To be honest with you, I can't think of anything at all. It was easy for me and the seller. I guess the only thing is I hope that there will be a way for me to pay without going to my bank. But still I'm very happy.
Very informative and first time went well
Terrible for sellers. I wouldn't sell another product through them. It's great if you're a buyer because Escrow allows them bloody murder as long as they (escrow) get paid.
Escrow's staff even lied to me, confirming that the seller was to blame and the transaction would be handled fairly. However, after the deliberation period ended, Escrow did a U-Turn and basically told me Too Bad seller, it's your word against theirs. This is the company you are dealing with. No wonder their rating right now is at 17%. Every bad review can't be wrong. Worst online company I have had the displeasure of doing business with.
I really like the 3rd party Escrow management. Customer Service reps were very helpful in the whole process for us first-timers. I would say the verification process (buyer-seller) takes some time which is tough when you are anxious to receive your purchased items. Overall everything worked out well.
These folks provide the most amazing customer service care, aid and most importantly, follow up. As someone who is not supremely tech savvy or patient, I cannot day enough how wonderful Joelan was in walking me through, step by step, what I needed to do. Thank you so much. Very highly recommended.
Extremely competent & quick. Called back to follow up both times i called instead of making me wait. Patient answering all my questions as i did an international wire and this is the first time i've used a service like this. Would recommend - and joelan was especially helpful!
Awesome, wasn't really sure if this would work out but I put my trust in it and was able to purchase a vehicle from a private party 2,100 miles away. Both parties were made whole in a very satisfactory transaction!
If you are lucky enough to get Manuel Rabade as your account manager, the entire process will be seamless. We were running into issues with our transaction but once we got connected to Manuel, our problems were resolved immediately. He is very responsive by email or phone and even followed up weeks after our transaction ended to make sure everything worked out.
Manuel Rábade is my guy. He's crazy fast at resolving issues and always available. I've had a hard time with escrow.com as a company lately with all this additional verification and it's caused me to lose some deals. However, more recently, Manuel has been awesome in helping assist my clients through this process.
So far it appears that they sit on the money much longer than is necessary. At one point they appeared to be a safe and secure site to work with. Now I worry about all of the data that they have collected as well as sitting on money in the middle before releasing it. Who is keeping an eye on the people who are supposed to be "security" and how secure are they? Not one of them have supplied me with a surname, if even a real first name.
For the purchase of a $250 website, the process was arduous and clumsy. It took several days for both parties to do what should have been acomplished in a few clicks. There are websites that allow you to buy and sell a house in less time.
Now that I own the website, it won't load... says it can't find the server? The seller won't respond to my questions and finding help on Shopify (other than paying an expert) seems just as slow.
I'm thankful I only spent a couple hundred dollars, I think Shopify has a long way to go to be turnkey.
I've used Escrow.com numerous times in the past to both buy & sell domain names and can't really fault it. Personally, I wouldn't use anything.
I recently used their 'Concierge' service to purchase a domain name & didn't know what to expect. Angela from the Escrow.com Concierge team was very helpful and extremely prompt when replying to emails. She also had a good knowledge of domain terms & regulations (such as avoiding a 60 day registrar lock) which ensured the transaction went smoothly and completed much more quickly than I had anticipated.
Tried to use E.com for vehicle purchase. After receiving our funds, they complicated, stalled and delayed at every opportunity, maximizing their interest profit and charging us fees as well. Eventually demanded our funds back and will never use them again. Consumer beware of these predatory stall tacticians!
I would like to give you more than 5, a 10 because you were very smart, efficient and let me catch up, helped me understand the process and I hope that you can share your knowledge to your other colleagues because that is really an important thing when dealing with customers, thank you
IT's a challenge to work with people in different states or countries. I really appreciate the efforts of their team to walk me through the process. Kim, Mikey and the whole team did a fantastic job helping me.
Thanks guys!
Dale
I will never do business with this company again. They have changed wire information and policies several times during the last year. When I called customer service to ask about a form of payment, the rep that worked for Escrow, could not answer it. Don't they deal as an intermediary to make payments and deal in money? I am so disappointed that if I did not proactively address this issue (going way out of my way to do so), I would have lost over $10,000 USD. This is completely unacceptable and I believe that this business shouldn't be handling people's money.
Fraudulently retaining the funds meant to go to a seller on ebay and representing themselves as Ebay.
They show up when you click on the ebay pay it now button but when i asked Ebay to intercede Ebay says they have no affiliation with escrow.com. Beware Beware Beware, this company is a scam
I sold an aircraft engine using escrow.com. Buyer was extremely professional, as was I, which is a must for these types of transactions. Escrow. Com's portion was flawless and the step in the process was always accurate on my account. Money was transferred to my account immediately after buyer sign-off.
