What a Joke
August 28, 2022

My husband went through this company they had a store inside the grocery store, got me a wedding ring and since they sent it to get sauntered together, the under part of a supposed be gold ring is flaking off. They are a huge joke and for the money they charge you, they should be sticking inside a bubble gum machine game for kids to play with, Would NOT recommend them to anyone

The checkout staff is friendly and works hard. Management should be ashamed. Get them some help! The last 3 visits to the Shoreline, WA store have had lines so long down the aisle people couldn't shop. I've reached my limit. I'll just shop at my local Safeway for a few dollars more. They still employ enough cashiers for decent customer service.

Fred Meyer corporate employees are some of the biggest crooks you'll ever find. When Fred Meyer makes a mistake that costs you hundreds or thousands of dollars, they won't take responsibility. They screw up an order and leave us with damaged merchandise costing us many tens of thousands of dollars and they refuse to own up to their mistakes. Please don't shop at Fred Meyer. Don't support these crooks. There are other supermarkets that do treat their customers responsibly, kindly, and fairly. If you shop at Fred Meyer you are only supporting the bad guys that wrong customers and don't own up to their mistakes because all Fred Meyer and Kroger cares about is money. Dennis Gibson, Jeff Burt, and Lynn Gust, the presidents and leaders of Fred Meyer, and the rest of the corporate team at Fred Meyer are nothing, but crooks with no moral compass. They owe us a lot of money.

A manager named Candy at the Yakima Fred Meyer does not have the temperament to be a manager. I witnessed her deal very rudely with different customers. It was hard watching the affect she had on one customer in particular.

Every time we visit that store it's a nightmare! There prices are never right! They never have the things that are on sale! And there customer service is nonexistent. They treat us like crap. Safeway is up the street and winco just opened. I guess I'll be taking my business to them from now on! Screw Fredmeyer!

We double check items at Fred Meyer because it's usually expired. We bought crackers and found out it was a year old and another item we bought was 2 years old so we returned them both and let them know.

PANDEMIC ORICE GOUGING

I used to buy my toilet tissue at Fred Meyer for $9.99 plus tax for 35 rolls, LITERALLY b4 COVID-19. Then, the same $9.99 pack went to about 24 rolls. NOW, they're still asking $9.99 for 12 rolls. It was literally cut in half. Meaning, we now get half of what we used to for the same price. SHAME ON KROGER! I'LL be going to WinCo and using Amazon thanks to this and now that Amazon offers food and even takes SANP, there's no reason to have to give in to this obvious rip off. It's not just me who noticed. A man in the aisle was looking at the EXACT same thing and wondering what happened as well. I advised him to go to WinCo.

I was going to make a complaint. However, seeing what people wrote for their trivial reasons to denigrate a really good company and stores/staff I want to tell you Fred Meyer stepped up Alaska's game when they came in. We now expect fresh products, excellent service and variety in our shopping.
I am shocked with the reasons people wrote for making Fred Meyer less than 2 stars on this site and will most likely doubt any star ratings this site gives in the future.

This is by far my favorite store to shop at. The food is fresh, the customer service rocks, and it's a one stop shop. I earn coupons, cents off per gallon gas each time i shop, the list is endless. I've never had a problem here, because this place never fails to exceed customer expectation.

Got to the 30th and wielder location with 7 minutes before closing (needed to grab cold medicine for my son) and got turned away by the manager at the front door after he let some blonde chick in right before me. What a double bag. I pleaded with him and told him my situation and still got denied entrance. So make sure you get there with a blonde chick if you're gonna show up with a few minutes before closing.

Always out of stuff

Fred Meyer is our largest store next to Walmart! Walmart seems to be able to stock their shelves and have enough unlike Fred Meyer. It would be nice if just once they had all the items they advertise. I can't believe that in our small community they don't have enough. Ridiculous!

I order for delivery and pay a delivery charge. Inevitably, more than 25% of my items are unavailable (yet listed on the website and many times are listed as promotional sale items). This makes the delivery from Fred Meyer less than worth the effort. I will take my business elsewhere.

Worthless Sushi

Overpriced sushi has too much rice and too little protein, and the lack of protein is hidden with a thick disgusting sauce. There was a time when their sushi was awesome but I guess that's over.

I was stuck in line with 1 person ahead of me. This poor woman bought a cart full of Halloween sale items. The system did not give her the sale price and the poor cashier had to manually enter the sales % for each item with the system trying to override him. It was painful to watch and the cashier was very professional as the line lengthened. The woman was over charged $100. And it was obvious management didn't care. The over ride person asked no questions and ran off quickly. I was left with the impression it was typical. Cashier Jeremy was priceless. Vancouver, Wa.

Worse grocery

Fred Meyer worse grocery ever. They usually do not have what I want. They would replace something I don't want or they will run out. They take forever to refund moneys. They need to do better of stocking up on things.

Do you ever get home from the store and find out there's something you paid for but didn't make it into the bag. It only happens to me when I shop at Fred Meyer. It happens several times each year. And when you try to get a replacement it means standing in line at the slow moving customer service counter
Today there was no line but I still stood there waiting while they were chatting about someone who had a dog in the store and they weren't sure if it was a service dog.
Also, when something goes off sale I wish they'd remove the SALE tag. I hate getting home and seeing I paid full price for something I normally wouldn't have bought.
That's it. I'll pay more and shop Whole Foods and New Seasons where they treat you right and know how to run a store.

Coupons
March 19, 2023

They send you a coupon for X amount of dollars off your order if you spend so much. The cashier put that coupon on the bottom of the other coupons I gave her. I had spent the required amount but she scanned the other coupons first and then said I did not spend enough and could not use the coupon. I called and they said they train them to do that. Horrible store and not enough checkers.

They just stopped providing carts for their customers. I guess they want you to bring you own cart!? And now Kroger has launced one of those silly cards. Everything is marked up to full retail before giving you half the difference back when you swipe the card. I'm done with this store. Safeway/Haggan/Albertsons. Until they too merge with Kroger/FredMeyer as planned.

Customer service( front desk@3:50pm) Kelly no no eye contact, no greeting saying she can't hear what i said coz she was eating and talking to fellow employee she responds with non committal or vaque respond employee like that should not be at the customer service she gave a lil effort no other options or steps in helping out customer, she's very rude s focus more on talking to her co employee rather than to her customers —- it happened March 17,2022 around 3:40-3:50ish pm..
