Do not spend your money or waste your time with EVO. This company is slow, poorly ran, and is not worth your time. You might as well drive to the actual manufacturers of snowboards and pick one up because you will get it quicker than ordering online. I ordered a Ride Algorhythm in November for Christmas and they delayed clear into February, so I cancelled the order and called up Ride. The board arrived two days later.
I shop for pleasure, relaxation and not to be thrust into someone's political position on sexuality. I don't care what your orientation is, its your business, please do not force me to stop shopping and debate politics that do not interest me. I am no longer your customer, not because of any position you take but because you try to force me into your arena and I just came here to spend money, not think about things that do not matter to me. Please stop sending me emails to harass me into seeing your political point of view.
Dont buy unless you are certain you won't need to return the item. It is likely one of the last web stores that charges for shipping, higher rates for returns and no option for exchange so you need to order again and pay shipping again... ridiculous.
I wouldn't recommend this Evo for purchasing gear. The customer service is terrible. I purchased a helmet from this company that was supposed to arrive a couple days before a trip I planned. The package got pushed back three days and sat at the ups right by my house and eventually shipped and hour from the drop off point. Ups wouldn't let me get the package and the Evo customer service rep blew me off because the package was supposed to arrive on date they said it would. Long story short the date kept getting pushed back and if the customer service rep put a little effort in it could have been a good experience. Spend a little more money to a store that cares.
The website has a great selection and competitive pricing and availability for a few ski models I couldn't find elsewhere. I had to cancel one of the items after I had placed an order, called customer service and after a short hold girl assisted me in no time at all and cancelled no problem since the order hasn't shipped yet. Other companies would give such a hard time! Will deff buy from eco again
I ordered a pair of snowboarding boots, I put the wrong zip code... They were returned, I called the customer service line at UPS, completely useless. But, my first call to Evo was great, she was nice and tried everything to intercept the return and correct the address. That did not work, the day I saw that the boots reached their warehouse, I called spoke with a young man, told him my mistake and it took him 5mins to get the address corrected and the warehouse to send them right back out! We got them within a few days! I will definitely buy more from them, because of those two customer service reps who were not even upset that this was completely my error, and took care of it.
If you're a service member serving overseas DO NOT use Evo. I used to love them stateside for wakeboarding gear, now I bought snowboarding gear to the tune of around $700 they charged me $110 in shipping even though they advertise free shipping over $xx. Go with the house dot com or anywhere else. The house for the same amount of gear not only offered $39 shipping but a $130 gift with a purchase over $150... I wish I'd done more research.
Bought Nordica El Capos and Marker Duke Bindings on Evo. Best price out there. They provided a lot of helpful information about the equipment I was buying as well as helpful reviews from other people. They shipped them out right away. I ended up getting them a day earlier than anticipated and they kept me posted throughout. Would buy from Evo again in a heartbeat.
Evo.com has provided me with a ton of my snow sports gear. They have great deals on great gear. Last season I bought a great snowboard/bindings/boots/bag package for an excellent price. They have an outlet that has cheap stuff from which i just bought new pants for boarding this season. The shipping rates are reasonable too. I highly recommend the site.
Tried to report and incident that happened before I had the evo, the customer service team told me I was liable and hung up on me. I've been a customer with them for 3 years now and they have always had bad customer service. When they can they will try to charge you for things you did not do. I'm switching to car2go.
Maybe ok for West Coast but doesnt work for East Coast.
11 days to receive ski boots. Now if you need to exchange for different size, you pay to return the shipment. Then you are looking at 1 month which at that point why order online.
I bought on clearance K2 snowboard boots for $100. After 5 uses, a part that holds the boa wires came apart, the stitching ripped. There was suppose to be a year warranty. Evo would not honor it, saying it was from a snowboard laying on the boot going up a chair lift. They determined this through a picture I sent. There never was a snowboard laying on the boot. These boots looked brand new except for the stitching that came apart. I will never buy from them again. I feel the boot was defective. Poor customer service, and poor quality.
I bought 3 pairs of Rome bindings for my daughters and first time they used them the buckles locked up and I could barely pry them off. EVO wouldn't take them back and replace them with bindings that worked. I will never buy from EVO again.
I bought a pair of gloves and needed to exchange for size. When I tried exchanged them as I was directed by an EVO associate, they charged me $7 and refunded my money. When I called to explain I wanted to exchange them not refund them, the EVO associate demanded I pay current price rather than the sale price I paid. Life is too short... Shop local and avoid on-line sellers like EVO who don't have their act together.
I ordered the wrong bindings accidentally, after shipping the wrong pair out they immediately shipped me the correct pair free without charge, and even upgraded the shipping. The two representatives I spoke with were very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Excellent service by Evo. The bike helmet arrived a few days earlier than expected. A missing helmet tail light was ordered by Evo and arrived a week later. Thank you.
I ordered a pair of Salomon ski boots for $124.99 and received an order confirmation email thanking me for my order. My credit card was charged. The next day I received an email saying that evo.com had made a pricing error and that the correct price was actually $374.96. Evo gave me the option to either cancel my order or order the boots for the correct price of $374.96 minus 20% discount. I checked their website and they had corrected the price to $499.95 indicating that evo's pricing is literally all over the place and they use false advertising to lure customers to their website. I decided to cancel my order and received the following unprofessionally written, yet cheerful email confirming my order cancellation:
"Hey,
Your order # XXXXXXXX has been canceled per your request. The pending authorization will fall off of your account in a few business days.

I love the fact that you can check the stock on every product they carry. The only downside is that the stuff I want isn't on sale :) haha! Their prices are consistent with most other companies and their shipping is super fast.
I was going to order some new NFX2 goggles when the price was $115 dollars (which is fairly reasonable). However, when i came to purchase this product in the checkout section, the International shipping cost an extra $79 dollars?
Worst bikeshop service ever. I regret buying my bike on this mt wellington branch. I purchased a brand new 2021 trek and the bike has lots of noise on groupset plus since i bought it and i send them an email the day that i used the bike and take me a few weeks to bring back my bike because im busy at work then leave my bike on them for a week then they did nothing and saying a lots of reasons plus a rude 1 staff (but most of them is nice except on 1 person) im always buying online on evo and its nice and very fast delivery but on their service i recommend dont go on this mt wellington branch specially if your bike is just a normal complain (specially if just free charge because its a concern) maybe go to other evo branch
