I have been putting off getting glasses for ever. I finally got my eyes checked and the insurance only paid for the really unattractive frames. If I wanted to switched them to better looking frames I would have to pay upwards to $400.00!
Luckily I saw an add on Facebook and decided to check you out.
I cant believe that Im getting frames, transition lenses and the Prescription for a fraction of the price!

Bought these glasses in mid December 2017. Today 02/21/18 the nose pad fell off. I called to requested that they send a nose piece. They advised that they would not be able to send just the nose piece and indicated that they would replace the Frame as it was under warranty and I would be required to pay $5 for shipping. After going back and forth over the shipping cost, I agreed (against my better judgement) to pay the shipping. I was then advised that the frame I currently have is no longer available and I would need to select another. Needless to say I am not pleased and will never do business with this vendor again. BUYER BEWARE.

I have ordered from Eye Buy Direct on 3 different occasions. Only on one occasion did I have a problem and Eye Buy Direct worked with me to correct the problem and sent me a new pair of glasses. I will continue to purchase my glasses from Eye Buy Direct.
I want to give a full review but I would like to wait for the glasses to come in, try them out, and if needed, go through any return process and see how their customer service is. Otherwise, the ordering process was relatively smooth, and the information online is easy to understand.
I've ordered from EBD once before, but unfortunately ruined my glasses by allowing them to fall to the bottom of my satchel. Unfortunate. But the site is easy to use. I appreciate that all the dimensions are listed and I can compare them to the last pair I had. I appreciate the new "pay through Amazon" feature, it makes the buy process that much easier.

Going for my third pair now. Glasses are excellent quality, durability, and best of all, price. They have all the bells and whistles for glasses available, and so far no problems whatsoever.
This on line way of buying eye glasses is really kool... my first time, now I'm just waiting to see the quality -vs- price.
This must have been my 6th or 7th purchase. Can't be beat! Went to Target Optical and still haven't got my glasses, first time wrong script, second time, cracked lens when adjusting them! Never again!

This is the 6th pair of glasses I've purchased from EBD. I thought getting the right lens ordered would be a challenge but the lens of my first pair was perfect. Only one pair slid down my nose but that was easily exchanged for another pair. Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
