This was not a typical transaction with us. Mark placed an order on our website, which was billed to his credit card. After placing the order, Mark contacted us and requested to use a gift certificate to partially pay for this order. In order to accommodate this, we had to cancel the original charge against Mark's credit card and make a new charge for the lesser amount with the gift certificate. Although we immediately canceled the original charge, it took a couple of days for Mark's bank to clear it from his account.
