I started freshly because my mother has been ill and in-and-out of hospitals and rehab (not drugs) for the last 3 & 1/2 months. When I emailed to cancel my subscription because my father quit eating I can't believe how wonderfully nice, kind and compassionate Toni was. What a nice relief when dealing with so much stress. She's an asset to your company and needs to be commended!
Everything has been simple and pleasant as well as delicious. Any and all questions and concerns were addressed on your website which is very well designed. Signing up was extremely easy. Keep up the good work. We look forward to future meals. Thank you.
Just had a baby, husband is gone on work. Freshly saved my life! I have no time to prepare or cook anything these days and this was a wonderful find. So nice that the food is fresh and much healthier than the high-sodium frozen lean meals in the stores! Love it and will definitely continue my subscription until my husband comes home again (and then maybe we will just double it!)
I was upset about a meal being cancelled and Nikki indicated others had a similar concern and gave me hope that this tragic loss of a great meal might be rectified because feedback from customers like me is how Freshly knows when they mess up! (Okay she didn't say it like that, but I know that's what she meant).

It would be great if you were able to use reusable crates for packaging. As one delivery is dropped off, the delivery service could pick up the old crate for reuse along with the ice bags. Just a thought! I know pharmacy's use them.

The service was efficient, well prepared, delivered on time as predicted, and packaged extremely well. Moreover, the food was pretty good, nicely presented but a little mushy and too much salt for my taste. I may come back since Freshly is the first service of this kind I have tried that delivers.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our experience with freshly. All the meals and delicious and they offer enough variety that we don't get tired of the dishes. Everything is fresh and there are even a few options my 4 and 6 year old will split.
Convenient, good food, easy breezy preparation. Nice selection too. Reasonably priced, free shipping. Comes out to about $10 a meal. Some selections are better than others, my opinion. I have my favorites! However, portions are slightly more than a frozen meal... So add a side salad or desert to satisfy your hunger.
I like Freshly because it makes my life easier. When I get home from work, I don't have to think about what I'm going to make for dinner - just determine which meal I'm going to heat up. It helps me keep track of calories and I'm losing weight! My only concern is the amount of sodium. Any chance you can lower that?
Thank you for the positive feedback, Monica! I'm very happy to hear you have been enjoying the meals, and we have made it easy for you to keep track of your health goals! We do add a bit of sea salt to the meals, but otherwise, the sodium is from what is naturally occurring in the ingredients. It's largely from seasonings and marinades that we use.
We just lowered the overall sodium content (with a goal of 600mg per meal, on average), and plan to start introducing some specifically low-sodium meals in the future!

Delivery is convenient! I love the way they packed the food and I am happy about it. The taste of food is over my expectation, so I give a thumb-up.
The reason why I took one star off is because the food is not healthy. Saturated fat is pretty high in every option. Even they try to balance it off with protein... you can still sauce and seasoning everywhere. As a person who constantly train myself, I am sure the nutrition is not good enough.
However, I don't complain if the taste of food is yum. You always have to compromise something. Right?

Freshly = excellent! Love the food. Quality ingredients with a focus on healthy diet rather than just taste, low in fat and sugar. Delivery system is perfect, price is good. Customer service is very friendly and responsive. Glad to see the meatloaf back on the menu - nice one!
Only real problem is the way the menu changes every month. Fav meals are removed, others are altered and not always for the better. Would appreciate a permanent menu, with a few rotating options. Option to customize meals and sides would be a great addition for the future.

I called because I had some confusion around shipping and delivery notices. Trex was very friendly and had a calming manner with just a hint of humor. He explained everything and even went further to adjust my date of receipt so I could truly have time to sample and decide if this system would work for me. He is simply the best.

I have been ordering Freshly for about a month now. The food is delicious and such an easy dinner after a long day at work! I was nervous that a pre-made meal might be too small and leave me hungry, but the portions are perfect! I highly recommend!

I am very happy with choosing Freshly. All dinners so far truly taste homemade. My only complaint would be the overuse of the spice ( I believe it's) fennel. In some meals it over powers the taste of the food. This is just my personal opinion. The customer service dept is awesome, they bend over backwards to fix any issues that might arise.
Primary reason we use Freshly is the convenience, no prep or cleaning. Food quantity is good. Quality is good for most meals. Need a guide on heating two meals at same time (how much added time recommended). Would like to see more food options every couple of months.

If I had to rate the quality, selection, taste, etc., it would be 5 stars. However, when I have to spend an hour on the phone when the package is mis-delivered, that defeats the whole purpose of the service. It seems I'm not the only one, and management better start making changes because you will loose myself and other customers very quickly!

We had two of our meals this week from our last delivery and did not particularly like it. I had ordered the same meal for next week and quickly wanted to change after seeing my confirmation. I got on the chat and Diana S was super helpful and made sure she got my change corrected! Really wonderful service all around - took less than 3 minutes

There are 2 areas that could use improvement: 1) more meals to choose from. I am one person and eat these for lunch and dinner some days, so I get bored with some of the same meals. 2) I have received several meals that expire too soon after receipt.
For these reasons, I've thought about skipping weeks or cancelling sooner than expected.
I had thought this new trend of meals delivered to the house might be a great idea. I started with the 9 meal pack at $50. I have only eaten two of these 9 meals. They taste awful. I tried the Jerk Chicken and the Chicken Livorno and they were both way over-spiced with just a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad taste. For the price of $10 or $11 each you would do much better buying from the frozen Dept of your local grocery store at 1/3 the price and way better taste. I can't believe how horrible these tasted. The other 7 are going into the garbage when I get home from work tonight.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. As we continue to grow we will have plans to offer even more variety as well!

However, you can select to skip weeks, or cancel your subscription at anytime! Our meals are generally high protein, high healthy fat, low carb, low sugar. We use unprocessed ingredients free from hormones or added sugars, and never use chemical preservatives. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. First, preheat your oven to 350° F. Transfer your food to an oven-safe dish (don't forget to scrape the sauce out of the tray!) and cover the top in tin foil. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. We can deliver Tuesday-Saturday in Southern Illinois--deliveries can occur between 8am-9pm depending on the carriers route for the day. Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
