This is a very popular VPN service. My friend recommended it to me for getting to blocked websites and extra privacy while surfing. I found their support team to be excellent, cause they responded to my email within 30 minutes and helped me to get everything working correctly. The performance is actually very good compared to other VPNs I tried in the past. It did not slow my browsing speeds at all. I do recommend this site highly!
I ordered ExpressVPN. The next day, I wanted to cancel ExpressVPN. The chat service is not available.
I wrote emails. No reply jet.

I didn't receive my money back though I have requested weeks ago. I'nm very disappointed with your services. My favorite server (Italy) never works fine and connection always dropped randomly. I'm very disappointed.
I signed up for this because I was going to Italy for a few weeks and wanted to be protected on my phone when using wifi. Honestly, it just made using the internet a pain. Everything I googled it deemed suspicious and then made me do one of those 'click all the boxes that show traffic lights' things, over and over for weeks. I have no idea if it saved me from any cyber attacks. I then got home, went into my account and turned off auto-renewal. A week later, charged for the next month. I did a chat with the company, who told me it was my fault and that auto-renewal had not been turned of 'completely' and that there were more steps involved. I got no email or direction from from them on these illusive next steps to 'completely' turn off the auto renewal. Dishonest business practices. They refused to refund my money and reiterated that it was my fault that they got away with scamming me. Never again will I use this company and suggest you don't either.
I'm impressed. I've used the free trial once whilst in Lanzarote, again I paid £10.99 to watch in Majorca. It's easy to download and follow instructions. Just remember to cancel if you dont want to get charged monthly if you only use for a short time. Customer service staff are knowledgable and helpful. My only gripe this time around is I cannot connect to the 9Now app in Australia with the VPN as i'm in the UK. I'm going to get a refund. I don't think they'll be an issue.
Netflix and Hulu blocked me because i had a VPN. Express VPN cancelled my renewal but would not refund the 8 months i still had paid for. It took forever to cancel and there is no one you can call. I needed a VPN because my internet provider was throttling my internet speed because i stream instead of cable.l i kept my cache emptied on all apps and used smart locations. I even matched my zip but still couldn't get firestick apps to stream. If streaming sources wont stream while i have a VPN then how is it helpful? The shady reactions you get when you try to cancel the subscription isn't a plus either. Will not do business with them again.
I got Express VPN to evade a (very stupid/insane) Reddit IP ban that I did not deserve. Express VPN did absolutely nothing, it didn't hide my IP address at all. Went to my account page to cancel at least twice, but it would keep appearing in my bank statement. They've made it purposefully deceptive when you go to cancel to make it look like you have, when there's actually apparently 2-3 more steps. Garbage product, scam company, stay away.
Unless you confuse hours of non-productive circuitous 'chats' to be customer service. I plan to leave Express VPN as soon as I find a provider where you can pick up the phone and resolve an issue in under 10 minutes. But with Express VPN, you can waste hours on these idiotic chats, and still have the ongoing problem. Worthless!
Same issue experienced by other users. I cancelled the auto-renewal before the end of the free trial. Express VPN kept billing me regardless. No refund issued for the two years for which I was billed fraudulently.
Terrible experience, VPN was on and my ip address was exposed, i call them and after several screen shots they said i had an old version. Come on! I update it every time i have a notification i closed my account right away. BE AWARE and do not pay them the whole year.
You would think, like with most companies, you could go to your subscription settings, hit cancel and refund.
But nooooooo, you have to open the chat window and they try to talk you out of it. And the lag time for their replies is excruciating. I should have just done a chargeback. It would have been simpler. Not everyone would know what the little icon on the bottom right is.

After dozens of emails where i told them i was not going to renew and turning autorenew off. They turned it back on, talked to my CC company and got a new number. They renewed against probably a dozen refusals to them that i had no intention of staying with their product.
What is this shady behavior? Very bizarre, their emails told me they 'were sorry i was confused' and that i really wanted to renew. I was perfectly clear. Had to dispute the charge
After messaging to cancel my subscription they tried to get me to keep it. I said no cancel it. They said they would cancel. A few months later my husband said we were still getting charged. I messaged them again asking them to refund and cancel. They said they would. They didn't. I took screenshots of my conversation. When I messaged again I explained I have tried to cancel twice and I wanted a refund and I have the screenshot. They requested my screenshots. I emailed them. Then I asked if they record the chats. They said yes they save the chats. I requested copies of all the chats and they refused. She said she could only send her chat with me. She promised they will take care of everything with billing. I am still waiting. Horrible and dishonest company
I am living in china and had use expressvpn before. I stop my subscribtion once the 6 months period was up. With the expensive price, the quality, speed and connection provided was very poor. Its a waste of money and time. Please be aware that once u signed up, your account is automatically renew once your subscription expired. You have to manually set your account to "off automatic renewal" if not expressvpn will keep charging u. This is somewhat like a scam. Considering others much cheaper vpn available in the market with much better performance, especially those VPN that had been established for many years i. E. Witopia and etc, do not even consider expressvpn. In addition, expressvpn spend lots of money on advertising in the internet to get more new customers but While not really providing service that they promised. Again its somewhat like a scam or sort of used car salesman tactic.
I used another vpn for years and never got targeted ads. After a few days on expressvpn i started getting the same targeted ads on multiple devices. Yes i used all the tricks and settings to block tracking cookies (hence no targeted ads under previous vpn which i dropped due to wifi connectivity issues). The ecpressvpn response bot assumes you are an idiot.
This supposed "unblockable" vpn is always blocked. Don't let them fool you. I've been in China for two years and this one is no better than the rest for getting past "The Great Firewall" of China. Personally, I've had better luck with a free vpn that always (ALWAYS) works. And when this one actually worked, it was no faster than any other vpn. These guys are only after your money. Pure and simple. And their customer support is non-existent once they have you signed up. And never, repeat N-E-V-E-R sign up for a 30 day free trial for anything. Especially these crooks. Run fast. Run far.
I subscribed for a one month free trial of Express VPN in November 2017. I cancelled the free trial within the month. It is now 7th December 2017 and Express VPN has charged my account for US$12.95 on separate 3 occasions. I have tried to contact their "instant" Live Chat Support. I have not received any response. I have since cancelled my credit card in order to stop Express VPN from charging me further.

Disgraceful tactic to scam people, i just used the trial but ended up paying 4 months, because when i clicked in DONT RENEW MY SUBSCRIPTION IT it wont work unless you click it 3 times and even now, im not sure if actually my subscription was removed. I hope a full refund from the past 4 months because i used their services for less than an hour. $#*!TY COMPANY $#*!TY TACTICS.
