It's one thing having bad sellers on this website (which is not fiverr.com's fault)
But another disaster for fiverr's customer service and quality control not being helpful when things go wrong. All I wanted to do is to leave a bad review to the seller of my bad experience and Fiverr wont allow although they made their nice commission in between. IF this site doesn't help BUYERS of services who do they help? Without buyers you don't exist Fiverr.
For those of you who want to use this service please use Upwork.com instead.
Hired for a logo design. Every single "concept" provided to me was an exact copy from either an inspiration photo I provided or from elsewhere online (thank you, Google Image Search). I don't care what country you live in, or what language you speak. I DO care that you feel taking someone's work and passing it off as your own is acceptable. Absolutely not recommended.
I am unable to see my order or the artwork from the graphic artist. I submitted a support ticket and when I click on the link provided, I get a message saying "Oops! Page does not exist". LOL! I only spent $13 so it is no huge loss but it did cost me some time. Find a different service and save yourself some headache.
*Edit- I was able to get my money refunded and put back into my paypal account; for this, I improved the rating. * I picked an artist based on the image he had with his profile that demonstrated his level of expertise/work. What he offered after I paid was not even close; I requested to cancel the order and get a refund. He begged me to give him a chance to make it right. I really did not want to continue but I acquiesced and gave him a chance. I was right he still tried to beg me but eventually agreed to cancel my order. There are no features on the website show me how to get to my money or communicate with anyone. Links don't seem to work. The email I received from Fiverr did have instruction i was able to follow and received my refund within just hours of requesting.
Fiverr is extremely strict when it comes to following the rules there. It is expected that the terms and conditions are thoroughly read and that the rules are abided by. I have seen a lot of people complaining about the partial treatment in favour of the buyers so I'd like to address that. I have had a few issues with buyers as a seller there and I do not hesitate to contact support. I have experienced wonderful service and treatment from them and though the replies may be a bit generic, consistent follow-up usually gets you the answer you are looking for.
I'd advise sellers to reread their terms and to thread the site with caution because of ill-minded buyers (that are also on every other site).
In conclusion, Fiverr has been very helpful to me both financially and knowledge-wise (I am a college student, the extra money really helps). I hope my review helps and clears some doubts and questions you may have.
I entered fiver looking for some graphic designers with the skills to create original graphics based on our ideas. Despite the detailed explanations, the delivered work was based on stock photos, standard letters and banners that can be found even in MS Office PowerPoint. Zero creativity. A large number of the people announcing there seem to be non English speaking people therefore explanations area wasted. They reimbursed my money but made me waste time. Complain about being paid too little for the work but they are the ones that fix the price. I even sent the material in advance to the order to have them ( the creative designers) quote but they answered: order first. Quite frankly, not a good place to find good people. The worst part: we pay our creative people very well, even commissions over every item sold. This people announcing in fiverr didn't even asked or quoted. It is so weird. Not recommended.
Apart from losers that have failed to meet any reasonable quality criteria and are now venting their anger over here, the platform is broken in many ways and often ends up being a waste of time for both sides.
A successful conclusion is the exception!
I've ordered about 8 "gigs"... had some really good work done and have only had one bad gig that totally didn't deliver what they had promised, and I gave them a correspondingly bad review. However, reaching out to Customer Service for a different issue has been a major pain in the@#$. They take a VERY long time to respond and then finally come up with an answer that doesn't even match your question.
Hi - have had several experiences with fiverr that have not gone well. Took my money but never completed the task as per my expectations.
Fiverr needs to hold their vendors accountable or this app company will fail miserably. Love the idea, just need accountability.
Great way to make a quick $5 as long as you have something of value to offer and it's in demand. The worst thing about this site though, is that when you do successfully make a sale, they place your payment on hold for 2 weeks! After that you can then withdraw through paypal, but keep in mind Fiverr does keep $1 so you really only get $4
It's a very good site. Helps you to earn money using your skills. You can either provide a service or request for a service. Although it is quite challenging to get first order as a new member in the divert community.
