The perfect solution for me. I buy mainly Pokemon items from the Pokemon Centers in UK and US. As an English collector from Switzerland, it's not that easy to get to stuff. My experience with Forward2me is fantastic. I had only one damaged product (repacking damage) and after getting in touch with Forward2Me, the complete amount was refunded to me. The value of the products as well as the service fees from Forward2Me. It's always a headache, if something goes missing or is damaged. But when the service is on this level, it really helps. Overall good but… Not worth it because of the price, even though the shipping and everything was fast. Otherwise very happy about the shipping times and the state of the package.
-unnecessary high costs for repacking (unpacking perfectly pacakged vinyl records into a box with loose items - vinyl records end up being damaged!)
-"repacking" is simply putting items in a big box -limited amount of delivery rates

I used the Tax free warehouse to forward my shipment, just to find out that the shipping fee is double the order value with no option to return the order to avoid the exuberant fees.

The Tax Free warehouse, and we'd like to clarify its concept and purpose. The term 'Tax Free' pertains to the exclusion of additional sales tax from the item's purchase cost by the online retailer. Any retailer capable of shipping to Guernsey should not include the extra sales tax in the purchase price for an order or item.
For example, when you order from a mainland UK online retailer, you aren't obligated to pay the usual 20% UK sales tax included in the total purchase price. The savings from the UK sales tax deduction can contribute to your final courier costs for shipping items to your international address. Ensure the total sales tax saving exceeds the difference in shipping costs from Guernsey compared to our mainland UK warehouse; otherwise, using the Tax Free warehouse might not be advantageous.
With UK warehouse - we offer DHL, UPS, FedEx and forward2me lite and lite X. DPD for EU countries like Germany, France and Netherlands.

Furthermore, it's importnat to note that when you ship items from the UK Tax Free warehouse, you remain responsible for paying the duties and taxes once the shipment reaches its destination country.
The term "Tax Free" specifically pertains to the exclusion of certain sales taxes within the UK, but it does not imply exemption from duties and taxes imposed by the customs of the destination country, whether it be in the UK or Guernsey.
These charges are determined and levied by the customs authorities in the receiving country and are independent of the Tax Free status in the UK or Guernsey. For no obvious reasons, forward2me increased the size of the package more that 4 folds. Big volumetric weight lead to more shipping price. It is the second time that this happened to me.

Please rest assured that we did not increase the package size or dimensions. The parcel was measured and confirmed at 26 × 26 × 14 cm, which corresponds to a volumetric weight of 1.89 kg.
However, courier charges are calculated based on whichever is greater – the volumetric weight or the actual scale weight. In this case:
Volumetric weight: 1.89 kg
Actual weight (on scale): 3.14 kg
Since the actual weight is higher, the courier applied 3.14 kg as the chargeable weight.
I understand this may feel like the package size was increased, but I can confirm that was not the case here. The difference comes from the actual physical weight of the parcel, not from any size adjustment.

I ordered an item within the UK and had it delivered with DPD to Germany. The complete process was without any problems. At all times I was able to track the parcel and its status quo.
It cost me $110 all-in to ship a small item weighng just ounces. The item was worth $25. Absolutely terrible. Live and learn. I will warn every soul abput this incident that will listen to me

Charges are based on the greater of the actual weight or the volumetric/dimensional weight, in line with standard international courier practice. Forward2Me does not add hidden fees to courier rates, the price presented at checkout reflects courier charges plus any optional services selected.
Forward2Me acts as a forwarding agent and does not guarantee that shipping costs will be proportionate to the value of the goods. Customers are responsible for assessing whether shipping costs are appropriate relative to the value of their items before committing to shipment. This is why we have pricing calculator to check before ordering goods.
Any customs duties, taxes, or surcharges are the responsibility of the receiver and are not controlled by Forward2Me.

Within a business day or two of my item arriving at the warehouse I had a tracking number for the re-shipment to my address. The items arrived well packaged and in good order.

Purchased some bicycle parts for my cargo bike from a German on-line retailer for 275 EUR. The items were shipped to Forward2Me location in Guernsey for re-shipment to Canada. When alerted to the package arriving in Guernsey, I was quoted a shipping fee of 900 Pounds to release and ship the goods via FedEx International Economy. There were no other options for shipping, or, an alternative quote. Therefore, I paid the requested fee to obtain my goods, with a plan to follow-up with Forward2Me customer Service to try to reduce this charge. It feels like it would have been cheaper for me to fly to Guernsey to get my package.

Shipping costs from the Guernsey warehouse can sometimes be higher than from our UK mainland warehouse due to a combination of factors, including limited courier options, regional handling fees, and the size or weight of the shipment. For this particular package, FedEx International Economy was the only available option at the time, which contributed to the elevated cost.

Actual Weight: 6.90 kg This is the weight measured on a scale.
Volumetric Weight: 35.25 kg This accounts for the space a package takes up, not just its weight.

For your package:
68×36×72=176,064 cm³
Volumetric Weight=5000 / 176,064≈35.21 kg
Please note that shipping charges are calculated based on the higher of the actual weight or volumetric (dimensional) weight.
In your case, although the package weighs 6.90 kg, its volumetric weight is 35.25 kg. This higher weight is used to determine the shipping cost, as large but light packages occupy more space during transit.
In short: Even if a package is light, if it’s large, the courier charges more because it takes up more space in the aircraft/truck.
