Rejected all my withdraw requests, they really should not be allowed to trade to begin with as they do not hold any form of licence when I took my time to check them out. Reached out to experts at REClaim, tech fortunately they took my case and got my money back, kept me updated through the entire process.
Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with a brokerage. After weeks of incompetence, hours of calls they still end up transferring out thousands of dollars in shares they were not authorized to. Unbelievable the level of incompetence for a company managing so much money, scary.
I have been on hold for over 4 weeks 3 hours a day. I finally sent an e mail blast stating I am going o release information I have taped. I have now dealing with someone who will not release be deceased husband's funds. I have hired an attorney who said e trades is the single most worst companies to work with.
I am so upset and completely mind boggled as to
What happened to my account. This was on Dec. 2/20:20 my days gain showed 7,017,395.81. I was told that it did not happen. I asked for paper copies of what went on. Of course I was told 17, there was no way that my account could of reached that much, although I had one stock with a 9,900% gain with 1,250,000 shares. I am just in a space I never would of thought I would be. It recycled the next day and the profit gains was gone POOF! Where did it go? I have called for auditor of accounts to send me specifically what happened and still nothing. I don't know what to do? Can anyone help.
They used to be great, now they sucks. They put a lot of limitation on their service plus if they do not give you more credit cards if you live in certain states. I am not even feel secure having my money there no more.
6:35 PM. Been listening to their Hold music for 1:16:02. The purse insolence of this company is amazing. Most companies have the grace of calling you back when it's your turn, but obviously not E*Trade.
Tomorrow I move my 2.2M investment over to Raymond James.
The
N e-trade has arrive! I am trying to get info on a deceased persons account. There are not even any choices of departments in the automated system. This has to be the most awful phone experience ever for me. Two calls and over half an hour wasted each time. Terrible loud music, no break ins to even say "sorry, you're still on hold"! One guy said put you on hold for a few minutes! HAHAHA
Hi eveyone. Don't feel bad. These $#*!s took me for $165,000. I would be happy to join a lawsuit, and even happier to locate these clowns. Feel like an absolute idiot and have to admit they're pretty good at this. At one stage they turned $198,000 of profit in a single day, so I thought "hey this works". $250,000 later down the drain. However good news is a friend in New York put me in contact with this professional who helped recover all my lost funds from this scam brokers. Thanks to; char*ge*back*. T*ec*h This organization was able to help me recover my funds. I hope you get your Financial life back on track. Thank me later
Was about to lose a lot of money to this company if not for the help from winconsultants, ltd that assisted me on the case and I was able to get my investments back.
They can be really tricky and have a lot of that up their sleeves. They almost had me but so grateful it never happened, it would have wrecked me.
Have had an Etrade account for years, as did my Mother at my suggestion. I started trying to get an estate account made out of her personal account back in October. Phone hang time was/is unbelievable. Most of the reps were very social, many had no knowledge of estate accounts. There seemingly is a serious lack of communication between dept. managers and their minions. Completed closure of accts 7/16/22 I think
E Trades customer service was outstanding before Morgan Stanley merger went through. Now my card gets locked every other weekend. I have literally had to get a new debit card 5 times since this merger happened. I maintain a balance of 10k or more in my account at all times and rarely have access to my money on weekends. Switching brokerage accounts asap.
I've been trying for 15 years to close a CD at Etrade Bank. There is no communication near maturity and you can't get customer service on the phone. This year I started two months before maturity, uploading documents and assuming all was in order. It is now 14 days since maturity and there has still been no activity on disbursing my account. I filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Unit at the Department of Trade. They said that while every major bank and brokerage form has signed an agreement with them to receive and act on reprimands, Etrade has refused to do so.
ETrade is a horrible site for trading, if your an investor you can use it ok. However, for actually trading stock options the website and etrade pro java client are full of buggy issues. Their customer service for pension 401k is awful, I have a 401k plan where I am the administrator and the borrower. I have call them five plus times a year to get things correctly entered into their system.
In addition they can't seem to explain how their margin accounts work for some accounts and have all kinds of major issues. I would suggest using another broker!
Wanted to add a bank account to my regular account--they have all this advertising selling their banking services. So ok, I could use some banking services. I apply. They say it takes 5-7 days to fulfill. THREE weeks later, no response. No messages, no emails, nothing. I go to contact online, no email but there is chat service. Ok, I select chat. CHAT NOT AVAILABLE. I'm doing this during regular business hours, early enough for all US timezones! Are they even in business anymore? Did they go bankrupt or something? Guess I will transfer to one of their competitors.
I'm 63 yrs old... I'm new to all this but decided to use half my stimulus to do a little investing. My money posted in a great amount of time... I sent my daughter $100 so she can start investing... well that was a big mistake... they restricted my account for verification and wanted my ID... I was okay with that... sent my passport, driver's license, social security card. Ok then they decided that I need to write a letter begging them to reactivate my account.(bull****) customer service is the world's dumbest and always have an attitude as if its their money... 45-60 minutes hold and their mad... I just want my money back and never do business with them again! But after all that still restricted...
I deposited $1k to start trading. They claim they can't verify my identity even though I've sent them all the documents they've requested, multiple times. So now they're sitting on my $1k and I can't access it. When I call, wait times are between 2-8 hours (!) and nobody has been able to help me. I could have taken advantage of at least 3 market downturns in the time they've had my money. I want them to just return it to the bank account I funded from, but there's no way to do that... they refuse to transfer it back. I opened up an account with Fidelity instead, initiated a transfer request, but they won't transfer the money. They've essentially stolen $1k from me. They are scam artists. Don't trade with them!
I have trading accounts at several brokerages - all with margin. When the market goes down, Etrade lowers the equity percentages and requires more cash in order to keep the positions. Other brokerages may do the same but not the frequency as as Etrade.
When this happens only Etrade does not advise the account holder of a funds deficit. They choose to sell you out with a sellout fee 7 times their regular trading fees.
I don't have time to monitor my account every minute of every day but they seem to enjoy depleting the value of my account. I will never trade with them again.
I have tried to call and get through to someone on their customer service phone line for the last eight days. Estimated hold time reports on each call time as 90 minutes to 2 hours. Even more unprofessional and inefficient 45 minutes into waiting the phone call drops and hangs up. The customer service is absolutely horrible. There is no way to leave a message for anyone to call back. Most disappointed
I added money to my account with the intention of buying some stock. It went in as a contribution and didn't go toward purchasing stock so I chatted online with the company and found out I owe fees they never told me about. I didn't get a notification, email, or even a letter in the mail. Why wouldn't you let your customer know you owe them money? I don't understand the logic behind that. E*Trade needs to be more transparent if they want you to trust them with your money. I was forced to join because they took over my Capital One investment account. How difficult would it be to add a notification online so you know where you stand?
I've been a customer of Etrade since the late 1990's. After Morgan Stanley bought them and converted my accounts to their system they decided they no longer want my accounts. Told me today that they decided to close my accounts. I have just a few days to move my money or they will sell all assets and send me the balance after paying early withdrawal penalties and all the taxes. Lady was nasty on the phone and could not tell me why the choose to do this. I asked if it was a person or computer who decided to cancel me and she said they don't tell customers why they are no longer wanted. What a joke. I am leaving them and hope Morgan Stanley goes bankrupt. Or gets hit with malware.
Answer: They stole my money too! They are thieves. Be aware! Be very afraid!
Answer: Old post but everybody is better then etrade! Start with TD ameritrade they are very good
Answer: Was a legit company until Morgan Stanley took over, not I would say SCAM< SCAM< SCAM!
