Although this may be a good app, you cant change your mind without cost. (they dont tell u this, but infer the "TRIAL 3 days". Just signed up last nite and things changed so looked for the cancellation form, etc. Guess what? Nothing.
So clicked on the chat - guess what? - window said "not available". Clicked on the support - and a form came up to submit issue or cancellation request, which I did. No phone to call.
Today, i get a bunch of emails from Amy Blasi (FamilyTime Support) *******@familytime.io saying - refer to terms for refund policy and i have to pay for first month anyway. NEVER LOADED APP, NEVER STARTED THE APP!. Now i get threatening emails from her, saying bank will get refund policy! STAY AWAY People!

Having used Qustodio for a year I thought I would try something else. I am now going straight back to Qustodio!
Before purchasing familytime I checked the features (on the features page) and there is a list of approx 30 features. After downloading the app I soon realised that most of the features do not work on ios. Having contacted them by live chat they sent me another link to a page somewhere on the site with the compatability chart.
I pointed out that this is the page that should appear when you click on features. There is no mention on the features page that tells you which devices they work on. So I assumed they worked on all devices.
These are a few of the features that do not work on ios.
Further to this the location never worked or updated.
You can not turn off individual apps. Its all or nothing.
You can not monitor internet activity.
The internet filter does not work
There is no web history
No call History
No text history
This app does NOT work and does especially does not work properly with IPhones. When trying to request a refund for an app i never even used due to nonfunctionality i was denied due to them offering a discount when i purchased the app. This is just a Scam app dont be fooled!
This app is completely useless, because it's too easy to uninstall. It took 2 days to my daughter to learn how to uninstall it; she is 13 and she is no russian hacker.
What's the point of a parental control app if it gets uninstalled so easily?
Support really answers 24/7 but the quality of the support is really poor and they never solved my issues.
I canceled my premium subscription and asked for a refund, which they granted me, but I never saw a penny. In the last 3 months I have been writing to them every 2 or 3 days and they keep telling me that my refund is in the last stage of the process. This is going on for 3 months now... and I feel they are making fun of me.
They refused to give me the address of their registered office and the name of a legal representative of their company. Ask yourself why.
There is no such information on their web site either.
My advice is stay away from these people.
I signed up and realized it wasn't a product I needed quite yet for my 4 young kids. I cancelled on the first day within hours. The chat person "Olivia" hung up on me so I emailed and cancelled that day.
A month later a charge still was posted to my credit card. I emailed (since it is the ONLY way they communicate and chats are incredibly difficult to get a person through) and they said they couldn't refund my money because I applied for the discount and that voids any refund policy. I will be reporting them to the BBB.
I am so angry as a mom of 4 and teacher (17 years) that these people are scamming families out of their hard earned money.
Excellent app. So happy I can always find my kids and see what they are getting up to on their devices. Excellent customer service too through live chat.
Same disgusting experience for me as for many others. It's months that I'm running after the money they took from me even though I cancelled the app in time and they assured me everything was fine (I already had my doubts because I kept getting emails). First 21-15 days to process my refund, after that a week, now THREE times in a row this: please give us one last chance to resolve your issue, the billing manager himself is taking care of it, you will be refunded within 24 hours". Asking for the managers name they just give out random names that are not coinciding. And today the absolute highlight: "You will be refunded when you cancel your negative review on Google Play Store" THIS IS STEALING AND BLACKMAILING. STAY AWAY FROM THIS, EVEN THE SUPPOSED FREE TRIAL PERIOD
Perfect tool for working moms. Monitor kids, stay connected and track their location accurately with any hassle. I'd suggest every working mother try this app out!
They will keep you around until the card is charged. The app does not function well. My kids were easily able to bypass the security with just few taps. Don't waste your money on it.
Thoroughly enjoying using this amazing app. Have already recommended 3 colleagues and they love it too. I guess there should be some referral system. App blocker is a darling feature. Great app!
FamilyTime is highly useful when it comes to monitoring and controlling kids activity online. From my personal experience, it really helps parents a lot and keeps them in the loop.
Excellent communication with the customer service agent. He was very knowledgeable and also sent me a discount code that was valid for 30 days so I can try the app!
So far so good! This app made my life easier! It automatically access to apps once the set time limit is reached one suggestion I really hope you consider adding to you future updates
Had a few questions about Android, support was friendly, helpful and very responsive. Android has a ton of restrictions with this app, please keep that In mind
Sounded like a great app, but when I installed it on our Apple iPhones back in August, 2017 it did not work. I tried several tweeks and was very patient, but finally in January 2018 I contacted them and cancelled my account. In August, 2018 my PayPal account was billed and since that time I have sent approximately 20 emails to family time asking them to cancel my account and refund my money. This evening I sent the 21st email and still have not been refunded the unused portion of the charges and still am not sure that my account has been cancelled.
ANY APP BUT THIS ONE. FRAUD. THEFT. PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK.

On 06/16/24 you stole $28.69 from me via my credit card. As per my last email, this charge was not authorized. This is a second notice to refund my money at once.
I cancelled this membership last July 3,2023 because your app, software and "service" NEVER WORKED. I spent HOURS of time patiently trying to understand any direction you provided and making adjustments to the app, webpage or my daughter´s phone. NOTHING WORKED. Your customer service is horrible, emails were repeatedly unanswered, and your chat service gives instructions which do not fix any problems! You offer NO PHONE NUMBER or other method of speaking with a human.
I will publish this message in as many parent review apps and webpages as I can find. You should be shut down immediately!
Copied here is the Secretary of State and Attorney General of MA. Hopefully, they will investigate you, realize how fraudulent your business practices are and then be blacklist you. Good luck in bankruptcy court!

UPDATE: STILL NO REFUND AFTER TWO MONTHS! AVOID THESE SCAMMERS! I stopped using this app a while back ago as the most of it functionality is now implemented by the free Google FamilyLink, and just found that they renewed my annual subscription and charged another year even without sending a courtesy notification prior to the renewal. Now they are telling me that the refund will take them 15 -- 21 working days to proceed. Be warned.
Awesome way to set parameters for children's use of screen time, track their whereabouts and once it's set, you only have to adjust when needed. Very easy to monitor.
Save your money. Monitoring of texts is inadequate at best. Location Monitoring is sketchy. They don't tell you group texts cannot be monitored. Would not give me refund, terrible!
They will promise you refunds and tell you it has been escalated, but it is all lies. I cannot emphasize enough how much you want to avoid this company.
Got this for my son's XR. Phone immediately became unstable. Contacted the. Company, who then told me it was a know issue. Asked for refund. Because I got it on some special promotion, they would only refund half my money. That was promised to me 2.5 months and 10 emails ago. Guess what, still no refund. Skip the hassle and avoid this app at all costs.
Answer: It's even worse than ScreenTime app, I would suggest you to use built in parental controls and avoid using third party apps as these take so much of personal data.
