Do not sign up without triple checking what delivery dates are available in your area. The purpose for me was to help me through the work week, which I assume is true for most people and the main point of the service. So I needed early in the week, but I could only get Thursday deliveries. I signed up for that initially hoping I could change future weeks, but no. The best I could get was Wednesday or Saturday, and even those days only several weeks away. Even the Thursday delivery didn't arrive till after dinnertime. Customer service showed no interest in being more flexible.
I have been pleasantly surprised at how delicious, healthy, and convenient these meals are. Tastes like it would if homemade-only I had the time! So much better than a frozen meal. Freshly has really helped us out and enabled us to make better choices (and quit resorting to take out) by having something delicious and ready to eat. Would recommend this to everyone.
I love Freshly and have been telling everyone I know to sign up. It saves me so much time, allows me to try new things, and every meal is delicious! I think it's amazing because you get to try a wide variety of cuisines within one week for an affordable price vs. having to buy all the different ingredients for several meals and trying to find the time to cook them. I also have no interest in cooking, so this it's amazing to just have to heat them up!

Signed up for a trial offer. Tried the mac and cheese. Absolutely disgusting. Raw Onion. Gross. There is no RAW onion or bell pepper in a mac and cheese unless you are mentally disturbed.
Less than 24 hours later, I received an email stating that my next weeks "order" was on the way. I never placed an order. I contact them to tell them I didn't place an order and anything they had coming to me needed to be cancelled as I didn't place an order. They told me too bad and proceeded to charge my credit card.
This service amounts to thieves with your credit card. I'm off to contact my credit card company.
How can they send me an order when I didn't order anything?

Apologies for any confusion regarding how our service works - all of our plans are set up as weekly subscriptions, as outlined during ordering, at checkout, in the Terms, and in the confirmation email. Customers can skip weeks as needed, pause indefinitely, or cancel permanently, as long as they do so by their weekly deadline.
We outline the weekly deadline (to cancel/pause/skip) in the confirmation email and weekly reminder emails. It is typically 5-6 days before the next scheduled delivery, quite soon after the first delivery. The meals for any future orders are selected based on the initial selections, save for any potential overall menu changes or shortages.
I love the Freshly meals. Nutritious. No msg. Great for my tricky digestion.
Opportunities to improve:
PLEASE divide the trays. I don't want raw meat sitting on my potatoes and I don't want meatloaf topping in my peas and carrots.
Slit to make handles to help an old lady get the HEAVY box inside.
How can we recycle the ice packs? I've used all I can and donated all I can.

And in regards to the seafood options that we removed from our menu --while we're making changes to our selection, we do hope to introduce seafood dishes again soon. Loved the flavor of the buffalo chicken and mashed cauliflower. I heated up some string beans and red and orange pepper strips I had and it was a beautiful and healthy and FAST dinner. The price is terrific Slightly over 21. Dollars for the two of us per meal. No waste for clean up which is so easy. Now on to other things I like better than cooking.

We have really enjoyed Freshly and the convenience and consistency of enjoying good, healthy meals. I would prefer to have an option to have delivery in a re-usable bag as there is too much waste when my partner and I are focused on sustainability. Perhaps after someone finishes a month of delivery you could begin to deliver in a re-usable bag/soft pack. As I really don't like throwing all the packaging into the recycling bin every week!

For example, we’ve recently been testing fiber containers, and we hope to utilize more materials like this in the future. In the meantime, we always urge our customers to recycle using the instructions we include on our packaging.
I used a promotion to try Freshly for home delivery.
The web app is easy to use and the meal selection is good. (No mobile app is a disappointment) Delivery was on time and the meals were as described.
Quality was fine, not great, just fine. At $10+ per meal, it seems like a tough price point for glorified frozen TV dinners. Munchery is a fresher and better tasting option, without the burden of a subscription service or the need to think ahead.
Tough sell.

We got Freshly meals for our son who is a Division 1 athlete. He loves the convenience of just having to heat up his meal - no chopping or meal prep! We love that he's eating healthy foods to fuel his performance.
My main feedback is that I would love the option to send him a 2-4 serving meal! He eats 3 meals in one sitting! I would imagine a bigger serving option might be preferable for families as well?
When I started my super busy new job, I couldnt meal prep anymore. I still wanted to keep my healthy diet, and Freshly came through with food that is affordable, on-time, and delicious. Thanks guys! I have been able to lose some weight and am healthier than ever!
The meals I have had have been very good, at the least. Some have been just excellent! Everything is cooked to perfection, nicely seasoned, and good quantity of food to satisfy my appetite. The variety is great, letting me try different dishes that I have not had before. A couple have not been exactly my favorites, but even those were quite good, and very well prepared. And, importantly, the convenience of having cooked meals delivered to my home is a great comfort in these times. I am very grateful for this service!

I have had a very positive experience with Freshly's customer service if there is an issue with delivery. I am happy that Freshly monitors their delivery statuses so they can alert me if anything is late. I like the variety Freshly offers on their weekly menus, but I do miss the fish and vegetarian options they used to carry. I don't eat pork or beef and there are only so many chicken dishes I can eat in a week.

The meals have been fantastic. The problem lies in the delivery. We have had three weeks out of 5 with delivery problems. Hopefully those issues are resolved. Also the chicken bbq spices are not what my daughter likes but she says that the kale tastes just like homemade.

I had tried some of the other companies that deliver all of the ingredients to make a meal, but found it still took 40 min to cook and 10 min to clean up. Freshly is perfect. It is a fresh prepared meal made of whole healthy food, but only takes 2 minutes to heat up. I was hesitant because I usually don't like meat heated in a microwave, but all of the good taste is preserved with these meals. So excited to have this option.
Freshly has been great because they are affordable, easy to cook (or heat up, rather) and they have so many options available. It's not hard to find something that you like, and the meals are all ready to go in 5 minutes... great for busy people like myself!

I received 2 incorrect meals. The order was for the Carved Turkey and instead received the Baked Florentine Chicken. There was no notification that this switch occurred due to an issue at Freshly's end. Mary F was very accommodating and issued me a reasonable credit for their mistake.

I totally forgot my delivery was yesterday and didn't unpack my box until things morning. Mel was awesome in giving me peace of mind that my meals are ok by explaining the Freshly packaging and delivery process and which let me know how long the meals are good for. She also gave me a great tip on not defrosting meals I freeze.

The delivery has always been spot on and they've notified me the one time that FedEx was having delivery issues. My food always arrives cold (which is good). There could be a better variety of dishes. Sometimes, after it's been heated, the food has a freezer burn taste and disintegrates when a fork hits it but the breakfasts are ok.

You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
