Literally my favorite store before someone decided that they should only cary slim fit. I am a medium but not a slim and now have to buy a size large which makes the shirt too big in the shoulders. Really a stupid idea which has caused me to no longer shop with them.
It took me 5 or 6 attempts to get my order right in my basket. The website definitely has glitches, as it kept doubling up the items. I was finally able to correct the order and move on to check out. Upon checking out, I input my shipping address and then moved on to the payment method and payment address. The website kept having glitches when inputting my payment address and would not follow through. I was finally able to input my payment address and complete the order, however, when I received my confirmation email, it had my payment address as my shipping address which is completely incorrect. I called the company within several minutes after receiving the email and they were unable to correct their mistake. Now I have an order being delivered to an area that I do not frequent for deliveries or mail and has a high theft rate for mail. Very disappointed in this company, and will never return to their website or to their place of business.
I love Jcrew clothes. My budget however begs to differ. Factory. Jcrew allows me to purchase jcrew style clothing with a little less of the quality but also without the price tag. And their website always has promo codes that make their products even more reasonably priced.
I purchased a coat on sale last week and it seems maybe a size too big. I called to order a second size so they could price match it for the price I bought it for and after I decided which one fit the best I could them ship the one I didn't want back. They told me their policy doesn't allow this and I would need to buy the item at their current price (over $40 more) or ship my item back as an exchange, which is $7.50 each time. I told them I wanted both in hand to decide - they did not care. I would have to pay the extra $40. So, if I had decided the one size smaller was too small and I needed my original item back I would be doing all of this back and forth garbage and paying $7.50 each time for shipping. That's an additional $15 loss and almost 3-4 weeks loss of time for transit time back and forth. That's ridiculous.
I keep getting sucked in with JCF's nonstop daily promotions, and while I have ultimately made purchases, lots of them have been returned. I question the overall quality and durability. My last purchase was on Black Friday-which included free shipping-but the delivery time is now almost 2 weeks! You don't know this ridiculously long schedule when you are making the purchase-but it should be transparently communicated to the customer in case the purchase is time-specific (gift). I forgot the old adage- If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. To make matters worse, the purchase I made is FINAL SALE, so whether I like it or not, I'm stuck with it. I simply don't understand this very customer adverse marketing strategy-why are you going out of your way to inconvenience and piss off the very people you depend on? I am still waiting to get the shirt I ordered, but it will absolutely be the last!
This store is a pleasure to go to. The staff is helpful and pleasant. Ellie, the manager, sets a great example. J Crew Factory store in Wheaton is clean and organized. Look forward to regular visits to see their product.
I went in the J crew factory in Northconway NH, I over heard a women talking bad about another employee. Only reason I knew it was about someone who worked there because they kept specificly say their name and how they work. All I know is if customers go in don't be talking about your staff especially the store manager that doesn't look good on your part.
The clothes are terribly sized and fabric is thin/cheap. Even sweatshirts. Save your money! Very poorly constructed clothing and misrepresented on this website.
