The services and features offered in their site are quite user friendly. This allows me to confirm my air ticket bookings in a very short time.
Our flights to/from Rome were on time and safe. The price was right as well. We will book again with exploretrip for our next vacation.

This company is managed by bunch of jokers who don't value customers, they have no ethics. They are big rip off, stay away from them.

Cheap flights are as advertised. Not always the best connections, but usually a wide variety of options to destination to choose from.

I just booked my flight on Dec 25@ 11:40 PM to fly on Dec 30. Immediately, I received email having he itinerary with PNR & REF numbers. Nothing in the email mention other than the ticket. I didn't open my email for two days and when I opened my email today, I found two emails; one on Dec 26@ 12:16 PM requesting some documents need to be submitted within 4 hrs from the emai from in order to confirm my ticket, and the other email on the same day@ 9:55 PM saying that my flight is not confirmed since I didn't provide the requested documents in the required time and hence my money will be refunded within 3-4 business days.
I replied to them requesting a clear reply either my flight is canceled and my money will be refunded so I can book another flight or the flight is still confirmed but no reply yet.
Now two weeks since the refund email but still didn't receive the refund. I sent them several emails and they replied that they processed the refund back to my credit card. I ask them for the refund invoice but they say that they don't make refund invoices.
Definitely poor rating and will never use this agency in the future.
I booked a flight for my employee with ExploreTrip because their prices seemed better than the competitors -- but let me tell you -- IT WAS NOT WORTH IT. The flight receipt says that it cost $809 CAD, but i was instead change in USD (which meant that I was charged $1065 instead). I contacted them right away to let them know and at first seemed helpful that they were going to refund. I kept checking back on the credit card, and nothing was issued. About 3-4 weeks later I contacted them again and they assured be it was coming. Another 3 weeks have gone by and I still have no refund. Emailed them twice - no response. Called them and they said they would issue a cheque in 7-10 days (supposedly refunding the credit card was "not possible"). THE KICKER was that they said the cheque would come to my employee, not the company, and I tried over and over to explain to them that it needs to come to me, not him, and they just kept repeating his cell phone number and name to me. I don't know if these guys are scam artists or just the most amateurish company but i will NEVER use them again -- and I'll tell everyone I know not to use them too. I would not be surprised if a cheque is never issued -- to anyone.
Traveling home from Naxos, Greece two days ago with 5 people including a 3 year old, we arrived at the Naxos airport to find the airline (Sky Express) had no record of our tickets. Further, they had no room on any flights for days. We were forced to take a taxi to a ferry, buy 1st class tickets - all that was remaining - and travel to athens on a 6 hour (!) ferry, and then take another 30 minute taxi to our hotel.
How did this happen? Well, while standing in a 100 degree tiny office at the Naxos airport I called ExploreTrip for help AT MY OWN EXPENSE ($2/minute on my cell plan). I was told that the charge never went through for the tickets and then put on hold for 15 minutes to see what could be done. The agent NEVER CAME BACK.
WHEN I PURCHASED THE TICKETS THE EXPLORETRIP SITE SAID THAT THE CHARGE WENT THROUGH AND I NEVER RECEIVED ANY SORT OF FAILURE MESSAGE DURING THE TRANSACTION OR AFTER. In fact, I received a ticket conformation via email indicating tickets had been successfully purchased.
So this issue has cost me $450 plus (and more importantly) about 8 hours of my and my family's time while on vacation.
I have messaged ExploreTrip since and heard nothing back. This company is a scam as far as I can tell. Too bad in this day and age that this can happen.
After two months contacting the customer service of Explore Trip for solving my concern about refunds for my tickets (that I purchased three tickets but only one ticket got full refund, while the other two did not get refunds), my concern got escalated to the escalations team of Philip, Chris, and Tony. Philip was the one worked with me the most of time on solving my concern, while Chris and Tony also helped behind the office. Philip was so helpful, extremely patient, and he definitely is working with his heart like he is solving his own concern. He keeps his words, if he is telling you he will call you back, he definitely will not forget to do so. He worked hard to get the desired result of my concerns that after about two weeks working with Philip, I now would receive the other two refunds that I was looking for in next 4 weeks. This escalations team, especially Philip, deserves the FIVE STARS rating. We are 100% satisfied with service from Philip. We again want to say THANK YOU to you Philip. Thank you very much for every minute that you have put into my case
Stay away. Never use this website. They show fake prices and then they will cancel your reservation without explanations
I used to manage a customer service call center so I understand that good customer service can be hard to provide. That being said, there is no excuse for how poorly my experience with ExploreTrip has been. I have been calling their customer service line on and off for 6 months. Each time, they promise me they are "looking into my inquiry" and "will call me back tomorrow". Not only do they never call me back (I confirm they have my correct contact information every time) but the last representative had the audacity to lie to me saying that my flight had been refunded back in december which never happened.
Everytime I speak to a representative, I write down their name. When I call back a couple days after their promised call never comes, the rep I spoke with is never available. I have to then re explain my situation every time and sometimes multiple times if they keep transferring me. Apparently there is no note taking system. I understand needing time to "review my case and get back to me", but blatantly lying each time I call is unacceptable.
I booked a trip to Kathmandu through ExploreTrip and was excited that they would help take care of directly booking through the airline. My flight was with China Southern and their website was confusing so I was glad ExploreTrip's website was easier to navigate. Bad move to go with them.
Long story short, the pilot of our departing plane hit a tow truck taxing out of the airport and flight gets aborted. Here comes the good part. China Southern issued a refund statement to all third party bookings (i. E. ExploreTrip). Instead of actually refunding my ticket, they have pocketed the money for a flight I never went on. This is the reason for having to call them relentlessly to get some kind of answer on the status after 6 months!
I have travelled all over the world using many third party bookings. Luckily I purchased insurance to get a fraction of what my flight cost but save yourself the time and heartache. Going with this very incompetent company will end up costing more in the end.
I am happy with the awesome flight deals that the website have been offering. It helps me travel to the best places at a less price.
