Fees outrageous!
November 26, 2022

They get a "1" for doing their stated service - assisting in the purchase of a ticket(s).
They get a "1" because their fees are outrageously high. I've gotten tickets in Boston, New York City for far more readinaorates.

Don't Trust Them
May 17, 2023

I bought two tickets direct from their site. I printed both and gave one to a friend. My ticket didn't work. They looked me up at the door and let me in. My friend wasn't as lucky and had to buy another ticket at full price ($60). I legitimately requested a refund and Eventbrite concocted some excuse for why they wouldn't stand behind their refund policy. Disappointed.

Terrible.
February 21, 2020

Never used this site before and gave it a try. I purchased tickets to go see a band and accidentally purchased the wrong ones. The website changed the event i wanted to go to people I never heard of. I called them to get a refund within minutes of purchasing and they told me i couldn't get a refund. It's BULL$#*!. Terrible policy for something accidental. Never will use this site again. Ticketmaster is the way to go and reliable.

In trying to get a refund from Eventbrite I discover that they are a scam operation even though their ticket says I can get a refund up to seven days before the event.
To get a refund I have to have an account where I can see my ticket.
To have an account I have to sign up.
To sign up I must have a password but which I do not have until I have an account.
So I must use forgot password which generates a mail from them.
Which comes with some delay and when I click the link even within a minute of receiving the mail I get a message on the log in page that says the password token has expired. I have gone through this cycle at least ten times!
So I will get my credit card to dispute the charge and so on.
And their website has no phone number to call or any chat or any e-mail to write to.

I 'attempted' to attend an event that was promoted by Vernon Williams (please do not support him) at Bowie Fine Arts theater on May 14,2017. We did not attend the event because the tickets were falsely advertised as 'premium' seating when in FACT that only had general seating. Anyway, I attempted to resolve this with Mr. Williams (I just want a refund), as recommended by EventBrite. Surprise no response. His event had no refund policy so I contact EventBrite AND NO ONE has contacted my from EventBrite YET! This stinks! EventBrite should not allow promoters to use their site who are fraudulent. Mr. Williams is a FRAUD!

DO NOT USE!
June 30, 2022

This is a review for both Eventbrite and "Contact the organizer" I've requested a refund thru Eventbrite and the organizer directly by personal and it's affiliate 6 times counting today! And feel it's personal and therefore they and his gf refused to reimbursement since May 30,2022 for an event held June 25-26th. Yes it's June 30,2022 and I've been blocked personal by Facebook and gf from reaching him! Even there personal cell#! I didn't want to have to do this but Eventbrite says "we can't refund your cost of the tixs, only they can" as said thru chat when it was available and for a week it isn't! At least to me! Customer service is and wish I knew of the reviews before this + my personal experience with Eventbrite and the organizer I wouldn't go thru either of them!

Terrible Service
April 5, 2017

As a buyer of tickets here's my last attempt to use eventbrite.com:

Purchased 2 tickets, unable to send tickets to Apple Wallet, unable to open pdf of tickets. Tried my phone, a tablet, a computer to no avail. I had just paid for 2 tickets that were impossible to obtain.

Its unfortunate but any vendor using eventbrite can count me out as an attendee.

Non-function junk
March 6, 2021

Eventbrite the worst thing out there. I reserve tickets for events. I long on to the portal, the ticket is there - but no hyperlink to join the meeting. This happens all the time with eventbrite I try their "help" - it just tells you how to get to the tiicket - but what is the point if the ticket does nothing? Absolute rubbish.

DO NOT USE EVENTBRITE!
December 4, 2023

I would give them no stars if I could. NO customer or organizer support. They used to be legit but they are now a scam site. You now have to pay extra fees to increase ticket sales which we paid and people still can't buy tickets from the site. DO NOT USE EVENTBRITE!

I ordered concert tickets from them and realized a week from the concert I hadn't been emailed my tickets. The service started out great. "Tell us the date of purchase, the email address, and the transaction number of your credit card". I provided it immediately. A week went by and I followed up regularly the concert passed without a response. After the concert I got an email from support asking if my case was resolved to my satisfaction! I said no, please refund my purchase. They refused so I disputed the purchase with my credit card company. They reported to the credit card company that they had in fact resent my tickets which was an outright lie. In the end I lost $80. Not the biggest loss in the world but the entire ordeal left me speechless. I couldn't believe just how They handled my service request and lied in the end. It could have been easily resolved. Now I see based on these reviews others have the same experience. Needless to say I'll never use Eventbrite again.

Don't Provide Service
January 12, 2022

I have attended Eventbrite events in the past and paid for a dinner event today. When I went to print the tickets I found that this requires using a size paper I do not have so my printer cannot print the tickets. I tried to contact Eventbrite but the emails are "noreply" and there is no phone number. I tried contacting also their main site and learned it is not available to mere cujstomers. I tried calling also the restaurant sponsoring the meal, also no phone number available. I decided to ask for a refund because I have no way of knowing whether printed tickets will be necessary. Trying to do so, I learned they charge a hefty fee for refunds. This is not a trustworthy business. I note that, on this site, they have very low ratings, so I assume my complaint is not uncommon.

I along with dozens others showed up to go see the view from the the terminal tower observation deck yesterday on November 28th. Upon arrival myself and others talked with security officer who said we couldn't go up without a security guard. I and my children waited over an hour along with dozens others for nothing. Left disappointed and out of just under 20$. I left several email for so called event organizers. So far I've heard nothing back. I also requested a refund thru the app. I'll never pay for another event thru Eventbright and will check reviews in the future.

Written countless emails about my refund. My friends and I waited in line for 2.5hrs to get into the event and when I spoke to the organizer during the event he assured me I would be able to get a refund. No one has replied to any one of my emails since Oct 2016. I want my 60$ back

I am guessing this is a simple ticketing tool for event organizers. If so, then it shoud appear and function as nothing more than that. We bought tickets to an event and immediately had a conflict and tried to cancel within hours, and the event was 2 weeks away. Eventbrite mandates a minimum requirement for refund listings, yet the organizer had no refund listed at all. We ended up getting charged 50 dollars. They stated because they paid deposits etc for the event. They didn't pay any deposits based on our attendance since it was a holiday and no one responded to us when we first tried to cancel within hours. They got back to us 5 days later. If they would have canceled immediately as requested, there would be no deposits made, which I'm sure there weren't. They wanted our money and we can't get it back.

They have yet to refund or respond to my request due to a canceled event. I will be contacting my credit card company. They are a scam and should be investigated. I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing tickets from this company.

So, me and a few friends heard about this party at Scottish Rite Temple in KCMO. We brought tickets online. We were supposed to get a table and champagne for $44.20. The website said that was party admission and we were good to go after that. We brought tickets way over a month ago. So, we get to the venue on New Year's Eve and they say that that covers the champagne, but not entry to get in. We show our emails and there was no way to print them out, so we thought we just showed the email, which said eticket. My friends and I proved that the email and site said nothing about an additional price. Eventually, they let us in, but we had to go to the ATM (because they're cash only) and give an additional $30 to cover the "difference" without the champagne. The open bar would have been fine, but half the drinks were garbage. Not enough variety. And the speakers were blown out. The party was decent, but not worth almost $80.
