We hired a logo designer to create a logo. Their website indicates that any material which is not original will be pulled off their website and within the actual handover agreement, it highlights that any IP associated to the concept, the designer forfeits ownership upon exchange of money for the design.
Designer has used many attributes of my logo design with many other logo designs subsequently, and when this issue has been presented to Freelancer.com, they have highlighted to address with designer. Then when questioned further, they have advised to again go back to the designer. Further questioning, they have indicated that they will investigate. Response was, yes its clear that the designer has used similar attributes of my design in other designs and can be found all over the internet... apparently, i then questioned why aren't they taking any responsibility in removing or taking greater action in protecting intellectual property.
DON'T TRUST THESE SCAMMERS, THE MONEY YOU ARE SPENDING IS A WASTE OF TIME FOR UNORIGINAL MATERIAL AND NO PROTECTION WHATSOEVER.

I have been with freelancer a quite a while now. I was happy before but recently no one was able to help, 1st - support people has poor customer service... does not help at all instead would just tell you what happened and that's it or tell you the FAQ (if it's just FAQ, I won't bother looking for a live support). 2nd they post an Incomplete project without rating me or me rate the employer because I cancelled this, I experienced being harassed by an employer when I decide not to continue because he was giving unusual decisions time frames and from time to time he change his instruction and do not stick to what we agreed about. I lost the dispute but I don't care, I just want him reprimanded for his false accusation about my family plus cursing and etc but no - freelancer did not do anything, just told me just block the person so he will not bother you but still that employer created a new project just to bother me through messages... I reported it again but nothing was solved still and is not fair to do this on the employees end. (without the good freelancer employees no one will go to Freelancer to hire someone). Now 3rd - my feedbacks are not posting on my profile and all they say the employers did not make yet the feedback when the employer confirmed themselves and confirmed he/she got a message informing he/she already made a feedback when she tried to make the feedback again but the support insist the employer did not make any feedback. Tired of dealing with their support which you will be going in circles. I don't know what's going on with Freelancer but my good experience is slowly going down to drain of this poor service and poor communication and not fair judgement/rules now. I feel there is no protection or fair rules for the people working on the job when in fact they also get rip off fees from us too.
Membership fee refunded. Resolved my membership issue.
