It took a couple of days to get the original response to my question, but that's probably reasonable. I'm sure there are LOTS of questions to parse through, and they have to be answered on a first come first served basis. Unfortunately, the answer I received was based on an incorrect assumption, and required that I reply in email to clarify. (Admittedly, the incorrect assumption may have been because I asked the question poorly, but even so...) Each time I would respond in email, to clarify, or probe, it would take another 2 to 3 days to get another response. That happened for about 2 weeks before finally getting a complete answer to what I was asking. That's too long... waiting 2 or 3 days between every response really drags it out more than it should. I appreciate the efforts, but if people have to wait that much before finally getting a resolution, they'll be driven to look elsewhere.
Their website says customer satisfaction guarantee with a low price guarantee symbol, but they really just mean low price guarantee. They will not take back or exchange any items once they have been opened regardless of the quality of those items. I bought and installed a bike rack for my car and after tightening the adjustment knob once, the plastic knob was stripped out. I wasn't pleased with the quality or the design and they refuse to exchange it even though I was going to get a more expensive higher quality rack. I would rather pay a few dollars more and get satisfaction guarantee than low price guarantee. There are tons of internet retaliers that sell the same brands. I would recommend using another retailer. BTW, I think these 5 star excellent customer service reviews are made up by employees. I would believe the 1 or 0 star more.

I ordered all of the right parts from etrailer but if I had ordered the parts that the manufacturer suggested I would be stuck with having to ship it all back. I would suggest that you edit my questions to ensure the proper information is disseminated.

I ordered a rail installation kit, hardware an brackets for a 2004 Dodge 1500. Price $116 with free shipping. When it arrived the kit was for a 2009 Ram 1500. When I contacted the company they wanted me to pay more for there mistake. Will never deal with them again.

I purchased a trailer dolly from them, and received it fairly rapidly. It turned out that it was not the right product for my needs. I have a 2400 pound travel trailer, and it took three adult men to move it a few feet on concrete in my backyard. When I called the company, they absolutely did not stand by their "satisfaction guarantee". Would not allow me to return it. I then caledl the actual company, and they told me they were shocked, and that they would have gladly taken it back ead I purchased it from them.
Absolutely DO check out all of the reviews online for this company. Most sites have them at one point out of 10. This is a warning. Don't buy from them!
Ordered several items, no indication out of stock until after order placed. Advised items would ship within 7 days, not happy but waited. Nine days later cancelled order as items had still not shipped. The vast majority of Internet retailers indicate f an item is out of stock before you order, and ship within a day or two. Etrailer.com is terrible, don't waste your time.
