I ordered 2 large framed prints and received them in cheesy plastic frames, not wood. These frames could be bought from a store that deals with low quality plastic frames. There are no picture hooks or screws sent so you are on your own with that. They give you some impossible pieces of metal that for large prints require a level & a professional to mount. Run away from this company & use a more professional reputable company who provide wood frames & easy to install hardware which should already be existing on your frames. Not so. I have 2 large prints now that can't be hung & my options are limited as the frames are cheap plastic. I contacted the company and will update this review when and if I hear from them.
I love the FramedArt.com store! Here I found the perfect paintings for my home that will add comfort and style to the interior. The quality of the print and frame is simply top-notch, every detail is thought out to the smallest detail. Fast delivery and excellent service only improved my shopping experience. Thank you FramedArt.com for your excellent selection and professional customer service. I will definitely recommend this store to all my friends and acquaintances!
I purchased several (6) framed prints for my office at work. They were national park themed and I have to say that they are very high quality. Easy to order and selection was fantastic, Order arrived in timely manner also. Reasonable prices for the items. Shipping was a bit expensive (almost $15)
I must say I am extremely disappointed with these three prints I received! I've ordered over a 1000 dollars worth of prints from FramedArt.com and these last three look horrible. Each one shows waves in the print like the print got wet then dried and then you framed it and sent it to me! I sent pics but it looks way worse in person. I'm very disappointed with these and will never buy from them again. I still have a full basement to put pictures in but it won't be with their prints if their work and products are this cheap
Yesterday I received my order from framedart.com. I couldn't believe that on the right side of the picture the mat does not lie flat. It's almost as if something is under the matting lifting it up. I ordered this product based on the positive reviews of the company but I guess whoever did the final inspection of my piece didn't pay much attention to make sure it was properly done. I have to wait until Monday when Customer Service is open to get my return going. I am also upset that, according to their return policy, I have to pay the return postage. I put good faith in this company that I would receive a quality product and I feel they should send a shipping label as it was their fault for the return. I would never buy from them again.
I got my first order from Framedart.com today. The packaging was atrocious. No damage to the box but the glass is in 50 pieces. The packaging is nothing but a thin layer of bubble wrap around the picture in a box that is way too big for it. There is no structural cardboard inside the box to stop the picture from moving around. Customer service did replace the item but I have to wait another 10-14 days and I have zero confidence that it will arrive undamaged.
My picture was delivered broken in an open box. I tried to replace it, which requires an RMA number first. Many phone calls and two e-mails from me didn't reach a response. Live chat does not work. I'm very disappointed. Beware!
First purchase. Purchased 5 framed prints for approximately $600. Print quality good. However, quality of frames unacceptable for this price point. Frame material not wood or metal, but plastic - very cheap. In addition, frame assembly shoddy. Overall impression - disappointed. I would not recommend purchasing framed art from framedart.com. The quality of framing detracts from the enjoyment of the print.
Caution to prospective buyer to choose wisely because they charge s/h per item and do not pay return s/h for refunds. I chose two prints that were too similar to display together and returned one print. UPS charges more than the cost of the print to ship it back. USPO charged $2 less to ship it back. I did return it and purchased another print from the same artist that was a little different. They arrived rolled tightly and did take some time to flatten in order to spray and mount for framing. Other sellers have shipped print to me shrink-wrapped to a piece of cardboard. That way there are no wrinkles and curls to deal with. With all the s/h costs included, I invested less than $50 and matted/framed the 12x12 prints myself with nice old matching thrift store frames. Saved quite a bit of money and they look B+. Will buy from them again.
I bought a 40"x32" picture and thought it was an oil painting, I was shocked when I received a framed poster picture. Who in the world would pay $425.96 for a framed and matted poster?... I returned it in the original packaging and paid $108.00 to ship it back and they only credited me $355.97, with that being said they made $177.99 off of me and I have nothing to show for it. That picture was only worth about $85.00 in my eyes only because the framing was done really well. I can go down the street and buy an oil painting just as big for about $200.00 that would look amazing. I will never purchase anything from this company again, so be sure what you are getting before you hit the order button.
Beware, they show non-glare glass as an option for your frame. You can order it and they will charge you for it. However they will ship non-glare ACRYLIC, aka plastic, in the frame. Upon receipt I called the company and was told that non-glare glass had been discontinued. But no indication of that on the ordering website. A very DECEITFUL business practice.
