Thank you for the quick and smooth process for preferred batch. Mr. Jonny cleared all the answers and provided all the information to understand the program rules. Thanks again.
We just completed the onboarding process for the Preferred Freelancer Program on Freelancer.com with Jonny, and it was an excellent experience. Jonny was professional, knowledgeable, and clear in his communication. He thoroughly explained the requirements and promptly addressed all our questions with precision and patience. His attention to detail and commitment to ensuring a smooth onboarding process made the entire experience seamless and highly informative.
Its been a very good experience using freelancer so far. The proposals are easy to manage and overall operating mechanism is also very simple and easy to understand. The overall workflow from making proposals to delivering projects is quite streamlined and user friendly. Thanks you very much! My special Thanks to Russell V. for providing clear insight in getting verified process and also helping to register as a corporate. Thanks Russell.
I've had a good experience with a Freelancer staff named "Andrei M.", They were so helpful with me during the customer support live chat. They were able to resolve my issue that I have been dealing with for a long time.
I recently went through the freelancer verification process, and I must say, it was a smooth and professional experience. The team was prompt, courteous, and supportive throughout the entire process. They asked insightful questions that allowed me to showcase my skills and experience effectively. Their attention to detail and understanding of my work background made the process feel fair and transparent. I appreciate the opportunity to be verified and look forward to leveraging this for more professional growth. Highly recommend their service to other freelancers!
I want to give a big shoutout to Danette O for being absolutely amazing! Their support has really made a difference for me, and I'm so thankful for all their help. You're the best, Danette!
Danette O is amazing! I enjoy chatting with him and appreciate all the help he gives me.
Had ran through a problem regarding my IP address being blocked by the site without any notice. Luckily i had a chance talking to a freelancer agent which immediately took care of my problem, and within minutes (or less) i got back to my freelancer account again. Thank you agent for your immediate assistance.
I asked support for several information about a project that had been assigned to me, being a new member and not fully familiar with the platform. They were very clear, patient and thoroug.
Had negative balance which I wasn't aware how it ended up in my account thanks to Nicola from the freelance support team I got help and everything is going on smoothly at the moment.

I had a smooth onboarding experience with the Preferred Freelancer Program. The process was clear, and Jonny guided me through every step professionally. I'm excited to be part of this program and look forward to new opportunities. Thanks to the team for their support!
I truly love this platform. What started as a part-time activity has completely transformed my life. It has grown into a full-time career, and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunities it has provided.
I sincerely appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving my concern regarding the withdrawal and currency exchange issue. Thank you for ensuring that my $400 was exchanged at the same rate of 50,263.89 BDT, as initially charged.
Your effort in addressing this matter fairly and efficiently means a lot, and I am grateful for your support in helping me recover my hard-earned money.
It was super excellent experience. On time, ping followed a call and asking thoroughly all the questions and at the same times giving insights about the badge.
I'm writing this to warn every freelancer out there: DO NOT trust Freelancer. Com with your time or money. I worked for days on a Python script optimization task, delivered the full work, and the client released the milestone. I was paid and everything was completed professionally. Three months later, I randomly checked my balance and found £200 was reversed from my account — with no notification, no warning, and no chance to dispute it. When I contacted support, they told me the client's account was closed due to a violation, and so the funds were returned to the client! Let that sink in: They took back money I RIGHTFULLY earned and returned it to a banned user. They charged me platform fees, took their cut, and then washed their hands. Their "compensation"? Refund my fees and give me a useless 1-month Plus membership. Nothing close to the value of the work I lost. Freelancer. Com claims to protect freelancers, but in reality: You can lose your money MONTHS after completing work. They offer zero protection when a scammer gets banned. They punish the honest freelancer instead of taking responsibility. This is theft, plain and simple. If their system allowed a scammer to pay, get the work, and vanish — why am I being punished for their failure? Why are you hosting projects with unverified, unsafe clients and letting honest workers suffer the consequences? Freelancers: STAY AWAY from Freelancer. Com. You are not safe here. Your hard work can be stolen, and they'll simply shrug and tell you it's "out of their control."
Clients: If you value skilled freelancers, go somewhere that protects them. If you're thinking of signing up, think again.