The domain transfer started off a little rocky, but I take the blame for that. I made a mistake in one of the steps necessary for a smooth transfer, but Ivan let me know they could work with what I did, it would just take a little longer. It worked out exactly as he said, and the payment transfer also went through exactly as he said. Overall it was a good experience and I'd recommend escrow.com to anyone.
I made an agreement with a seller to buy a very expensive item.Escrow.com held the money. The seller shipped a fake package to a location in my zip code and Escrow.com said because they cannot verify past the tracking number, That was good enough proof for them. Then they want you to go to Arbitration using Net-Arb. Read complaints that this was a sham. It took complaints to Business oversight division to get my funds back. Whoever has the funds is the one who gets screwed! Stay Away!
Hi Walter, Escrow.com verifies delivery of merchandise to a Buyer, or Seller if merchandise is returned, based off of the information provided by the parties in the transaction. When shipping companies display tracking information for packages to be delivered, they will not display a recipient's entire address on the tracking page as to protect and respect the recipient's privacy. As you had mentioned, through our system, we do offer a dispute resolution process. Since Escrow.com is a neutral third party and does not settle disputes for either Buyer or Seller, we do provide three arbitration company options. When this stage is reached in a transaction both parties have the option to sign up and initiate the arbitration company selection and depending on who signs up first the other party must follow the initiating parties action. Once this stage is underway, the arbitrator will preside over the parties case, deliver a legally binding decision to both parties and Escrow.com. We then abide by their ruling and execute that motion to close the transaction safely and successfully. If you have any other questions about our services I'd be happy to help.
A week after instituting a funds transfer, and 6 days after the funds leaving my account, still waiting on these slow pokes to release the funds to an eBay seller. They are SLOW about everything except collecting their non-refundable service charges. Find any other way to do business on EBay.
Answer: Hi David, we've processed just over $3 billion in transactions to date, with transactions from $100 all the way up to over $10,000,000. In addition to our regular licensing requirements, I hope you'll take a moment to look at the customer testimonials on www.escrow.com
Answer: Hi Janine! Thanks for reaching out! As the largest online licensed and audited escrow operator, Escrow.com is your best choice for domain transfer transactions. Escrow.com safely holds or secures the Buyer's payment in a trust account until the entire transaction is complete. That way, Buyers can be confident that the domain will be registered in their name and Sellers can be sure they'll be paid. We also have the concierge service for domain transfers without content where the Seller needs not to wait for the Buyer to confirm receipt and full control of the domain as Escrow.com will essentially take care of that inspection in your behalf. The Seller will only need to transfer the domain to one of our secured registrar accounts and we can release the funds to them. On the Buyer's side, they don't need the inspect period to verify the domain because we will do that for them. Our concierge team will work directly with the Seller to transfer the domain to us so there's no need for the Buyer to stress with follow-ups about the domain transfer. As soon as we secure the payment, the Buyer only needs to advise us where they want the domain to be transferred to and we will take care of the rest. Our dedicated concierge specialists will assist you every step of the way. Feel free to leave your contact details and best time to call as we are happy to discuss with you further should you have other questions. Thanks!
Answer: Hi Milly, I'm not sure I'm understanding your question exactly but Escrow.com only displays bank information on our site and never via email. Check to make sure any emails you are receiving came from@escrow.com.
Answer: Hi Doug, start by making an offer to the seller through the AutoTrader.ca's Secure Payment platform. Once the offer is accepted you can pay into the escrow account and then go to inspect the car. If everything is as expected you can release funds to the seller right there on the spot. Two quick tips: Always make sure emails about your transaction are coming from an@escrow.com email address, and make sure you log into Escrow.com to make sure you're sending funds to the correct account. Hope this helps!
Hello Andrew, we had previously migrated our bank account from Bank of America to Wells Fargo back in November of 2016, however, we have not migrated or changed our banking details since last year. For transaction amounts of $5,000.00 and over Buyer's must fund their Escrow transaction using a wire transfer to our banking details. We provide these details in the transaction when Buyers select their payment method as well as have them publically listed on our website in the event the instructions are not printed or copied from within the transaction. In reference to policy changes and updates, are most recent and successful update in policy is our account verification of customer accounts. This is to comply with federal and state laws which ensure that banking and escrow companies are doing their part to counter money laundering, terrorism, and the funding of illegal organizations and activities. If you have any other questions about our services or policies I'd be happy to help.