So the option is "discontinued", but you can order it and we will charge you for it. And if you don't notice, T.S. On your part! I did notice it immediately and called and to their was given a refund the next day.
This is a classic case of Buyer Beware!
I ordered 3 framed prints and when they finally arrived, one had dents in the frame and the other two were put together so sloppy that the corners didn't line up. This wasn't a small amount, one corner was 1/4" off. I called and had to send pictures and they gave me a RMA#. I shipped them out and finally had a refund for less than a third of the total which was almost $400. I emailed them back and eventually got a second refund but not for the full cost. None of the damage was on my part or shipping, it was all them yet they won't refund me what I paid
My comments echo much of what others have written. A couple of months ago, I ordered three framed prints from this company. When they arrived, I was dismayed at the quality of workmanship. The frames were flimsy plastic and the quality of reproduction left much to be desired. Thus, I returned the items in good condition, but the company deducted $38.00 for shipping costs. When I returned the box, I only paid $18.00 USPS. I emailed FrameArt today and they refused any additonal refund. For a company that touts its excellent service, it certainly failed to live up to this promise. I will never order from them again. From now on I'm ordering directly from the museum that has the provenance.
Prior to placing my order for a picture, I spoke with a customer service representative who advised me about glass options, I ordered non-glare instead of the clear glass upon his recommendation. The picture was delivered and is beautiful; however, the non-glare glass significantly distorts the beauty of the picture. I now have to pay to send the picture back and will be responsible for the cost to re-ship the picture back to me after the glass has been changed. Please be advised about the lack of knowledge and expertise of their customer service representatives which could ultimately require a return for correction. I'll never do business with this company again! You shouldn't do business with Framed Art either!
1. Package took longer than quoted to arrive.
2. Package arrived, packaging looked fine. Upon opening up 3 of the four corners were broken.
3. Called number provided. Recording said no one to take your call because we are busy, leave your number.
4. No one called back.
5. Started live chat, sent pictures. Stayed on line for 3 hours, no one came on live chat.
6. Sent email with pictures. Still have not received reply.
Received my art and it is the wrong color and very grainy. Looked into returning but with all the shipping costs (return shipping is paid for by the customer), I'd be paying them so much additional money, I'd get almost no return on the poor quality item. Please do not waste your money buying from this company.
Purchased a framed print, looked nice, hung it in our dining room. Months later, observed some wrinkles along the top of print (you had to look at the right angle since it is under plexiglass). Took it down to examine closer and saw a lot more waves across print. Contacted the company, sent photos, they ultimately refused to fix it or give me a refund, due to expiration of 30 days. Since I paid over $400.00 I am very upset that they won't stand behind their product. This was in May of this year, 2020. Since then I have removed the print from the frame and found the print to be full of waves and not attached to anything to keep it flat. In fact, the cardboard backing also has waves across it. What a waste of money. What a disappointment in this company. Holly A.
I ordered two prints. The quality of the reproduction is very low, blurry, and the frames are cheap plastic. One of the frames flexes and no doubt if I hang it, over time the frame will bow down. Awful product all the way around. The prints look like ones you'd skip over in a garage sale for $5. I'm in publishing so I recognize printing quality. The website shows "50% off," but the products are always on sale so don't fall for that gimmick. They accept returns, but that's expensive. You don't get the $35 to $45 in shipping to you refunded, and you have to pay shipping back to framedart.com, so a return, in my case anyway, will be $70 to $90. I thought I'd save money over buying from art.com, but art.com products are high quality, the frames are wood, the paper is top quality, the printing is crisp, and they have free shipping, so you don't save anything at framedart.com. Oh, be sure to read the fine print about returns. To return your art to framedart.com you have to put it in the original packing, include the packing slip, call for a return authorization, and insure it. If you don't insure it and the glass cracks or the frame falls apart (real possibility), you don't get a refund. Despite the hassle and expense, I'm returning my prints tomorrow.
No longer good selection of prints, poor quality, and prints arrive with packaging bends that don't come out. No longer a customer.
I ordered three framed Renoir prints and they are beautiful. It was very easy to hang them in our living room. The website is very easy to navigate and they have thousands of works to browse through. The shipping was seamless. You can trust this excellent online company
Answer: Yes, any printer can do a better job for less. Office Depot or any local printer - I could have gotten a quality giclee done in Oregon for this price.
