I ordered a part to be shipped to California. I checked in with them after 8 days and they cancelled my order without telling me. When I followed up they said part wasn't able to be shipped to California. I hope they utilize this as training opportunity to better filter parts when shipping stage is California.

The part I ordered did not ship in 2 to 3 days as advertised. About day 5 I contacted them and they said expected ship date was in 3 more days. I asked if they always waited 8 days to ship an he apologized and gave me $10.00 store credit (i spent over $300.00)Asked where it was shipping from and the said they do not know the supplier's location. Same day I received notice from FedEx that item had shipped. Contacted Extreme again asking why I wasn't notified by them as promised? They said FedEx notification must be spam because part had not shipped yet. Received part next day. Still no shipping notification from Extreme. They can keep the $10.00. I don't do repeat business with companies that don't hold up their end of the deal. Needed more parts, ordered yesterday from Northridge, shipped today, scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

The cv joint assembly wouldn't take the bolts it came with because the lip by the rubber boot was to great, I had to bend the lip back in order to get the bolts to go through the bolt holes. The design needs to get rid of the lip to avoid this issue, it's not even a performance item it's a cosmetic thing. Other than that it fixed my issue with my front drive shaft going into four wheel drive.

The shopping experience is fine but some of the parts I've received haven't been a good fit within itself. For example I had to modify the housing of the cv joint for the bolts it came with to even fit because the lip with too big and wouldn't allow a bolt to be threaded in. The instructions were clear but the lip was covering the bolt holes.

Ordering front/rear ring and pinion gears for my 2013 Tacoma was a nightmare thanks to the Technical Expert that put my order together. I purposely called their support like to make sure I got the proper gears for my truck. I was not going to order on my own since the info on the website isn't all inclusive.
I gave them all the details: My VIN that said I am currently a 4:10 ratio, with a 2.7 four cylinder engine which is the most important detail, 8" front and rear, no lockers, and other important information. I had a checklist to make sure every pertinent detail was relayed.
When the gears arrived, I scheduled time with my installer. I live in Wyoming and finding a quality installer isn't easy. In my case, they were over the Bighorn mountains, more than three hours away.
Once there, the front diff was dropped and then we learned that the gear set we received was not for my truck. As it turned out, the rear set was not correct either, 0 for 2 there support guy!
So, after two hotel nights ($82 a night) $100 for gas, several hundred dollars owed for shop time, two and a half days of my time, plus time to return the gears once home, I returned with the same truck I left with.
I've done steady business with Extreme Terrain, more than $5K spent this past year. They will never get another order from me. I hate to sound like a male Karen, but come on. You did me wrong, and all I get in return was a sorry, let's reorder the right gears. Let's hope that when these arrive, they are correct. Not feeling that confident to be sure.
