My experience with the fasthost site is that is quite easy to find things and functional, however sometimes the features available in the control panel if you are using them for hosting is that is can be a bit overkill. There is however help at hand, but if you call them prepared to be transfered to another part of the world where the english is hard to understand!

Rip Off - Stay Away from FastHosts. They allure you in with low prices and will have hidden small text to get you in a contract. I just asked them to cancel one of the service not being used and they told they have me in contract for 6 months, which I did not agree to. Very dodgy and hideous tactics. If you are looking for hosting and professional service go to Dreamhost, Hostgator, Godaddy, Siteground. Stay away from rip off dodgy Fasthosts.

These guys will put you on a year contact without even telling you. Please beware and never accept there call offers totally crap software for SEO manager and the other product line

Beware of the FastHosts cheap initial offer of £1/month for WordPress hosting. After 6 months it goes up to £6/month making the annual cost £42. If you use Hostinger you can typically get a 5 year deal for £48.
Also you cannot cancel your annual agreement until 1 month before the anniversary date, which is an incidious and I feel fairly underhand way to catch out the unwary/forgetful client.
As for the service, you precisely get what you pay for and no more, like with RyanAir, every additional feature like the use of a database, or the unhindered use of CPanel is extra on a similar cost model as previously described. You can get 48 hour access to the Wordpress database with a one time access code but that doesn't enable a simple look up table database to be created for anything other than proof of concept.
In summary, prepare to be shafted if you use FastHosts.

Well I have recently been in hospital for 4 months and when I got home I wanted to reactivate and redo some of the websites I own.

A few years ago I bought a domain through Fasthosts. When I went to their site my username and password worked but then they wanted a verification code and my email and phone number had changed so I couldn't login.

Now 2 days later I still can't login and I've spent way too much time and money phoning Fasthosts without any joy. At the moment I'm waiting for them to call me back, perhaps this time I can login. Then I'll move the domain to a decent registrar.

I have been trying for 2 weeks now to access my account, in order to change the nameserver records for my sole registered domain, as the current host of that domains site/emails is due to expire in the next few days

I understand fully the need for proper procedures especially where security is concerned but after 2 weeks of being sent round the houses, I have gone from being agitated and frustrated, to downright annoyed... at the inability for even one person to see they are sending me in circles.

It is impossible to get support without a support number, which you can only get by logging in, but if the problem is you can't log in... you're screwed.

Even calling (an expensive international number for me) proved impossible. My credit ran out before I could get an answer on 2 occasions, and when I did get through I was told I needed a support number.

Email direct to support@ gets an auto response with a link that goes to a missing page

I am astounded at the level of incompetence

Reached out to sales, three time; they forwarded to support, who send me a link that gets a 404 error, and sends me the same useless email repeatedly, 12 times in all.

Disappointed doesn't even begin to describe the rage I have for this company right now...

And in 4 days, i will lose my primary domain/emails because of the incompetence of "fast"hosts

Can someone please get off their a**e and help me

UPDATE: It gets worse. New email direct to support, requesting they send verification to my phone instead, rejected because it didn't come from (defunct) email address on account... how much harder could they possible try to shut me out... their customer support is off the scale pathetic

FURTHER UPDATE: Now I read that if my domain, which I can't access, tries to auto renew, and fails, because it uses the email I'm about to lose through their belligerence, they will pursue me through the courts to get paid on something I can't turn off or cancel... I'm astounded