Fiverr is a good marketplace with poor (actually automated) customer care unit.
As a seller, I had been duped by a buyer named mistrymaster. This guy played his card well because he knows the rule (although I will still teach him lesson).
You are only safe on fiverr if you know and play by their terms, that way you can be the scammer or just a good buyer / seller.
I used fiverr a lot of times, tried different sellers/gigs and had both positive and negative experiences
Positive. A lot of sellers, various and very interesting gigs, cheap cost - 5 bucks for everything. And easy to cancel the order if seller failed to deliver on time
Negative. A huge number of scam sellers. My examples, I bought 500 twitter subscribers from US but got only 200, mainly bots and part not from America. Or translation, seller sent me german translation of my article and i'm pretty sure he used Google or something. But no chances to prove something to Customer support
I've bought and sold on Fiverr for the last 3 years and find it very reliable. It is so much easier to use than any other freelance site I can find, and a lot less expensive on both sides! There are a few minor bugs and of course there is always someone trying to scam someone else (EVERY website has this, people!) but I've learned to work with the flow and enjoy the extra income and the extremely cheap business and personal services!
Had few jobs done, some delivered total rubbish, which I asked to be reviewed and amended.
Others delivery very good quality jobs.
The more expensive are not always the best ones.
So I never choose them and always start with small tasks.
This online business is amazing. It Gives you the time to make money while at home. It makes you get connected with different people world wide and any skill of yours is welcomed. Also too, there is no discrimination of any sort. All are treated fairly.
Insane site run by religious freaks, who allow sellers to harass about Jesus, then ban you if you don't want that. And then steal your money. These psychos belong behind bars. Insane.
If you live in the US, this site is basically completely worthless. In a nutshell, people in 3rd World countries use it to provide services for a fraction of the cost that people in the US charge because their cost of living and exchange rate is so much cheaper. So it is literally impossible to get work if you live in the US. Fiverr also deactivates your account if you don't manage to get work anyway. Do not waste your time.
If you are a buyer/ seller on fiverr who reading this, I want to tell you that please move away from Fiverr because it is now filled with scammers and frauds. I had my account for nearly six years and I was an active seller for past 4 months. Suddenly fiverr decided to close my account by saying that "Services that you offer harm the integrity of our marketplace and violate our Community Standards".
All I have done is reporting a scammer who asked me to contact them on Telegram. I was an AI artist on Fiverr and that scammer messaged me and asked me to contact them on telegram because they want my services regarding a project related to naked images. I confronted them by saying I am not willing to work with scammers and I reported their messages. After like 1 hour, I received an email saying that "my account has been disabled ". All i did was reporting this shi*ty scammer. Idiots who work in fiverr decided to close my account instead.
In summery following are the issues with Fiverr according my 6 years of experience,
1. There is no any protection towards the seller.
2. Sellers who offer good quality services either left this platform or their accounts got disabled without any reason/warning.
3. It is now filled with low quality sellers who are willing to run away with buyers' money.
4.If you are a seller, any buyer with bad intentions can exploit the system and have their work done for free. As of now they can even leave a bad review after that.
It can be a good site for making money or purchasing a service. But the rate at which they disable account without investigation sucks. One minute you are a top seller, the next minute your account is permanently disabled. The cry is both for buyers and sellers, and do not even do conclusive investigations on any issue.
