One of the only services out there that does everything for you. It's so convenient having dinner for the week all set. I've referred a few friends so the cost gets a discount. You never have to leave your home, which is great especially with how difficult it may be to go out these days. Some meals were amazing and hit the spot, others didn't quite hit the mark but it still tasted good. One of my favorite things is the app. It is so well organized and I love being able to edit/skip meals for the next several weeks and rate meals that I have received.
Even though I have had to cancel my subscription, I just want to confirm that it has absolutely nothing to do with the menu/food, or the fine customer service that I've experienced with freshly. Hopefully I'll be back, but if I'm not it won't be because of anything y'all have done wrong.:-)

I have enjoyed most of my meals. Certainly easy to microwave... and is a Big Deal to me as a busy grandma/worker. Also, the good ones taste like they are chef-cooked and then frozen, so better than a frozen dinner from store.
I had one that did not look good, they should work on its appearance.

I have a long commute and get home late. By the time I get home, I don't want to spend a half hour or more cooking dinner only to go to bed soon after. Then I found Freshly and it fit my needs perfectly. I come home and heat up a fresh, healthy meal and eat it instead of stopping for fattening fast food. Now Freshly may be more expensive than fast food, but it is so much better for me. I've also liked all the meals I've tried so far and will continue to order from Freshly until my commute isn't so horrid. Thanks for a great service.
It sounded and looked like a great idea. They even ask your preferences: Do you like beef? Pork? Chicken? Fish? Shellfish? But every week you get to choose between 30 meals - 90% based on a chicken breast with some sauce and mushy rice or veggies that have little taste.
There are NO fish or shellfish meals - so why did they ask?
And I found only one beef meal and two shredded pork meals - the rest were chicken, chicken and more chicken.
The worst part is the meal choices seldom vary. You get the same choices week after week.
This company had a great idea, but they crapped out when it came to providing actual quality and variety. So unless you enjoy the basically same meal repeated night after night - don't waste your money.

The meal preferences is for ingredients you're wanting to avoid in case you have allergies, in that case then there will be a warning icon for any meals that include the ingredient you had selected! I order four meals (minimum) through their initial sign-up offer. For the past few weeks I have tried Blue Apron and Plated and been happy with both - and thought that Freshly would be a fine alternative when time is short! What I got was four small meals in plastic trays that I could have picked up at the grocery store for a third of the cost. Each meal was loaded in saturated fat, trans-fat and sodium - and the taste was no great shakes. I immediately cancelled my subscription.

We are a paleo-inspired diet that utilizes healthy fats (think eggs, coconut oil, avocado oil) for numerous health benefits while avoiding the scary, detrimental ones (think french fries, pizza).
Although our meals do arrive in BPA and chemical free plastic containers, we do provide directions to heat the meals on a plate, or in an oven!
The food is great (IF you receive it on your scheduled delivery date or one day late). My last several orders have been 3 to 5 days late (no longer edible). Freshly acts like this is unusual yet it keeps happening. I'm sure the delivery varies depending on where you live. But it has been very disappointing for me.

I liked freshly (food was decent enough to pay for the convenience) until two weeks ago. I moved into a new apartment only 20 minutes from my old one (not a major location change) and suddenly for two weeks my orders just have not arrived and Lasership, the delivery company, falsely writes that the package has been delivered.
Trust me, no one in my building wants to steal my box of food (i live in a very nice building). Are the people from lasership enjoying my weekly meals?
This is unacceptable. I was given a credit (for two weeks in a row) but after that I will be stopping my orders because this is absurd.

My first week on freshly I lost ten pounds and dropped a inch and half of my waist, just eating the meals and no working out! Eventually I plan on adding moderate exercise with this program. I also noticed I have not had any digestive issues at all which is a blessing! As well as I feel full and no need to binge eat after already eating.
Truly grateful for this program, not to mention people at my work in the lunch room have been asking"mmm what smells so good".

I order Freshly meals occasionally for my grandmother who is 96 and unable to cook for herself all the time. This week we accidentally neglected to skip our meals which we needed to do, due to unexpected expenses for some home repair emergencies at my grandmother's home. I reached out without thinking I would be able to receive a refund but was quickly contacted by Toni F. And assured that my refund was on the way. Very pleasantly surprised as I had already decided I would cover the expense as it was our mistake. It was very kind and prompt. I truly appreciate the level of customer service.

Food overall is very good and tasty, and arrives nice and cold on my hot, Texas porch when promised. Very impressively packed, with environmentally smart materials. I just wish there were more items to choose from on the menu. We are hooked on Freshly!
I've been using Freshly for several weeks now. Finding a meal delivery service that understands dietary restrictions, and that gluten free should not equal cardboard-y tasting stuff has been refreshing. Freshly meals have become my go-to option for lunches during the work week since my workplace cafeteria does not offer many healthy options and the gluten free option is salad, and we don't have a lot of restaurants nearby with better options. It is really simple for me to heat the meals in the microwave and I've got a good lunch! The app makes it simple to update my preferences each week. Delivery has been on time without issue. My only wish is that there was a way to somehow send back the packing material to be re-used in shipments, but given the challenges with that, I think Freshly does a pretty good job of reducing the true waste in the shipments, making packing materials recyclable/non-toxic.

Always arrives timely and very well packaged! I've been away when the box has arrived and left outside overnight. Even the next day everything is still very cold. And I live in South Carolina where the days are getting very hot! Great prep, portions and taste! My hats off to you all!

I love the meals and portions. This is keeping me honest by eating a lot healthier in general. Also I had a terrible habit of eating out almost daily, I spend less money enjoy the food just as much if not more than what I would buy going out and I end up spending less in general. I have enjoyed the meals that I have chosen so far. At first, I thought that this might be too expensive of an option but by cutting down how much I go out for less nutritious meals, I find that it is worth it. I like having no dishes left to deal with and being able to recycle the packages. The customer support was great when there was an error on my order and they were very accommodating in correcting it.

We will either remove an item and replace with something new, update the recipe on a current item or just add an item without removing one. Just keep in mind that our meals have a shelf life of about 5 days unless frozen. 3 - Pick your delivery day from the available dates! You can certainly reheat our meals in a conventional oven, however, our current meal containers are not safe for the oven or stove-top, so you'll have to transfer your food to heat it up. Heat for 25-35 minutes, remove foil, and let sit 3-5 minutes, then transfer to your choice of plate or bowl and enjoy! (Keep in mind, heating times are approximate. Answer: I've been getting mine in on time, but I assume as with all packages going through USPS, UPS, and FedEx right now, things have been backed up since COVID and only getting worse. So it's not Freshly's fault even if they aren't delivered on time.