Dear Georgia,

This service is not as described and hopefully what I have now put into motion will stop Fast Hosts from taking advantage of other people. Fast Hosts packages have caused "a failure to deliver fair outcomes for consumers." This includes providing customers with misleading information or recommending that they purchase unsuitable products which are not as described and mis-sold. Please, may I suggest you read the emails instead of asking me to explain once again all over again!
Have not been allowed to cancel these misrepresented sales hence cancelled all transactions and HSBC now have the beginnings of the whole case file as of today.
The Fast Hosts promises within their charter they do not keep.
Informed Trading Standards who have raised a case.
The services never brought any customers, and we never had a shop created and neither did we have an interactive site whereby feedback can be left within a sign in membership portal for online groups and students and gallery for their work. These mis-sold packages cost money and as the Fast Hosts after continuously asking them to cancel ignored and went ahead after doing so within time limits to use my debit card.
We wished to have a WordPress site not the salesperson's mis sold products. Not as described either as evidence proves.
Bad experience with lack of customer care & unprofessional which is why we cancelled our hosting accounts with Fast Hosts & IONOS hence avoid at all costs. They are rude & do not provide the services as advertised which we have lengthy evidence to provide within emails. A previous case was upheld with Fast Hosts whereby the end resulted in an award for compensation & Fast Hosts did apologise in writing for rudeness & lack of professionalism & very poor customer care.
Will be also making sure Trading Standards are aware IONOS is unprofessional and caused us losses & stress as well as updating them with Fast Hosts. The reply is inaccurate as the main reason left Fast Hosts is they lost a case against them for mis-sold products by fraud team and then deliberately lost our websites and IONOS played a part as well. I am glad the case has now been uncovered as this shows you coerced them as threatening and abusive as you lost this case which in itself clearly provides the truth as to how dishonest you are!
We advised IONOS to close the account & not as they have declared which is yet another untruth & yet another error upon error with a lack of trained staff to manage the transfer of a group of websites & we have email evidence to uphold these facts which are showing the efforts to all be fruitless.

Like another review, purchased a domain name, now being billed at £7.19 a month. Apparently, I have signed a contract for a website builder which cannot be cancelled, and I must pay the £86 in full

When I cancelled a hosting package 6 months prior to it expiring as the email address was no longer in use Fasthosts charged me £80 for another 12 months even though they were advised i was shutting down that email.

I asked them to refund me but they ignored me. As such I requested a charge back, which the bank fully supported on the basis that i had complied with the chargeback banking regulations.

Fasthosts took offence to me asking for a refund for a service they werent providing and suspended a seperate functioning account using a totally different email telling me that if i want my service restoring they wanted the money returning plus a premium for their inconvenience

I made numerous calls each day for 2 weeks but their customer support is non existent, their customer complaints department are spineless and dont speak to you, and their accounts department are a joke and dont know how to take a payment even when i tried to give them back their money!

In my opinion they are utterly hopeless and a fiasco of an organisation. To illustrate this, each time i called them, incredibly they said they would send me an email - to the Email address which they had suspended!

As i dont like being blackmailed in this manner, and have not managed to resolve this after 12 days, I decided to abandon the email which they suspended on the basis that it is Cheaper and Quicker to get a new email domain and get another credible firm to host it for me rather than waste time with these Class Clowns and Blackmailers.

I have tried to leave this review now on 12 occasions at trustpilot and they keep removing it. Am i missing something here too?

I signup a brand new Domain with them with in a month called and promot them marketing tool for me i have told them my new Website on progress i looking to do SEO marketing once done. Then after few months i realised they simply added this service and changed every month for the marketing they never looked my website on live or am i start doing business or not. I Am really surprised how them doing SEO with out a Web? Don't trust and not doing a work with professional Manor trying to get the money out of you That's all. They are keep trying to get money and restrictions on my Account no Access to my domain and not able to complete my website jet.

This company renews your domain name even if you dont want it 30 days in advance - then FASTHOST send you a reminder to say "do you want to renew" and exactly 2 mins later says "it has been renewed" and guess what they do this at 11.56pm at night and although their terms and conditions say "you can cancel in 30 days if you are not satisfied"- all LIES and when you cancel says " sorry our terms state we renew 30 days in advance" - this is a CON and is basic theft from your bank accounts - stay away from FASTHOSTS INTERNET HOSTING - ABSOLUTE COWBOYS

stay away - these are con artists - terms and conditions mean nothing to them

The assistance I received was not safisfying at all.
I needed help adding to the website and sent Screenshots but I was hoping round in circles. No help and matter not resolved

Please do yourself a favor and completely avoid FastHosts.co.uk. Our server went offline several times in a month's time and it took them DAYS to respond! And now they are trying to keep billing me even after I have cancelled the service. This is the worst web hosting company ever. Just look at their average reviews: http://grab.by/9fsY

FASTHOSTS - consistently the worst reviewed WebHosting provider

SHAMEFUL! What an awful company to deal with. There are so many things wrong with their service and so many things not included in their packages which they omit to tell you or simply lie about. Fortunately, we kept our domains registered elsewhere, so that they cannot hold a gun to our heads. The only guarantee with this company is that you WILL have a problem - & when you do, their Customer support is dreadful. FastHosts are consistently the worst reviewed provider on all review sites i have seen - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I just wish i had checked more into this company on review sites like this one.
