New bass needed Complete Set up, Tone pot was so loose I thought it was broken but was able to tighten it up. Otherwise no other issues.
Don't understand how it could have made it through quality control/Inspection, fet buzz on 1st fret was so bad-Not even playable. Won't buy from fender.com Again.
I cannot get replacement parts like the push-button modeling selector knob for the Rumble Stage 800 Bass amp I bought because they don't want to stock them. Simple piece for them to manage but no interest in supporting the customer once the sale is made.
Purchased a guitar that ship next day, it should delivery on the 12-20-16.12-23-16 still no package. Tried to check shipping status on their web page no update. Tried calling got a message said they were having a holiday party and back open at 1:30. I tried until 5 there time still same message could not even leave a voicemail. Emailed their customer service which guaranteed 2 day answer still not a reply after 3 days later. My advice is do not buy their product and support a company that treat their customers like this. You should buy from someone that appreciate your business.
Ordered an american made Telecaster this year from Fender Musical Instruments Corp. It took almost 2 weeks for it to show up. The box was beat to hell and labels on the box showed it came from some independent music store. I refused the shipment and disputed the charge on my credit card. Not the Fender company I grew up with. Their quality has gone down the tubes along with their customer service. Also, earlier in the year purchased a Player series Telecaster from Sweetwater, It showed up unplayable the neck was crooked, the nut was very poorly cut, #1 E string at the 18th fret had no fingerboard underneath it, and the fingerboard was so rough it made loud scratching noises when you would bend strings. Stay away from Fender.
I love fender's products and I've had multiple Fender guitars, even got my friend into them, however I will never use their online site again because the fender customer service is awful. I got a "warped" guitar, words from a guitar center repairs employee, and it has taken 2 weeks for my guitar to show up at the guitar center, not to mention there is ZERO communication from fender towards myself or guitar center. Will be buying my products from Guitar Center from this point forward.
I traded/bought a 2023 Fender Player Telecaster Surf Pearl guitar from Guitar. First Telecaster guitar purchase, I have been a Strat player for 25 years. After a set-up, I'm ready digging this guitar! I changed/upgraded a few things( hardware mostly, locking tuners, pickguard, jack plate,) and have to say I'm very impressed. My current Strat is a 2012 American standard Strat, but this MiM guitar is very close in over-all quality! Highly recommend as an excellent value!
If you ever wanted to learn the Guitar, Base, or Uke, but didn't have the money, couldn't locate a teacher, or just needed instruction on your time table. This service is for you. Been on it for 2yrs now, very satisfied, also because I'm a Veteran I get 50% off the price - Recommend highly
I have a badn, however I am not playing the guitar there. I love drums and prefer the sound which comes from the drums actually. My friend is a guitarist and he always breaks his guitars. He is fond of playing bass guitars and when he broke his guitar as usual, I have decided that we must have acquire something more durable than ordinary guitars. So I applied to this store in order to ask customer support about the bass guitars which were in the stock. I was proposed with a particular model and I ordered it. Actually, my friend has been playing this guitar for half a yera nad it's really durable.
Fender's musical instruments qualities is no doubt one of the better ones out there when considering their prices. Do be aware of course customer service will vary drastically from shop to shop.
They have a wide variety of models, with prices that accommodate any wallet. Only in the shipments there could be some problems. But in the rest, all good.
A week after ordering a beginner pack, my product hadn't shipped. I'd been in contact with customer service a couple times trying to figure out why there was a delay in shipment on a product that was said to be "in stock and available for immediate shipment" according to my email order confirmation. Unfortunately, I received no other help or insight into the delay except that shipping had been upgraded to overnight. Well what good does that do if the product doesn't get shipped? When I couldn't get any real reason for the continued delay, I cancelled the order.
All I wanted was some insight and communication and couldn't get it, so decided to cancel the order. I'd rather spend money with a company that understands the value of communication with its customers.
This is such a poor reflection on the business that it will deter me from trying Fender Play as well. To learn guitar.
Complete bummer of an experience (except for the fact Fender saved me money for the time being while I borrow a guitar).
Great guitar company and great website. Aside from selling guitars, they promote free content, sheet music, etc. for guitarists. Love this site.
I love Fender guitars and amps besides Gibson and PRS there is no competition. Stratocasters and Teles are just amazing instruments and The Hot Rod Deluxe is just a scorching amplifier.
In June of 2020 I put an order in to The Fender Custom Shop for a Jazzmaster.
It was a dream my whole life.
But you don't want to hear about my dream. So let me tell you about my nightmare.
I was told by Fender that the guitar would take 6-9 months and I put in a nonrefundable deposit.
The deadline was extended to 12 months. But I was patient.
In June 2021 I was told that the finish was tricky and they wanted to give it more time to set.
In August 2021 I was told that the neck was made of rotten wood and that it would be a couple more months.
In October 2021 I was told that the bridge was out of stock due to supply chain issues.
In February 2022 I saw Jazzmasters from the shop's Instagram with the bridge I ordered, so I asked what the deal was.
They said those were "special" builds but the bridge would be in soon and I'd have my guitar in April 2022.
Today, April 8 2022, I spoke with my dealer. The deadline has been extended to June-July 2022 with no other reason given other than those previous reasons were not true.
My dealer believes that the guitar has not been started due to the "cryptic" nature of his conversation with his Fender sales representative.
If Fender had been honest with me- told me that they didn't have enough staff to take on all the orders that were placed. That there was no expected deadline. I would have understood.
But these lies show that Fender cares nothing about their customers. It just took advantage of the fact that many were stranded at home with nothing to do during a pandemic so they took on more orders than they could deliver with nonrefundable deposits.
And now we're all (still) waiting. Waiting for the truth and waiting for our guitars.
Answer: You didn't say which screws fell out but I am assuming screws from the back plate maybe on the tremolone cover. If that's a case and you are stuck with the guitar and you have to handle the situation yourself I could give you a quick fix for that. Get a toothpick and break off a little piece of the toothpick with the point end then dropped it in the hole then put the screw in and it will tighten up. Once you get it tightened down do not over tighten it same thing will happen but it should be fine. Or you could always use a filler, there are several different ways you could do it a mixture of glue and saw dust or wood filler. Just look online and then just put the screw back through and it will retap itself. Depending on what screw with strip if you have a different type screw that strip that's bigger like your bridge you could use little dowls and put down into the hole with glue and sand it down or bamboo skewers are good to use also. I just had to do a repair on my PRS SE custom 24 screw on the back plate just spinning just dropped a piece of a toothpicked down no glue or nothing and put the screw in and it's not right up no problem at all very easy. Like I said you could go online and you will find the same fixes and probably quite a few more hope this helps.
