“From my perspective”

What I see often is that posters like the rest of every one else makes choices and some times those choices are not wise. As to many of the people who reply to questions some may not be Lawyers but have reasonable knowledge of how to accomplish legal goals BUT in all honesty many issues require a Lawyer because they are just too complicated for a net forum. BTW I know the moderator does in deed admonish users who have not followed the rules since I was admonished regarding a reply. In my past.

This place is a cesspool! If you want to be degraded, bullied, ridiculed, insulted and if you dare to speak up, banned, the site is perfect! There's nothing legal about the whole thing and the site is used to push people towards sleazy lawyers that pay them to be advertised. Protect your privacy and never share information with anyone from that site! I was literally told to go kill myself by a "volunteer"!

It's almost mostly the same people answering your questions a bunch of nasty bullies you're always wrong and nothing else it's just a waste of time talking to them they are of no help. If you want someone to argue with this is the place for you. CBG northern girl, zigner, ohiogal, steer clear of these people.

These folks are a click of toxic bullies. Not sure who the moderators are but if you put one of the legal experts' in their place, your post will likely be deleted. It's not a forum where credentials are verified nor is it there as a means to facilitate productive and enriching conversations.

I have asked a couple of questions on this forum and every time I get a response members always try and judge my post and they never answer my questions until I demand that they do. They always state that I believe there is more to this story your not telling me. In my past post I had a senior member who stated that my statements supported by evidence are opinions everything that he said was not supported by any evidence and was based solely on his feelings. https://forum.freeadvice.com/threads/what-to-do-if-a-company-destroys-video-evidence.*******/ https://forum.freeadvice.com/threads/can-illegally-obtained-evidence-be-used-in-the-absence-of-evidence.*******/

Tip for consumers:
When you ask a question never respond with the users if that ask you for more infomation.

Disgusting power hungry members. Probably, some losers who do not have any customers in real life and want to feel themselves valuable there. Some member 24/7 there and clearly don; t have a real quality life. The site is. Absolutely no productive or helpful and waste of time. Instead of answering the question, they will behave like some jerks asking the stupidest questions not related to questions. Plus, they disrespectful re. Your privacy when you ask to delete the question you found an answer. They will not do it. Let you feel there like you a prisoner who doesn't have any rights what to do with own posts. 0 stars from me.

So I signed up as Insane Jane thinking that nobody would bother with free internet advice from an Insane Jane. Well the senior members accuse everybody of being guilty or wrong. Maybe 09% of the info is correct.
Most of the threads are written by 3 of the seniors. It's so obvious when you ask them a simple question and they can't answer it.

Tip for consumers:
The odds of getting good advice are slim but possible. If it is good advice the senior members will jump on the one that gave the good advice.
They make most of their $ from google adds that my computer blocks. I was blocking hundreds of them every hour I was connected to them.

This site takes down positive reviews of companies. I watch my company's online presence and we had three customers write positive reviews and they removed them and then dropped us down. 5 stars. They also allow inaccurate information all over this site. It's not credible!

There are a handful of people who give out advice. From what I can discern it's mostly judgment about the poster and less advice. I think there are few good gems buried in all the junk.

I responded to a thread that was more than a few years old. The responder was aggressive and rude. The thread was closed out within an hour of my posting to it! It's kind of insane to see that level of acrimony. I was debating whether or not I should post a question but I changed my mind after that experience and after reading their reviews here.

I think anyone is better off just calling a lawyer and get a free consult. These legal internet forums are just platforms for an insult :p

Unless you're doing research on cyber attacks and bullying, because the forum is run by a horde of "senior members," whose sole purpose is to personally attack people, no matter the moral content of the question. In many cases, moderated forums would not tolerate such behavior, but on freeadvice.com, the moderator is ineffective. They took down the thread I posted when requested, but it appears, they are doing nothing about the horde, because they continue to attack innocent posters for no reason other than they are pitiful people that can.

Was hoping to get a serious evaluation of what people would think that a judge would decide in my case. The "senior" members just repeatedly posted personal attacks and reworded each of my posts in order to suit their own illogical replies. Complete incompetent idiocy.

One senior member literally posted, "What OTHER driver? And what exactly do you mean by liability in favor of? You already said that Geico determined that the other driver was 100% at fault." They posted this after I wrote an entire paragraph talking about the driver of the vehicle that collided with mine. And another paragraph talking about how GEICO determined liability in favor of the other driver.

I tried creating a thread for an issue at work. I decided she was singling me out and being a psychopath for finding every thing wrong with my work. I decided to switch to the evening schedule to get away from her. Alone and behold it all stopped. I was right.