I want to sincerely thank Jonny from the Freelancer support team for his outstanding assistance in granting me the Preferred Freelancer badge. His professionalism, responsiveness, and support made the process smooth and hassle-free. I truly appreciate his efforts in recognizing my work, and this badge motivates me to continue delivering top-quality services. Kudos to Jonny for his excellent support!
I accidentally added two deposits to my account and Danette O. Was able to quickly resolve the issue and get the duplicate cancelled without any problems.

Danette O was very helpful she explain clearly and can solve my problems. Thumb up/
Answer: It is a PR platform that enables scammers to appear legitimate or verified. Freelancer doesn't care. They get a sizeable commission no matter if the posting is legitimate or not. Example: A fake ebook listing. Needs author to write 50000 words for US$ 2000. Unwitting freelancer bids and is 'awarded project' with message saying hurry up and accept. Once accepted, freelancer takes 'project fee' while you get tied up in their help callcenter trying to recoup not only the fee but potentially the fake employer gleaned from you using their platform. This site will be in the news soon. Trust me.
Answer: Hi Dejan. This happened to me in 2014, I lost a lot of money too, I withdrew the money on a Wednesday after the client had paid me $1000 in full. Then the next day, Thursday, I got a message that my withdrawal request was cancelled and the money reversed back to employer. My account was suspended and when I asked why, I was told that the employer looked like he was fraudulent and that the money might be fraud. Up to date, I am still bitter, angry and sad over that $1000 but I never got it back and Freelancer closed the person's account and that was that. So I hope this answers some of your questions and I am deeply sorry for your loss after such hard work. All the best
Answer: Freelancer.com focused on employer only, they just want as many employer and project as they can regardless of their country, verification status and deposits. However all the restriction is for employee. This is the reason Freelancer didn't stop them to post project without deposit. Almost 90% projects are fake (either posted by freelancer itself or fake/fraud employers). You have to be careful. Keep following things in mind will prevent you from fraud much. 1. Don't work for Employers from India/Bangladesh/Sri Lanka/Nigeria/Israel 2. Don't work for Employers whose name looks like Indian 3. Once the project is awarded to you, don't accept it unless the employer created initial milestone. Wait for at least 12 hours after milestone creation then accept it. 4. Ask for release step by step, don't work on next milestone unless previous is not released 5. Withdraw money from freelancer as fast as you can.
Answer: You can't say its fake but at the same time you can't just trust it fully. My point here is: people do get things done for the price but when it comes to money/payment, you can not trust freelancer. Sometimes it gets reversed from your account and you won't even get a satisfactory reason for it. I suffered a loss of 900 USD. All I get to hear that employer had some account issues and we can not disclose this any further. If you looking to work as a freelancer, go odesk or upwork and any other site first and then freelancer.com. Small incident: I worked for a client, designed the logo got the parent for it. Next day when looged in, my account showed negative balance ( payment reversed). Support: employer have acc. Issues Client: never came back or responded to any mails. Result: I worked and still in debt.
Answer: Dispute it with PayPal! Another beautiful example of why everyone hates Freelancer.
Answer: Freelancer is scam. I have very bad experience recently. "The payments you've received from your employer "-----------" were reversed due to their account issues. As a result, their account was closed" Lost over 800$. Freelancer also keep the fee for this job! Their support never answer. SCAM
Answer: Agree, do not use credit card details - freelancer is a terrible organisation when it comes to finances - they just debit your card at will, no warning, no opportunity to review the transaction, no notification of the charge - you just find out once you get your bank statement. Be very, very wary of this company - not saying their dodgy, BUT they are very devious when it comes to transactions. I think their motto is - "debit any time, just don't tell them and they wont complain"
Answer: Contact Paypal and file a dispute. I got a refund for the monthly amount that they should not have charged me for.
Answer: Good afternoon Rostyslav, unfortunately this has happened to most users of Freelancer including people who have been awarded projects. Ensure that you do not start any work or event accept a project until the following criteria have been met: 1. Project awarded 2. Initial milestone/deposit created 3. Client agrees to release the first payment immediately after you accepting the project. If they are unable to do this, tell then politely that you are unwilling to start on the project and keep looking for honest, legitimate clients. Be careful at all time on this website, even if you do vey thing by the book and the client still doesn't pay, the Freelancer support team will not help you. It is left to you to contact the client and chase the payment even of they delete their account.
Answer: Don't share you card. Use Paypal. First of all don't use freelancer they are scammers.