They ought to do better, other freelance websites are becoming more attractive now
Answer: I used Fiverr for my company logo. The guy lives in Vietnam and speak minimal English. I paid for an upgraded package with an unlimited amount of revisions, 3 original logos, stationary and Facebook as well as Twitter page covers. What does unlimited mean if a revision takes 24 hours and each revision is correcting spelling mistakes or telling him you don't want a green dog in your logo, I want a natural looking dog. His response is "you choose font and gives you a pale old lady stockings colour dog" instead of a white Dalmatian with black dots or a brown German Shepard. In the end I used an online translator to translate my requests from English to Vietnamese. He told me to sketch something and he'd make something. If I could sketch something then I would do my own logo. The one logo that I liked was the one I gave him all my ideas for. All he did was put it together in the right format. I was so frustrated with his other two attempts that I said ok give me the first logo with stationary and everything I've paid for. I got the most basic design, no stationary or headers. Did I go through customer service? OF COURSE! Throughout this whole ordeal. I described every little detail. Each time a different person would reply and say "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him". Only to have him return with the same dog in orange or turquoise and every time customer service would spit out the same line "I can understand your frustration and I will contact him. We see he is responding to you within 24 hours so for us that means you are trying to work things out. I want my money back! Sorry we can't give you your money back. The seller has received his money and its up to him to give you any money back if he so chooses. It was a dreadful experience. I ended up using an online logo maker and I loved it. PLUS it actually cost less. I'm now doing my own website. If you have the patience then try to do it yourself. Do NOT skimp on your website. The way the world is run today you want your website and all social media presence to correctly reflect your quality. If at the end I'm not happy with my website I will go to a professional and pay what it costs. Hope this helped and good luck
Answer: I know I have to wade through a lot of questionable sellers to get a good one. Happy hunting. There are good ones out there though.
Answer: All I can say id Fiverr is the BIGGEST SCAM going. Had to dispute the charges through my bank to get the money back
Answer: Stay far away from fiverr. I paid a guy to do some work and proved with third party techniques they used bots for fake views to my site. Yet this guy had many many great reviews. You cannot trust this site whatsoever. Stick with paypal as you most likely will get nowhere with fiverr.
Answer: If you want a site designed to steal credit card data from hard-working, civilized people, please use Fiverr. It is designed for one thing: to take your credit card data and leave you to deal with a mess. More details, reply or search for my previous posts.
Answer: I can only imagine you got swindled and feel bad about the fact you trusted someone. Don't feel bad, you did nothing wrong. There are sites who take the time to vet their sellers and then there are sites like Fiverr who let's anyone to join with zero check on their credentials. The entry into selling on Fiverr is so easy that it borders on ridiculousness. Anyone can lie about their location, experience, education, and just about any credentials. Some of them are really clever and mask their fake profile pictures and gig descriptions really well. Fiverr is so secretive about their vetting process, which I seriously doubt there is anything in writing, that you can't trust it. The seller's level is a joke - I've gotten cheated by ones with thousands of reviews. How they received literally a thousand or more review is mind boggling. Go back and check again, you'll notice like 99.9% of the million or so sellers all have 5 star reviews. All legitimate businesses have a combination of good and bad reviews, most average around 3/5 or if they are a really great business 4/5 but for a large company with like a million or so freelancers with zero credentials having 5/5 pretty much tells you there is something wrong. Like I said, you did nothing wrong. I hope you didn't lose too much money. Their philosophy is "We don't care how crappy the delivery was as long as the seller delivered you don't get your money back."
Answer: The answer is plain simple NO! You will get your followers, yes! But they are all bots, so you will lose 90% of the followers the same week, might as well throw this 5 bucks in the air.
Answer: There is very little in the world that is unique. You have to trust or spend a lot more $$$ or do it yourself
Answer: I would suggest having nothing whatsoever to do with Fiverr. When things go wrong - and that happens a LOT - there is no customer support line to call. They make it very difficult (in my own case, impossible) to resolve any problems. Read the evaluation reviews- they are extremely negative. My advice: find another site on which to offer your services. DG
Answer: I've had 28 orders and all but two were very satisfactory. Most were PDFform building or business card templates, but I had s few design logos for me then used the one I liked. Buyers: it's cheap. Remember that. When the service is good I tip generously then use the same person. I get great service, often in one day. When I order, I add express service and have yet to be disappointed. It's a business model without customer service. Face it. If you want customer service, go to Nordstroms or Nieman Marcus. Do a better job selecting your service provider; be clear in the order, and overpay.
Fiverr has a rating of 1.6 stars from 1,132 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Fiverr most frequently mention customer service, credit card and low quality. Fiverr ranks 107th among Freelancing sites.