I posted a thread regarding this issue at work and the responses were very unprofesisonal, rude, discriminating and belittling. I replied to them and have personal experience dealing with others. So I started to poke around on the website and answer questions. The next thing I know the admin of the site is threatening me with vulgar language to delete my account. Stating that I over stepped my boundaries. No where in your contract agreement does it say that this place is NOT a form website. To your legalize I am within legal contract agreement. My posts are 10 times more polite than the jerk holes replying to them.

This is not a professional website and I regret giving them my real email. This place does not know that I studied law for a bit on my own because I enjoyed it. This place does not know that I have dealt with friends and family members in certain situations and we had to hire a lawyer and get professional legalize. Next thing I know is that the admin is calling me an ignoramus with vulgar threats and treating me like a jack a**. Sorry pal I'm of a protected class and my mental disability can cause for lawsuit if it's more than a one time occurrence. Be forewarned.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS PLACE IT IS A SCAM. Go to a real lawyer!

I'd really give this annoying, useless site -5 stars! I asked a question and all the usual idiots came out of the woodwork -

Ohiogal (I agree with the other poster about this loser being an unloved cat lady, LOL),

Zigner (a full of himself jerk who gives terrible advice)

Blue Meanie (Who I affectionately called, "BM" as in Bowel Movement)

And on and on. Don't expect any advice from this band of jokers. They obviously have NO lives and NO brains to boot.

For those of you wronged - I got some good revenge on them by calling out their idiocy over and over, with some good insults in the mix.

I asked advice about visitation with my sons drug addicted father and the people on this site just basically shamed me for my situation. One especially hostile user named OhioGAL - A GUARDIAN AD LIDEM literally mocked me for "spreading my legs" to this person, acted like my son being in danger was my punishment for this mistake, and criticized me for not having an abortion. Seriously- if this person really is a guardian ad litem- I'm disgusted they would let this person around anyones kids, let alone "advocate" or "represent" them in a custody case. I wanted to puke after visiting this site. Then I went to AVVO where the people are actually professional because they can't hide behind anonymity and got STILL HONEST AND STRAIGHT FORWARD advice but not hostile, mockery. They were totally wrong. The guy is back on drugs, just got two duis, and I was told my EVERY OTHER lawyer to do the opposite of what they said. Just go to Avvo, justia, or any other legal advice site, better yet, bite the bullet and get a free consultation with a real lawyer. The people on freeadvice.com are just vindictive jerks with superiority complex that like to use the posters that come seeking advice as toys for their entertainment and to help boost their own egos.

I wish I could give this site no stars. This isn't a legal advice site, this is an alternate site for grownups that bully 8 years olds on YouTube site. I was harassed and stalked by a senior member because I wouldn't explain my moral standing (when I had explained thoroughly) on my post. She was maybe just not smart enough to finish reading the answer? When I say stalked I mean this stranger followed me for 2 days responding to every post I made with "go to Yahoo, you don't fit in here. This isn't an advice column, this is a real legal advice page" Then shared her entire story of her childhood in a post that was irrelevant to anything - ever. Ok... Really weird to say the least. I erased everything and am awaiting a deactivation- I don't want these jokers anywhere near my personal information. What a scam. It was like a hellish version of anonymous high school with grownups acting like 8 years old bullies. I'd stay away if you want real advice have a free consultation.

Absolutely terrible website. They twist and turn little things you wright (that have nothing to do with your question) and try to make you sound like a fool.
Not one "senior" member is nice or gives advice.
Here are the worst and I mean worst advice givers on this site
Ohiogal-the worst and probably a lonely person. Lives at home with 3 cats and overweight
Proserpina
Ohroadwarrior
Flyingron
Sliverplum

These users like to follow each other around and like each other's posts. They hang as a team and 90% of the time make fun of the new user.

I posted a question on the website seeking some advise and what I got was far from that. The response I got for my question was far from insight full and rude. What I have read in some of the other reviews about the members being insensitive and giving little to no legal insight is true. Nothing but a bunch of cyber bullies that will go to any length to make you feel sorry you even tried to get help from the site. The person who said you were better off going to google first is correct, and I was actually advised by some of the senior members that I could've found my answer by just using my favorite search engine to research it. So, why have a place that offers free advise, but their senior members will jump at the chance to tell you that you didn't need them in the first place. It is a waste of time.

Nothing but emotionally adolescent idiots taking advantage of web-anonymity to be exactly that. The behavior's little better than what you see on many Youtube comments pages. Spare yourself the personal attacks that most of them enjoy, and don't post there.

Someone posted the forum question "does unemployment show up on a background check?"

I posted the following link to the Maryland Unemployment Website page.
https://www.dllr.state.md.us/AppealsOnlineSearch/web/content/Home.aspx
This link shows that if a background searcher can access someone's unemployment records and all they need is the person's social security number.

The next day I was informed that I was banned from freeadvice.com for "unspecified reasons" and the date the ban will be lifted is "never".
