Seems everyone wants to whine about the quality, but it's better than some of the $200 - $400 sets in my broken frames bin. So buy 3 or 4 pairs at a time like I do. I keep an extra set stuffed away in all my vehicles. At $20 - $30 a set you can afford it.
I found the use of this site, the ordering of my glasses and purchase process to be fool proof. It took me over two hours to select from the many frames available and 2 minutes to check out. I will wait until I receive my glasses to give a product review but if it is anything like the ease of ordering them, I will be pleased.

The last reviewer said it, "Frames too flimsy." My daughter got two pairs of glasses. One somehow did not even fit her face properly, the other one did fit her and she liked it. But it felt cheaply made, like something you would buy in a novelty store. After around 4 wears, it literally cracked right on her face.
So we ordered a replacement pair. I paid for shipping one month ago and was told they would be here in a week. They never arrived. I called and was told they had been put on hold for some odd reason, so they would be expedited and arrive within 7 days (9 days ago). I called today and was told that they were shipped by regular mail, and to expect them 5 business days from now. I mentioned that this was at least another two week wait after my original one month wait, and I was told that this two weeks IS the expedited processing. Except 9 days ago, I was told expedited service was 7 days in total. They are cheaply made, bad customer service and not worth the hassle. Try somewhere else. Strongly not recommended.
I recently purchases two other pairs of glasses and loved them. I just ordered a third pair for recreation. Three pairs of frames, 3 sets of poly-carbonate lenses (including UV coating, AR coating and scratch proof coating) for $125.00! Cant beat the savings. Fast shipping!
I kind of didn't like the lack of selection for frames, but eventually I did find something I liked and thought $25 was very reasonable for the frame I picked out. In my opinion it's much better than being stuck with the crappy frames my insurance pays for these days.

Just amazing the savings I got from ordering at EyeBuyDirect vs the Tulsa discount store I was in last night. Get your eye exam locally and make sure that you get them to put all of your frame measurements in with your prescription and I just called the help number and they took all my info and it was easy.
These are replacement glasses for a pair I lost. So easy as they had all my information. I did change the frames.
Items on site were impressive but buying became difficult, Setting up account with my Email created a problem. It had to try three different Emails before I was able to finish my purchase. I even got support on the website but still had problems finishing my order, even after I had selected the product and was already in the shopping cart. I basically had to finish my order myself. I at least thought that the Live Chat line would have done more to help, it should be easier for one to spend his or her money.

The process is easy enough, and, unlike other sites, EBD allows for lenses with prisms. However, I'm not impressed with the variety of frame options. Most of them look the same to me.

Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
