EyeBuyDirect.com sells prescription eyeglasses and frames, as well as sunglasses.
The company has garnered a solid reputation for providing affordable, quality eyewear, with many customers praising the extensive selection and effective virtual try-on feature. Satisfaction with product quality is prevalent, particularly for prescription glasses, which are often noted as a cost-effective alternative to traditional retailers. However, concerns regarding slow shipping times and excessive communication, particularly following orders, have been highlighted as significant drawbacks. While most customers express overall satisfaction, the inconsistency in delivery and customer service experiences indicates room for improvement in operational efficiency and support responsiveness.

My back orders were there so it's easy to reorder.
Love the site, checkout sucks. The unique styles you offer are great
So easy to use the "Try it on" feature. Great prices. Quality product
Eyebuydirect has been so good to me! I love having the ability to change up my look frequently!
I've gotten, ahhhh let's see, six pairs of glasses from this place. I've gotten the best of customer service anyone could ask for. They're so fast! A pair didn't fit my face well enough and they sent me a new pair straight away! I've had issues logging in and it's fixed within the hour. So amazing on so many levels. Not to mention I've built up a rockin collection of glasses that I get complimented on often! Thank you!
Purchased a pair of Oakleys and regular glasses from them. The Oakleys are fine, but the regular glasses frames had wood(untreated at that)in the arms and they warped horribly. So they offered a replacement, and gave me a refund. Then they send the replacement with the Oakley lenses instead of the regular lenses. So when I contacted them they told me they would replace it with the proper lenses, but it will cost me 115$for the proper frames and lenses. THEY GOOF UP, AND I'VE FOR TO PAY? Truly unsatisfactory business practices, steer clear and try one of the other numerous retailers out there. Cause here YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES.
Easy process in ordering and great value. As expected time for delivery.
I haven't had any bad experience with the product received, except that three glasses seem a bit fragile, but the wait time before they ship seems a bit long. Mine have been processing since 9/14, it's now 9/19.
I lost my last sunglasses and it was so easy to reorder another... I thought they might be a little bit less money because it was the exact order I had made before.
I have had a good experience, just waiting on the exchanged item to be delivered
I've bought from EBD before and glasses were decent quality and decent prices. You get what you pay for, no complaints.
Went to order again because I received a buy one get one free discount code via text and email. Spent HOURS researching reviews and picking out multiple pairs of glasses to find out that my discount wasn't applicable. When I messaged customer service they told me I couldn't have the BOGO discount code because I haven't bought from them within the last year (seriously...?) and then they gave me an extra FIVE PERCENT OFF when I got upset that they weren't standing by any of the discount codes I was sent. Seriously? Why is EBD sending me these discount codes then? Fix your email marketing system if you want to be so stingy. 5 percent is literally a slap in the face. Disrespectful - a waste of my time.
The prices are good and getting better. Looking forward to my next pair
The quality of the frames are good. My only complaint is the "transition" lenses could darken faster. I've been outside on a clear beautiful Hawaiian day for 15 minutes and the lenses only darkened about halfway, at least I'm guessing. Maybe it has something to do with the blue light filter but idk. These are my first pair of glasses from ibd and I've been wearing them for about 5 days now. I can see the difference on my sons "transition" lenses from Costco which seem to darken a whole lot faster
Great choices, easy ordering process and great discounts.
I placed and order, when I received it I decided I didn't like the bifocal line, contacted them they asked what I wanted to correct the problem and told them. When I received the glasses the second time they were not changed at all they were exactly the same glasses I had the first time. Now they tell too bad you used up your exchange! Wow what customer service! Will not use them again and wouldn't recommend!
I ordered several times from this company and am very satisfied with the glasses.
I recently contacted them about a lens issue in placing an order and they were extremely helpful. They were thorough and very informative.
After a bad experience with another company, I will go back and order only from this company.
Seems like the lenses are smaller than the description
Ordered 4 pair of glasses 1 with transitions and 1 pair of aviators. They seem good my kids are happy with them. I object to the advertising. How many times to people order glasses? I have been sent nearly a dozen emails and it's only been 3 weeks.
I don't know if this happened before they were shipped or during handling but when my glasses got to me all of them were broken and falling apart! The lease was popped out of one, another pair was detached by the side. I was shocked. Only 1 pair was completely unharmed.
Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
