costs...
View yourself on tiktok just search parkiv86 and you will see it...
As many others have already said - DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE JOKERS!
When we ordered our leather corner sofa, we were told to expect a 14-16 week wait. As other customers have reported, it's basically impossible to speak to someone over the phone to get an update, so we went in store to ask someone.
We were very unapologetically told that it'd be roughly the end of may which would actually make it 22 weeks lead time!
The staff member then came out with the usual BS of giving approximate dates in good faith and tried to pass the buck to the sales person that actually processed our order and told us that they would be in contact.
I get that things can be delayed, but an additional 6 weeks with absolutely no communication is just terrible customer service.
I hope at least the final product is at least good quality, however, after reading many other reviews to the contrary, I'm not holding out much hope. Could be £3500 down the pan here.
Made a significant £2k+ purchase of a dining room table and chairs. Just coming up to a year old and the metal base has rust on it. Took pictures and sent them to their customer service. Response was this is an environmental issue and not covered by warranty. We are being asked to get an independent furniture assessor to write a report. Not sure how you can have an environmental issue in a central heated dining room? The metal chairs have not rusted.
As we purchased on finance we will be progressing with the Finance Company if they wish us to continue paying for it. Then small claims court.
I would advise you to consider carefully before purchasing from this company.
Went into store as the leather piping disintegrated ( minimal use, no pets or children) rude response told no after care in store and to contact via email which I did in January and chased up ever since and no response apart from send a photo which I did and still no response
Really shocked at Furniture Villages' (FV) poor attitude. Our white leather Galaxy sofa was delivered on Dec 7 2021. Paid for 5 year Guardsman Protection. Soon ugly black marks started to appear on the white leather with no known cause.
Guardsman said not accidental so not covered. Furniture Village sent technician who said was accidental damage. FV said not a manufacturing defect so not covered by them. FV offered to send a copy of the report, but despite chasing never did.
I wrote by special delivery to Furniture Village CEO Peter Harrison (signed for by Tracy 09-03-2022). I asked for a response by Mar 18th, but have received none by April 4. Now I just want our £3,175 back and they can take the sofa away.
How FV expect to be able to wash their hands of this after taking our money I do not know. I advise anyone thinking of buying from them to think again. Problems occur and it is how they are dealt with that counts. FV do not appear to care.
Purchased a stool on the 31st January and was told the lead time was 5 weeks. I am still waiting. 2 delivery dates have been received but as yet the goods have not materialised. Spoke today to the Depot in Southampton who state that they have received the goods but cannot locate them. Unbelievable shoddy after sales. Will wait a little longer and will then be contacting my Bank for them to chase up the payment (taken on the day of the order) for a full refund if the goods do not arrive. A lesson learnt I will never purchase through Furniture Village again.
Please don't buy any items from here,
They will tell you how long you need to wait,
But that is not true!
You need to wait much longer than the time they tell you,
When you try to contact this company for the updated information,
They just give you reason again and again,
Then your items will be delay again and again,
It's the worst decision if you are trying to buy items from here.
I ordered a bed from Leicester in January and it was delivered and assembled on 27/2 it was faulty and in spite of hours(literally hours) on the phone, numerous emails and 3 visits to my local store the missing parts have not been installed. I had also bought a mattress from my local store and have had to cancel delivery of that twice. So nearly £2000 of my money and I still don't have a bed to sleep on. I'd like my money back but what are the chances. Avoid this company.
We paid £1850 for a Hypnos mattress which was so uncomfortable when we received it that we have been unable to get a good nights sleep since it arrived. FV said to try it for 2-4 weeks to give it time to settle, well it's been six weeks and there is no improvement. Today they told me that as it's uncomfortable, not damaged, it's not covered by their guarantee so I would have to use it for three months (with very little sleep) to see if it settles. If not they may send someone to look at it!
I very strongly suggest that you avoid Furniture Village because if you have a problem they won't want to know.
Brought a Standered lamp on line, took 5 months to arrive, no communication whatsoever from Furniture Village, always having to contact them and that was a mammoth task on its own, waiting on the phone for an hour at a time being 38 in queue to be given empty promises on its arrival. When it eventually arrived it was damaged, scratched on the base. Back to being 38 in the queue. Was told they would send another,"no thanks not waiting another 5 months" FV "oh we will get a replacement to you quicker" Really! There were no words! It's going back. God knows how long it will take to get a refund! Never going to get anything from this company again, wish I'd read these reviews first.
I only put 1 star because I had to.
Go elsewhere, they'll give you a delivery date but then make excuses, blame the couriers which may be sub contracted and not their own delivery people. Our stuff has been delivered to their warehouse and will have been sat there for 2 to 3 weeks before the courier will be calling to arrange delivery. So who knows how much longer after that until the stuff finally gets here. They won't tell you that when you're in their store buying but once they've got your money you'll find that the customer service is appalling. Just come off the phone to the store in Chester and putting it politely the guy was unapologetic and quite condescending. Go elsewhere
Xavier sofa 3 month old seats all sunk apparently is our fault it's a sofa you sit on it plus on your description on your website it says the seats are spring and they are not they're just cheap foam these are really expensive sofas for us I would not recommend furniture Village for customer service or their furniture I thought I was buying from A reputable company obviously not at the end of the day you expect a sofa to at least a year without it sinking in the the depths of Hell we both work and we spend probably 6 hours a night sitting if that and for it to have sunk to a point where you can't even sit on it properly in 3 months I would say is definitely a manufacturing fault and the people you send round aren't independent investigators they work for you the guy told me we have a 20-year old sofa in our conservatory that was in our living room and guess what that hasn't sunk in 20-years time furniture Village started taking responsibility that way you'll get a better service and people will come back to you and buy stuff if some manager could get in touch that would be fantastic.
Below is an extract from your description sprung seats they are not as discussed with your technician
